Best tailor in the business. Old world tailoring is mostly a lost art except with Mr. A.

Anatoly is a great tailor, who makes astute observations and recommendations. I highly recommend his services. He has fair prices and does excellent work. He also works according to your schedule (note - if you tell him there's no rush, he'll take 3-4 weeks). I've been extremely satisfied with his work - consistent, meticulous, and thorough. read more

Anatoly helped me alter a suit for an upcoming wedding and it was a great experience! The prices are fair and Anatoly is very honest about whether an alteration is going to be worth the cost. One thing to note is that he isn't necessarily going to make recommendations for what will look better or worse. I'd suggest coming with a photo or look in mind that you definitely want. In addition to the suit, I also got two of my pants altered here, and they turned out great! read more

I needed to have a dress altered and this place took care of it in a timely manner and great service overall.

Can't say enough great things about Anatoly! He knows his shit when it comes to tailoring! Took my ball gown there for alterations and he was right on the money. Shortened it by 2 inches and brought the waist in by an inch and all cost $55! Score! He also does amazing alterations on suits and shirts for men as well, my hubs really likes his workmanship. Also an easy LIRR train ride on the port washington line. Get off at the Great Neck station and the shop is a couple of blocks away. read more

Was looking for a new tailor - if only for one job - since my tailor of many years had taken ill and had to be hospitalized. Since I needed my suit tailored for a wedding that was only a week away, I HAD to seek out a new tailor. Anatoly is a true professional and was a delight to deal with. He is patient and polite. He suggests how much to alter your clothes but gives you the liberty of expressing your preferences, too, and you can have a conversation with him about what would work best in the end. I had my first suit tailored by him and he was spot on! It looked great from top to bottom. I made the mistake of not bringing with me the shoes I intended to wear with the suit and he was quite understanding and welcomed me to come back with those shoes so that I would be 100% confident that the end result of my pants' hemming would be just like I would want it. His office space is also spacious and features 2 fitting rooms. Pricing is fair (not "cheap" though). I will definitely be switching tailors and coming to Anatoly in the future, even if I have to drive 20 minutes to go to him. read more

Anatoly is the best. He knows exactly what to do and how to do it. If you want the best come and see him. Very precise and easy! He has helped me a lot with my sport coats and jackets read more

Anatoly is such a skilled professional. He hemmed a gown I wore to my son's wedding. The job was perfect! He also accommodated me to get the job done sooner per my request even though he is always so busy. Such a pleasure to work with and I am so happy I found him! read more

Very decent Tailor! He did my dress perfectly and with care also my husband's suit he was patient and adjusted it as he wanted! I recommend going there if you want something to look professional read more

I went for a pair of pants to get hemmed because I'm short and the pants were way too long on me to the point that cuffing it would not look good. The pants came out perfect and just how i wanted it! Total price was 15 dollars which is not too bad. I will definitely be coming back here next time. Highly recommend! read more

My husband had his wedding suit tailored here. Anatoly is such a sweet man and he does beautiful work. My husband was very happy and will return to him for any future tailoring needs. read more

I have been going to Anatoly's shop for about two years. He is the best tailor that I have ever visited. Over the years, I have used the services of several Italian tailors and I will say that Anatoly has performed superior tailoring to any tailor that I have ever dealt with. His rates are very fair and are less expensive than other tailor that I have visited. I have had him tailor several quality suits and sport jackets and he has done some intricate and difficult work with precision. He certainly is a master tailor and certainly trust him with all of my garments. I highly recommend him as he delivers superb tailoring at reasonable fees! read more

I've gone to Mr. Schneider's before for my more expensive clothing because I only trust him to do the work. Today I went to him with a major fashion crisis but realized upon arrival that his studio closes for lunch at 1 pm and I got there at 12:55. I apologized profusely but he gracefully told me it wasn't a problem and proceeded to discuss my debacle of a dress. He explained what the issue was and answered my questions until I was satisfied that there wasn't much I could really do about my dress. I really appreciated the time he took to help me, especially since I was cutting into his lunch hour. Mr. Schneider does good work, he's more than courteous to his customers and his prices are fair. I really can't ask much more of a tailor. read more

I'm not one to leave reviews but I wanted to share my experience with Anatoly. His work is consistently excellent, price is very reasonable, and he is always willing to work with what you want or with your schedule. I would highly advise people to go to Anatoly for all your tailoring needs. There is a reason why myself and so many others have been 100% satisfied Dave about Anatoly, minus the one person who just reviewed before me. Though I think he may have been trying to review another tailor in the area since that has never occurred to me the countless times I've been here. TL;DR: you won't be disappointed, bring your clothes that need tailoring to Anatoly read more

Anatoly is one of the sweetest people I have ever met! Went in to get pants hemmed shorter and wasn't exactly sure how much I wanted to cut off. Tried them on and Anatoly did a wonderful job considering what kind of shoes I would wear with them. Excellent service for a reasonable price ! read more

Excellent Tailor. I took a one piece hunting (coverall) suit there that I broke the zipper on. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about which zipper to use. I supplied the zipper myself and he advised me that he would rather use a heavier zipper than the one I bought so I bought the stronger zipper and he installed it like it was never broken in the first place. Other places may have just installed what I gave them and I could have had the same issue again later on. Now I have a good heavy duty zipper like you get on a Carhartt jacket which I will never have to worry about breaking again. He was even able to fix a zipper on a bag I use on my motorcycle and he didn't even charge me for that. Will definitely be going back next time I need something hemmed or fixed. read more

Simply the best. The tailor(I forget his name)takes the time to explain everything that he's doing, and is patient while I nitpick about what I want. Though he is happy to make recommendations to you when he is asked, he will also go against them if you ask him to nicely. I had hemmed here and the hem has yet to come out through dozens of wedding and bar-mitzvah dances; he said he did the hem by hand rather than by machine (so as to improve durability) and didn't charge extra! The perfect combination of quality and service. I'll be bringing my clothes to him for as long as I'm in the area. read more

Great Neck Tailor - Gizmo the Chinchilla is so cute & cuddly. - Sewing & Alterations Near Me - Great Neck, New York

He's altered many suits for me. All were perfect. In addition theres a bad review of him by someone named Anna? She's quite wrong because he does tell people that if you want to shorten the sleeve length of a suit, for real buttons, there will still be a mark. I know this because I asked him to do it for me and he told me that. Anyways this guys is great! read more

Anatoly is amazing and super friendly. He made alterations for my husbands suits and dress shirts and did an amazing job. He really listens and offers suggestions if you want. This is the first tailor in New York we've seen who is very skilled and not pushy with his opinions. Prices are very reasonable and he is always backed up with work. You can tell he will not rush his work for the sake of quantity. He always has high end clothing hanging on his racks and is very trustworthy. My husband would pick up his shirts and sometimes if he needs further alterations, Anatoly will do it for free. Great business and favorite tailor in New York other than dynasty tailor in Manhattan. read more

I drive 40 minutes from East Meadow, usually in traffic to take my suits here. I am very picky when it comes to my suits and I usually require a lot of changes. I usually tell him to "take it in everywhere" as I enjoy a slim fitting look. I only trust Anatoly to handle my Hugo Boss suits. He has a very good eye and his level of customer service is fantastic. I highly recommend him. I also once brought my wife here to have a dress taken in because it seemed loose in the bust and Anatoly was honest enough to tell us that perhaps the cost and results may not be worth the work and she may just be better off looking for a different dress. We appreciated this honesty, and it shows he has his customers' best interests at heart. read more

Anatoly always does a great job, and Ive trusted him with numerous suits, denim, and scrubs. Im glad to have found someone who focuses exclusively on tailoring, and his shop is very spacious and private. read more

I brought a jumpsuit in to Anatoly for alterations. He was very kind, professional, and timely with his work. He clearly demonstrated skill and experience in tailoring and alterations, as he was able to provide feedback on how the jumpsuit should fit properly given my proportions. He is also very responsive and communicative, and finished the job before our deadline. I will definitely be returning for future alterations! read more

Gave me a price and encouraged me to shop around. He was so friendly and accommodating. I would definitely recommend.

I have taken pants and jeans to Anatoly on different occasions and he is not only a very kind, patient tailor but he also does a great job! I would definitely bring him anything that needs altering. So glad he is so close to my house. He charges $11 for a hem. I paid him cash because the bill was small. Not sure if he accepts credit cards, he may. read more

Been coming here since I moved to the neighborhood and it's great to have a tailor u can rely on that that's nearby, Anatoly is professional and competent, prices are good as well. read more

Worst experience I ever had with a tailor. Gave them multiple pants and was charged double what any other tailor would charge. The work was horrible and I took it back multiple times only to be disappointed with the work each and everytime. So far 1 pair cannot be fixed anymore since they shortened the pants way to much. The other 4 pairs will be taken to a new tailor tomorrow morning in the hopes I can salvage them. So far I have spent 200 dollars with them on tailoring and had to throw out 1 pair of jeans (cost of $100) with the rest up in the air.. I strongly suggest you stay away unless you like to pay twice the market rate for the worst possible work (and attitude) out there read more

He did a perfect job with both of my jeans I can't wait to wear my jeans now!!! He will be the person I go to when I need any alterations read more

Anatoly is not only a great tailor, but also a nice guy. Quick turn around time and he shoots you a text once your alterations are ready.

I love this man. He fixes everything perfectly and with reasonable prices. Very nice, as well!

Anatoly is great. Not only is his craftsmanship EXCELLENT, he gives great advice and suggestions. He is skilled with all kinds of fabric. I have had many jeans tapered and hemmed, and shirts/jackets tailored and they all came out perfect. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone. His prices are also very reasonable and he takes credit card. read more

Anatoly is a phenomenal tailor. I was in dire need of a great tailor since I had recently purchased an expensive leather jacket and sports coat that needed alterations; hence, couldn't take a chance w/ any ole tailor. After looking for a reliable tailor online, I found Anatoly (who, by the way is 15 miles away). It was worth the trip! He's very meticulous and ensures that you walk out of his shop pleased. I am highly satisfied with his work and can't say enough great things about Anatoly. read more

Great attention to detail, fair prices, and overall nice guy. Anatoly was able to take in one of my favorite shirts and restitch a relatively complicated pattern. read more

Incredible. I'm a 30 year old guy who typically buys suits from department stores that have their own tailors, so needless to say I never needed a tailor. Recently, I received a suit as a wedding party gift that was... unflattering. I needed a ton of alterations and Anatoly was just the man for the job. I wanted a European cut for the suit, and a European cut was what I got. the pant waist was taken in, legs slimmed and bottoms hemmed. The jacket was pinched at the torso and the sleeves cut just perfectly to show my cuff links. Seriously amazing job. The price was great (so great that I gave a little extra because I was so pleased with how the suit came out). He was timely and texted me when the suit was complete. If you need a good tailor, I suggest you give Anatoly a shot. You won't be disappointed. He's certainly earned my token of trust and gained a customer that will be coming back to him for years. read more
