Can't say enough great things about Anatoly! He knows his shit when it comes to tailoring! Took my ball gown there for alterations and he was right on the money. Was looking for a new tailor - if only for one job - since my tailor of many years had taken ill and had to be hospitalized. Since I needed my suit tailored for a wedding that was only a week away, I HAD to seek out a new tailor. Anatoly is a true professional and was a delight to deal with. He is patient and polite. He suggests how much to alter your clothes but gives you the liberty of expressing your preferences, too, and you can have a conversation with him about what would work best in the end. I had my first suit tailored by him and he was spot on! It looked great from top to bottom. I made the mistake of not bringing with me the shoes I intended to wear with the suit and he was quite understanding and welcomed me to come back with those shoes so that I would be 100% confident that the end result of my pants' hemming would be just like I would want it. His office space is also spacious and features 2 fitting rooms. Pricing is fair (not "cheap" though). Over the years, I have used the services of several Italian tailors and I will say that Anatoly has performed superior tailoring to any tailor that I have ever dealt with. I've gone to Mr. Schneider's before for my more expensive clothing because I only trust him to do the work. Today I went to him with a major fashion crisis but realized upon arrival that his studio closes for lunch at 1 pm and I got there at 12:55. I apologized profusely but he gracefully told me it wasn't a problem and proceeded to discuss my debacle of a dress. He explained what the issue was and answered my questions until I was satisfied that there wasn't much I could really do about my dress. I really appreciated the time he took to help me, especially since I was cutting into his lunch hour. Mr. Schneider does good work, he's more than courteous to his customers and his prices are fair. Excellent Tailor. I took a one piece hunting (coverall) suit there that I broke the zipper on. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about which zipper to use. I supplied the zipper myself and he advised me that he would rather use a heavier zipper than the one I bought so I bought the stronger zipper and he installed it like it was never broken in the first place. Other places may have just installed what I gave them and I could have had the same issue again later on. Now I have a good heavy duty zipper like you get on a Carhartt jacket which I will never have to worry about breaking again. He was even able to fix a zipper on a bag I use on my motorcycle and he didn't even charge me for that. Will definitely be going back next time I need something hemmed or fixed. read more

Simply the best. The tailor(I forget his name)takes the time to explain everything that he's doing, and is patient while I nitpick about what I want. Though he is happy to make recommendations to you when he is asked, he will also go against them if you ask him to nicely. I had hemmed here and the hem has yet to come out through dozens of wedding and bar-mitzvah dances; he said he did the hem by hand rather than by machine (so as to improve durability) and didn't charge extra! I drive 40 minutes from East Meadow, usually in traffic to take my suits here. I am very picky when it comes to my suits and I usually require a lot of changes. I usually tell him to "take it in everywhere" as I enjoy a slim fitting look. I only trust Anatoly to handle my Hugo Boss suits. He has a very good eye and his level of customer service is fantastic. I highly recommend him. I also once brought my wife here to have a dress taken in because it seemed loose in the bust and Anatoly was honest enough to tell us that perhaps the cost and results may not be worth the work and she may just be better off looking for a different dress. Worst experience I ever had with a tailor. Gave them multiple pants and was charged double what any other tailor would charge. The work was horrible and I took it back multiple times only to be disappointed with the work each and everytime. So far 1 pair cannot be fixed anymore since they shortened the pants way to much. The other 4 pairs will be taken to a new tailor tomorrow morning in the hopes I can salvage them. So far I have spent 200 dollars with them on tailoring and had to throw out 1 pair of jeans (cost of $100) with the rest up in the air.. I strongly suggest you stay away unless you like to pay twice the market rate for the worst possible work (and attitude) out there read more

Incredible. I'm a 30 year old guy who typically buys suits from department stores that have their own tailors, so needless to say I never needed a tailor. Recently, I received a suit as a wedding party gift that was... unflattering. I needed a ton of alterations and Anatoly was just the man for the job. I wanted a European cut for the suit, and a European cut was what I got. the pant waist was taken in, legs slimmed and bottoms hemmed. The jacket was pinched at the torso and the sleeves cut just perfectly to show my cuff links. Seriously amazing job. The price was great (so great that I gave a little extra because I was so pleased with how the suit came out). He was timely and texted me when the suit was complete.
