Complaints: you park no where near where you have access to your room . No problem if you are here for a night of gambling. However, we were on a two week road trip and had to , to use the traditional Southern word ,schlep our luggage and accessories from garage to room . No big deal , you might think . Wrong! Big Deal! You get no cart and no assistance and the distance from garage to elevator to room is great and taxing. The showers have no safety bars and the floor is slippery. Would it cost too much to put a glass in the bathroom? You get hit with a $38 fee for a use of the extra special facilities they provide, which of course is a complete con job. That's just , we're charging you additional money. Guess what I actually enjoyed staying here but if you're seriously on the road, stay at one of the motels across then street . You have easy access to the casino and the food court.

If you bring a dog, you will be automatically placed in a smoking room, regardless of whether you have smoke allergies or health conditions. The smoke smell was so overwhelming that I felt like I couldn't breathe. When I complained, front desk management informed me that all pet-friendly rooms are strictly designated as smoking rooms. I have a heart condition and other medical issues that severely flared up because of the poor air quality in this room. Furthermore, because every single pet room is crowded down the exact same hallway, the entire floor felt and sounded like a kennel. My dog was constantly stressed by the other animals. For the expensive pet fees I paid, I could have easily hired a pet sitter at home and spared us both the misery. The room itself was completely devoid of comfort. While I understand why there are no carpets in pet rooms, they didn't even provide washable area rugs. The floors were freezing, there were barely any pillows, and the room felt entirely uninviting. I really wish I had stayed anywhere else. This was hands-down the worst hotel stay of my life. If I could leave negative stars, I would.

I was provided a welcome bag with a water, Doritos and a Hershey bar. So that was nice. The AC in the hallways were working this visit and the AC in the room was working. So I am glad those issues were fixed. The hotel seemed much different than my prior stay. A problem still not addressed is with the outlets as there was not anywhere to plug in my laptop at the desk. The only outlets I could find were in the bathroom and on the bedstand. I did find a power strip behind the desk later but those were all being used. The tv turned on by itself at 2:52am and woke me up. So if I ever stay here again, I will unplug the tv before going to sleep. Breakfast was mostly good but some of the items like the fruit compote, seemed rancid. After one bite I decided it wasn't worth getting sick. The items weren't stored properly or replaced with fresh from the day before. I was happy to move on. If someone hadn't set the timer on the tv to turn on in the middle of the night, this would have been a great stay. So I would return here again but unplug the tv the next time.

What make me rate this 5 stars was JOAN who ran the breakfast area. The 2nd person called in sick and Joan ran breakfast not missing a beat. Not only keeping everything stocked and the whole area clean, she made time to greet most people with a smile and asking if everything was okay. Huge shout out and thank you to Joan!

We immediately brought the issue to management's attention and documented everything with photos. The hotel owner spoke with us directly and confirmed in writing that we should have the vehicle repaired and that the hotel would reimburse us for the cost. Based on that commitment, we moved forward with the repairs, which totaled approximately $2,000. We have documentation of everything, the parking lot hazard, the vehicle damage, the owner's written agreement, the repair process, receipts, and the completed repair. Unfortunately, once the repairs were completed and it was time for the promised reimbursement, communication essentially stopped. Multiple attempts to follow up have gone unanswered. Accidents and property issues can happen anywhere. What matters is how a business handles them. We gave this hotel many opportunities to honor its written commitment, but instead, the owner stopped responding and is leading us to spend additional time and money pursuing outside avenues for a resolution. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend staying here. If the owner's word cannot be trusted and legitimate concerns are simply ignored, guests may be left responsible for unexpected expenses and forced to pursue the matter elsewhere just to obtain what was promised. We are now escalating the matter through IHG and considering additional avenues to recover the money we spent based specifically on the hotel owner's written commitment. However we have also been informed each hotel is privately owned. I strongly encourage anyone who stays here to document any property-related incident carefully and keep all communication in writing. Not a trust worthy owner at all!

You also get free breakfast, quiet rooms, and a seasonal pool. If I were really searching for any negatives, booking this place is somewhat of a gamble because they don't do refunds. That's based on my experiences anyway. But you will get incredible value! The only other negative is that you have to take the scenic route around the river one way or the other to get to the property. If it's late at night anf you're a female, you might want to walk with a friend or ask security to escort you. I have never heard of any problems like that in Cherokee. This is probably because the tribe wants people coming back. If you interfere, it ain't gonna be good! This is their land. I highly recommend you respect it. The clink on an Indian reservation is probably one of the last places you want to be. We went off the reservation on the review though, didn't we? My bad! This is an awesome place to stay. Not my #1 in the area but my top three due to convenience and the ability to walk to the hotel (I drink red wine sometimes). I will be staying here for one night very soon. Looking forward to it. And I will not tell you my #1 property in the area. I want to keep that secret to myself. But this place is pretty awesome!

It looks like one of those older motels where all rooms are ground level and you park right outside your door. The main office is very small with a window to talk to the clerk. We had made reservations over the phone and everything was in order. We got our key and parked right outside our room door. The room is a bit small but better described as cozy rather than cramped. Walking in you find the bed and a small sitting area with the bathroom at the rear of the room. Everything was in good working order and smelled fresh. This was everything we wanted in a room and nothing we did not need. It was also very quiet, and you could sit out in front of your room if you wanted to enjoy the cooler evening. We did not try the breakfast as we had planned to meet at a local restaurant, but the omelets certainly looked good. We absolutely would stay here again when in the area, and next time we will try their breakfast.
