When I confronted them with this information they just tried to convince me that I was mistaken. It wasn't worth a lawsuit, but in my opinion they're dishonest and should not be trusted.

I like the fact that he called to tell me he was on his way and the time it would take to get to my house. This was important because a friend offered to drive from a great distance to sit with me until a locksmith arrived but with a short ETA, it wasn't necessary (saved my friend time and gas). Russel was friendly and worked quickly on that rainy evening to replace the lock on my security door. Unfortunately, because the lock was a deadbolt he had to drill through the key hole to remove the entire unit. Although a bit expensive, I'm very happy with the quality of service received from Jefferson Locksmith from the time I placed my call up until the end of the service call and I highly recommend them. I would 100% recommend anyone or myself if I ever had a key/lock issue…read more I had a unique issue where I bought a padlock online that didn't came with the key to unlock my padlock, but I had the access code that represents for the key. I looked in The Home Depot if they were able to help me, but weren't able to help, due them only able to copies of a key you need to present. So I called Brass Lock & Key with my issue and see if they were able to help and thank god they were able to! The person on the phone was very nice talking to understand the situation I was in and ask they may be able to resolve the issue tomorrow if I came in which I agreed too. Conveniently however, they were able to make the keys with the information I provided earlier and left them out for me to pick up. The told me to come back during their active hours tomorrow if the keys didn't work, but thank god they did! What makes this even better is that they didn't charge for this simple service which really feels like such a public service with the fact it was after-hours. I can't stress enough how much this means for how sincere and they were with me, because my current situation is stressful to explain with how many things are changing and are needing my attention. Yall are amazing, I am so grateful with your service! I can't express it enough!

Short story: This place is unreliable, unresponsive, and seems to be playing a game of bait and…read moreswitch. I strongly advise against using them. Long story: I misplaced my car key fob and needed a replacement. My mechanic suggested Father and Son. I called and scheduled a meeting in Pottstown on Friday afternoon to get a new fob and have it programmed. They arrived with the wrong part and took a long time to figure it out. To make matters worse, they wiped my working fob, so my car wouldn't start. I had to wait almost an hour for the car's computer to reset, and thankfully, my original fob worked again. They explained that they needed an OEM part instead of the aftermarket part they had brought, that it would arrive by the next Tuesday, and that the $250 they quoted would be honored. Tuesday passed without any news. I called them on Wednesday, and the part still hadn't arrived, but they thought it would be in on Thursday, so we could fix the issue on Friday. I called them Friday morning to set a time, and they said around 4 p.m. I waited all afternoon for them. 4 p.m. came and went with no word. I called again at 5 p.m. to find out that the locksmith had gone home sick earlier that day and hadn't called to let me know he wouldn't be able to come. He said he could come out on Saturday. Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m. arrived with no word, so I called them again. No answer this time, so I sent them a text message. I received a text saying he was still sick and that he would send his father to come out to do the job. Oh, and by the way, the OEM part was more expensive than the one he had bought in the first place, and the price had increased from the previously quoted $250 to $300. At this point, I told him to tell his father to stay home, forget about it, and I would take care of getting a new key fob myself. So, to sum it up, they didn't recognize the compatible part, bought the wrong one, had a terrible time communicating, and then pulled a bait and switch. Needless to say, I won't call them again, won't recommend them to anyone, and I've advised my mechanic not to refer them to anyone ever again.

Mike was very helpful and professional and nice. He was working on a job and said he would be over as soon it was complete. While the job took longer than expected, Mike was very apologetic, although it was not his fault. Part of the doorknob assembly was broken. Mike was able to get the door open, replace the broken bit, and reassemble the knob and he lubricated the whole unit for smooth assembly. Again, top notch service and will keep their number at the ready.
