Although staff is nice, I'm not sure what is going on at this facility. After our first couple months utilizing them for boarding and daycare, things took a turn for the worse. In August, my Dalmatian contracted kennel cough. OK, it happens.. I just boarded her over the weekend for the first time since then. Guess what? Bronchial infection & infected and blistered paw pads. She was rushed to the vet within 24 hours of us picking her up from GVPH. She required 400 ml of fluid, antibiotics and antibacterial wipes for her feet. Will post pics. A 200 dollar boarding stay turned into a 400 after the Vet!!! Most importantly- my dog, usually energetic and happy - won't walk and is in pain and miserably ill !!!!!! Please be weary about using them for your dogs. My experience was going well, now? horrible. Like I said, I can see once... but twice? And to this extent? What a shame. read more

GV Pet Hotel is absolutely amazing. All the staff is caring and show a true love and compassion for the dogs. They are very responsive, communicative, and will put any pet parent at ease. I wouldn't send my dog anywhere else :) read more

Our dog has special medical needs. She was very well cared for and came home happy and healthy.

We highly recommend the Great Valley Pet Hotel for dog boarding. Our 1.5 year old border collie needed boarding when we were away for 10 days; although she was initially anxious, Mark, Halle and the team really helped her settle in. GVPH allows you to bring familiar foods, toys, and clothing for your pet's comfort. They offer 1:1 and group play, with daily treats and email updates with photos so pet parents remain informed on their pup's adventures. This was a very positive experience for all of us, thank you Great Valley Pet Hotel!! read more

The folks at Great Valley are the best. They are pleasant, accommodating and really good to both my dog, Professor and myself. I would highly recommend them for both daycare and boarding! read more

I was so happy with the care my two German Shepherds received during their visit. Highly recommend GVPT.

This was my first visit to great valley pet hotel. My dog Toby is a two year old neutered chocolate lab and has been kenneled many times before. He is very sweet, loves other dogs and people. We chose this location for its prices and dog day camp option, which we knew our dog would love. Sunday morning we get a call that our dog had blood all over his run when they went to check on him. They called asking if they could take him to the vet because his eye was swollen and they couldn't find where the blood was coming from. I got. Call that he had a hot spot from the heat and humidity caused by his kennel stay. The bill was 250 dollars and WE WERE RESPONSIBLE to pay!!! After going and back and forth with the owner she agreed to pay half, claiming it wasn't their fault but she feels bad that we don't trust her! We picked him up two days early and this is what we came back too! Beware of this place!! The owner tried to apologize but our dog looks like he was attacked and beaten! read more

Great Valley Pet Hotel - This was how we picked him up! - Pet Boarding Near Me - Malvern, Pennsylvania

I've confidently brought my anxiety-prone dog to Great Valley Pet Hotel twice now. They seem to really accommodate her nervous quirks, and she seems comfortable with the staff. I thought it a little excessive to charge $15 (in addition to the daily rate) to include her in outdoor playtime with the dogs that are there just for daycare. I'd think playing outdoors is part of the package at a reasonable pet hotel. But the staff is friendly and didn't mind when I called from vacation to check in. read more

Like the previous reviewer, my dog is also tremendously anxious. To the point he would come home physically ill from other boarding places, not having eaten or drank any water the whole time he was there and still rather upset. What a remarkable difference in picking him up from the GVPH! He was not whining or trembling on the way home as normal, he didn't need a gallon of water when we walked through the door and he seemed like his normal pleasant self! They told me they even sat with him while he ate because he seemed less stressed and more likely to eat that way. Thank you to the nice people at Great Valley Pet Hotel, you obviously and sincerely had my little pals best interest at heart and it showed, we will be back! read more

My dog stayed here for the first time for 2.5 days and I picked him up only to notice that he was injured with a deep puncture bite wound to the side of his face, oozing and bloody. Manager and staff continue to deny knowing how it happened and claim no reports were made. Groomer gave him a bath and also claimed she didn't see it. Yeah right. Doggy day camp negligence. Never coming back here again. I suggest you stay far away and avoid the headache. Giving 2 stars because the manager is a stand up guy who did the right thing and covered the entire expensive vet bill ($350) to have my dogs bite wound treated and avoid further legalities. Now my pooch has 5 stitches, antibiotics, and a cone on... all paid for by the GVPH. Not a safe place for your dog. My dog is 3.5 yrs old, 40 lbs, very friendly, professionally trained, and non-agressive. No reason why another dog should be getting ahold of my baby's face without anyone noticing. Very disappointed. read more

I will not be bringing my dog back here. My dog was signed up for an overnight stay with group play during the day. I was never told the cost of everything included upon check-in nor was I given the different options since prices are not published on their website. I received a call while I was away and was told that my dog was behaving very well and was very sweet, but since she "looks like" she could be part Pit Bull she was not allowed to participate in group play. When we picked her up the invoice was more than $100 for one day/overnight in which she was by herself for most of the time. Ridiculously overpriced, and if you have a mixed breed dog you will be disappointed in their so called "evaluation." Do not recommend! read more

Our fur baby is like our 2nd child. We completely trust the team at Great Valley Pet Hotel. The employees are kind, caring and truly love dogs/cats. Our puppy loves going to camp every day when we are at work/school. The dogs play for hours everyday. New dogs are gradually introduced to the group, so everyone is safe and happy. Dogs are separated by size-to make sure all is well. The place is clean; it's on 2 acres and it's reasonably priced. read more

Fantastic professional staff. Total trust and interest in animals. A home away from home The best part is there is always someone to talk to on the other side of the phone to answer your questions and not some automated answering machine. P. S The dogs play outside and when it's too hot hot or cold they are brought inside to an indoor play area which is hard to find anywhere. We have boarded and used daycare and used the bathing facility and their food and he returns tired and a happy hound with no injuries :) read more

I have boarded my dogs here for years! The staff is fabulous and Gatsby has refused to leave on a few occasions - Christine is the best groomer around!! read more

Have sent my German shepherd here for day camp and boarding -- they are great. They really took the time to get to know ramsay and understand how best to care for him -- very comforting especially when shepherds can be so particular! read more

I will never be bringing my dog back to this place. I went on vacation for a week and when I came back and asked how my dog was behaved for the week the woman rolled her eyes and said he was stubborn. this annoyed me because that's not the first thing I want to hear about my dog after leaving him for the first time in his life. He was picked up on Wednesday and I was told he was given a bath Tuesday. when we picked him up he was still wet from the day before and was dirty with mud and dirt. my dog has wrinkles on his head and they were not properly taken care of resulting in a horrible rash and fur loss. also his ears were oozing with ear wax. he had to be taken to the vet and put on steroids, antibiotics, sprays, and creams. after hundreds of dollars and having to be shaved he is now better but he has scaring from the rash. he was not properly taken care of at all. for a place who claims to know how to properly take care of pets while owners are away they are wrong. my dogs simple needs of having his wrinkles cleaned (especially if he was given a bath) and other routine health checks were not too much to ask for. extremely disappointed in this place and I will never take my dog anywhere near them again. read more
