I have a very anxious, older dog, who is unable to be kenneled. With a family trip to Disney coming up, I needed to find an alternative to a traditional boarding facility. Terry has provided us with so much more than just that. She gave us comfort and peace of mind. We did weekly daycare visits leading up to our trip so that my dog could get to know Terry and get comfortable with her. This helped so much with her anxiety. When it came time for our trip I knew that my dog was in good hands and that she would feel comfortable and safe with Terry. Terry took care of her, like she was her own and sent me daily updates letting me know how she was doing, which I loved. I will definitely continue to use Terry's services and recommend her to everyone! read more

She scheduled a meet and greet with us for all 3 of our dogs, providing a sense of relief in leaving them overnight. She has soothing music playing at all times and easy access to the secured yard. Finding Terry has been a godsend! Our little guy Spencer got used to my husband teaching from home during Covid, and his separation anxiety got even worse when he went back to teaching in person. Every morning I drop Spencer off with Terry and pick him up in the afternoon, and he loves it! He gets so excited to go in the morning and actually lets me leave without a care, which never happens! You can really tell she is a dog lover and is passionate about what she does, and is very knowledgeable. She transformed her whole back yard and basement to be totally dog friendly! Very high fences as well so the jumpers are safe. My dog went from sitting in the window sill crying and shaking for 8 hours straight to being able to play with his friends every day and run around in the grass 10/10, 5 stars , 100% tomato score! read more

Remarkable level of pet sitting. It's more like a pet-cation for our little man, Checkers! She/Terry Lynn is now family, affectionately known to him as 'Aunt Terry.' Cannot imagine leaving him in the care and hands of anyone else. We never need to check in on him while we are away, as Terry's daily social media posts with pet shenanigans are always enjoyable and such a hoot! Terry has never let us down no matter what our duration or last minute stop in needs have been. She's the BEST and our pet has so many friends there now. Honestly, I'm not sure that I've ever realized how biased Yelp can be until seeing the "recommended" and "unrecommended" reviews of this location. Yesterday was my first experience seeing Terry Lynn's facility and meeting her pets and the guest pets that are being boarded there. First of all, in response to the "recommended" review - no, the animals are not kenneled unless specifically requested or needed because - as stated by Terry Lynn herself and advertised - it is "kennel free boarding." Yes, this is not for every dog - hence why she does her very best to meet the owner and the dog before hand to make sure it would be a good fit for boarding or pet sitting at her home and recommending home visits/walks or alternative solutions if that type of boarding is not appropriate. Yes, it is not a super fancy boarding facility, mostly because it is her comfortable home that she chooses to make the home of not only her dogs, but also her "guest" dogs and - well - dogs are dogs! She and her employees do their very best to keep the house as clean as and comfortable as possible (given all the canine guests) by keeping the laundry going, sweeping, mopping, scooping poop outside several times a day and cleaning any pet mess as soon as it is seen. And the "basement" is quite well situated and comfortable for the big dogs, with lots of room, an easy to clean floor, a separate but not enclosed room (in case a dog or dogs need their own space for a bit,) a futon, beds, blankets, and a TV to give them an extra "human" touch when the humans are not in the room. There are also two other doggie rooms for smaller dogs or dogs that need to be (or that the owners prefer to be) separate from the rest of the bunch. There is plenty of room for all of them to run and play outside, toys, always plenty of fresh water everywhere, and lots of clean blankets, beds, and some toys in every room. And while Terry herself is not always at home - especially as she also does pet sitting/dog walking from at others homes - she hires people that are experienced and loving with animals to make sure there are people there for them, to supervise, to clean, to play, and to cuddle them. Yes, not every place is for everyone/every dog, but given the long term/repeat/happy clientele - which appear to be from people who posted the other reviews that are NOT shown as recommended - this place clearly deserves much more than the one, one star review that Yelp has deemed to show. read more

If I could give a zero I would. The dogs do not stay in the home. They stay in a dark, smelly basement with dirty furniture and vacant appliances. My dog was terrified and ran as fast as possible away from that place when we picked her up. She hates the car but ran straight in. Terry leaves the dogs unattended in the basement when she "goes to lunch with a potential client". The dogs are not kept in kennels when unsupervised so who knows what happens. I was very hopeful for this service but it did not turn out well at all. read more

We have been taking our two Great Pyrenees dogs to Terry for four years. About 5 years ago, Terry saw two of these dogs (brother and sister) at a charity affair. She bought both because she wanted to make sure they were well cared for. She kept the boy and found the perfect owners for the girl ... us! We already had a Pyr girl, but we had been looking for a rescue companion for her. Terry has turned her private home and property into a terrific place to take your pets. The basement is bright and clean, and the dogs have free access to the outside. The outdoor area is a huge lawn, made safe with a sturdy 6 foot fence all around. As for Terry, she is the most compassionate dog person I have ever met, bar none. She takes good care of "her" dogs, making sure all their needs are met. I would not take my girls anywhere else. read more

Our puppy Otto just spent a week at Terry Lynn's Critters and it was a great experience for him. As a puppy he has an abundance of energy and it would have been very hard, if not impossible, for him to stay in a crate for a week. He loved running freely in the fenced in yard and quickly made friends with the other puppies. I looked forward to seeing the videos and pictures Terry posted on Facebook everyday. She even made homemade frozen treats for all the critters, residents and guests alike, which they all thoroughly enjoyed. Also, I think the socialization is really a bonus for the puppies. Otto came home with more patience and better manners that I think he learned from the older dogs. I'm planning on taking him to Terry's once or twice a week for Play Days. read more

She provides high quality space - our 1-yr old Pointer has plenty of room to stretch his legs out and sprint with his friends in her expansive dog yard. When we first met, she interviewed him for compatibility with the other dogs, which I fully respect... she knows her clients. Her dog-handling skills are genuine from her many years of experience. Our two rescue dogs love, love, love going to Terry's in fact when we go to pick them up, they run back downstairs to continue the party! While away, the fur kids enjoyed a Birthday party for a 13 year old boarder and then experienced an Easter festival (both of which Terry sent pics of!) while bringing home Easter treats. Why would they want to leave!?! Terry does a wonderful job with my Great Pyrenees and my other large dog too. I think not having to but them in a kennel is the key to their ease of transition while we are gone. read more

I cannot believe one word of the negative Yelp review posted. Terry Lynn is a dream, and she is living her dream of operating this service. Everyone I know who has had their dogs there for a play day or a vacation LOVE her and the environment. I know personally that the dogs have the run of the house (NOT THE BASEMENT!), as well as plenty of dedicated outside play area. And who else takes the dogs out for walks and runs? I suspect the review, below; it just doesn't line up with everything I know about her and her service as a resident of the area and also in the business community. read more
