The mall was very nice. Spent a couple of hours in the Tmobile store. Couldn't find the food court? Need more direction screen's that tell you where everything is. We got there pretty early so no trouble with parking. read more

I was walking the other day behind the movie theater and there was a guy peeing outdoors close to the entrance really ? Many people peeing inside the hallways , dog poop all over I though the mall wasn't allowing dogs but only service dogs and I see them even at the food court. I love animals but their humans are responsible for keep the areas clean and the mall is starting to look like snd smell like a trash can poop and toilet . I love this place especially on a Sunday morning when you can visit the local Farmer's market and get great produce from local farmers at reasonable cost. For many years now the restrooms do not have seat covers. Like why? Why is this okay? Especially when people don't know how to use a toilet. There's pee, poop shit everywhere. You want us to sit directly on the toilet right after someone use it? Not okay. We have to clean it before using it. Not sanitary for a public restroom without seat covers. Problem needs to be resolved for sanitary purposes. Kids shouldn't have to use the toilets without covers. It's gross and has been like this for years. Do something please. read more

This is an incredible mall. Sometimes growing up in this area we don't enjoy how good we have it. I've been all over the country and most areas don't have great malls. they have ok malls, bad malls, or no malls at all. I have been visiting Great Mall almost all of my life. It is a 10 minute drive away from where I live, and I go here for a multitude of reasons, namely work, leisure, movies, professional networking, etc. Of all of the Simon Property Group malls I have been to, Great Mall is one of the malls I take issue with the most. The biggest problem is how this particular mall takes away what is so great about being at a mall. You can almost measure the quality of the mall based on how the people there look. I feel like most people go here more to shop than to have a good time, and even shoppers are having it worse here than most other malls because of the small size, the emphasis on interior over exterior, and lack of memorable stores. You will find yourself mentally drained taking a short lap around the mall. There is not much to appreciate about the mall; what I mean is that there is a lack of art, amenities, and foliage that makes other malls more memorable to be in. I can respect the fact that this is an indoors mall, but from the standpoint of someone who wants to have a good time, the indoors setting is inherently a poor design choice because it reminds me that I am shopping in a large building, if that makes sense. Imagine how the mall would end up if there was no roofing--if it was an outside outlets mall--and the effect it would have on people. I guess the only redeeming qualities is that it is generally clean and well-taken care of. The parking may be an issue on the weekends, but I've always managed to find parking perhaps due to the population of Milipitas or the emphasis on offering more parking slots. As malls are generally far from one another, if you have to, this mall is passable for your shopping or other entertainment. Otherwise, I would stick to other nearby malls like Westfield Valley Fair and the Stanford Shopping Center if I want a much better mall experience. . . . I love the variety of shops here. I love that not only can you shop at Marshall's as your one stop shop you can go high end and find some great finds throughout this indoor Outlet Mall from Neiman Marcus Last Call, Off Fifth, Coach, Kate Spade, JCrew, and so many others. The Food Court is nothing spectacular but still gives you somewhat a variety from which to choose from. Before I leave I do make sure to get my Wetzels pretzels or Auntie Annie for the others in my group, pretzel choices, what more can you ask for. read more

Now I want to be clear that I love shopping here- my favorite stores are Daiso Japan, Old Navy, Forever 21, Marshalls and Kohls. I can shop here all day. However I was disappointed about what happened a few days ago when I was there. I was with my sweetie when I noticed a contest being held. I love to enter contests and if a mall has one, I will enter it. So a nice young gal with red hair came toward me from the information booth and encouraged me to sign up for a contest. I got the impression at first that the contest was sponsored by the mall and would be perhaps a gift card of some sort. She was very friendly and nice. Perhaps using a tactic of psychology to lure me. I signed up but after I gave her my phone number, I found out it was for a time share in Las Vegas!!! WTF?!? I still was nice but boy, was that a major aggressive tactic! I dealt with these types before when I was on trips. It really disgusts me! They use a friendliness tactic to lure you in. She was not sincere, she was just doing what she needed to do to get someone to sign up for the contest so she could get commission and was pushing a discounted time share on me. I usually would say "f---k off!" to these aggressive people but she seemed to be nice. I also was deceived as she was at the information booth for the mall! How can the mall allow this?!? Well if a representative from this time share does contact me- prepare to get my wrath. I am used to spammers calling me as I get them just about everyday and time share calls are spam! I am getting use to saying "f---k off!" or even do a piercing scream in the phone so they stop calling me. Believe me, you do not want to hear my scream but it does the trick. I am so fed up with such phone calls!!!! Anyways, I am disappointed in the mall for allowing this! PARKING: Overall I'm a fan of the Great Mall. They have parking 360 degrees around the mall with security posts like lifeguard posts you see at the beach. INSIDE: it's not classy decor like Valley Fair or Santana Row, but it works. FOOD: Food courts, Dave n Busters, Bounce place, Olive Garden, Red Robin, Chinese restaurant, Jollibee, and others I might have missed. Ice cream, Rocky Mountain candy, pretzels, etc. Starbucks. STORES: ones that stand out to me are Forever 21, H&M, outlets like Coach, Neiman Marcus. Sports Authority, BevMo, Kohls. Old Navy. Daiso. Marshall's. Many more stores reasonably priced and kiosks carts in the middle. Massage place too Reflexology. PEOPLE: younger crowd for the most part and kids since they have play areas and children stores. read more

IMHO It's good place to go if you're a mall walker. This place is huge and it's perfect if you need a safe place to walk indoors for exercise. While you power walk, you get to window shop! You'll find lots of brand name outlet stores, a few jewelry stores, a few luggage stores, watch repair, leather goods, shoe stores, athletic wear, etc., etc. You'll also find Marshalls, Kohl's, Bed Bath & Beyond, Burlington Coat Factory, H & M, Uniqlo...and of course a few restaurants. I come here mainly to walk the mall, or to shop for one specific item. Then I go home. It's okay. It's big. Seems safe enough. And clean. They've recently updated their carpets too. read more

It's great going shopping and walking the mall during the weekdays. It's not busy with shoppers and you can browse at your leisure and even get a great walk. It's already getting quite festive with the holidays right around the corner. Santa is already on duty so it's a great time for those holiday photos with the kids. From my understanding dogs are not allowed in the mall especially since it's an enclosed mall. I went into a store and a woman had her dog with her which was obviously not a service dog. What can I say? This is a GREAT mall! The mall has a great collection of stores, restaurants and kiosks. You can find some great deals among some others that are a bit overpriced. Still, the mall is one of the last of its kind in the Bay Area -- a huge open mall with a wide assortment of stores. However, this doesn't mean it's perfect. In fact, there are some glaring issues associated with this mall. PARKING: This mall has the strangest parking arrangement. The lots do not extend very far from the mall complex -- and it feels like there isn't enough parking. It is sometimes extremely difficult to find a parking spot. Tip: Park on the northeast side of the mall if you want to find plenty of open spaces. The garage and west/south side are packed. HEAT: The interior of the mall is just hot. It felt like it was in the 80s inside (and you could only feel better by going inside stores). I think that there is air conditioning in the mall itself. However, there are so many people crowded into this mall that the air conditioning system is either not equipped for the crowds or it is simply not operating optimally. CROWDS: This is a big issue during this current pandemic. I'm vaccinated; however, I felt uncomfortable being in a mall so utterly congested with people. It was so crowded, people actually bumped into you. It was almost impossible to maintain safe social distancing. If you're non-vaccinated, you're just begging for COVID-19 if you go here. read more

It's a huge indoor mall not too far from the city, with majority but not all of the stores are factory or outlet stores. I like going to Adidas and Nike there, always have great deals for running shoes. There are also non-factory stores like H&M and Uniqlo. There are always sales for holiday seasons but of course parking and shopping will be hectic, but the good deals can justify that. read more

This is my go to mall, I'm always here but somehow failed to write a review until now lol. I love coming here because I always manage to find a good deal and some of my fav stores are here such as Levi's, Coach outlet, Michael Kors and more. I can come here on a whim and guaranteed I will walk out the mall having purchased something. It's closer and sometimes better than driving all the way to the actual outlets. The one thing that can be a downside is there no longer is a space to cut through to get to the other side of the mall, now you have to walk all the way around which can get tiring. The mall is always crowded no matter what and during the holidays it is CRAZY!! Their food court is ok, nothing spectacular but they do have a Cinnabon lol. Aside from the food court they have other eateries such as Olive Garden, Red Robin, Dave & Busters as well as a movie theater. A place not for the feint of heart, the Milpitas Great mall is a battlefield where only the truly cunning will find the best deals. In all seriousness though, it does get pretty crowded especially during weekends, but a great place to find awesome deals on your favorite brands! My Favorites Adidas UNIQLO Coach Nike I've been able to find some great deals like micro wallets at Coach for $20, combining Adidas coupons to get shoes/windbreakers for under $30-$40, & UNIQLO has great basics for everyday wear! There's lot of parking which unfortunately isn't enough still, & a farmers market on Sunday! Awesome place to stop by, but fair warning that it's pretty insane here. read more

Nothing much has really change for this mall over the 2 decades I come know of the place. I do find that I come to this mall more than to Valley Fair or other malls in South Bay due to its convenient location (without dealing with the hectic traffic & plenty of parking) just to look around, hang-out, window shopping, food court, Daiso Japan, Dave& Buster, Marshalls, Burlington Coat Factory, theater, Outback Steakhouse, Olive Garden, etc. Mall itself isn't that great nor is it that bad, can't complain for regular hang out spots despite not buying anything much here thru the years. I think if they renovate to make it more inviting and exciting for people, would be a really hot spot due to its convenient location away from the hectic congested traffic areas. Perhaps, make it 2 stories for easier accessibility without people having to walk around in a circle exhausted just to get from one place to next. With that said, when I hear name the Great Mall, I think of a grand and epic place. But, the name don't quite fit it yet because it's not yet even close to grand nor epic. Maybe names like Loop Mall, Circular Mall, etc. would be better suited for it for now. Who knows, maybe one day, Great Mall might be as "great" as its name! read more

The bathrooms that cater to the mall are something else - you wander around for half an hour to find them and then you have to walk down a hall that has an endless, sterile, creepy vibe. It looks to be 1/4 of a mile long. Then you get to the end of it and expect the bathrooms to be right there. Wrong. It bends to the right... another second endless hallway. By this time you are super excited to get to the end of the hallway. For sure you reached the light at the end of the tunnel right? Nope... you will be shocked to get to a third endlessly long hallway. I imagine this is what hell would be like. I recommend you take your business elsewhere. Maybe out in the parking lot. Pick a bush or something. Now for the rest of the mall: Its going through some minor renovations and has nearly every store you may need. From Home Depot to Dave and Busters and everything in between. Better make yourself right with God - now... or look forward to the feeling of having to pee while walking down endless hallways for eternity. read more

Very rude security. I went in through Marshall's with my puppy and was asked to leave when I got to the other end of the mall and had to walk all the way around the parking lot to get back to my car. There were no "no dog signs" clearly posted on the Marshalls entrance or from Marshalls to the mall and about 20 other dogs in the mall. The security guard showed me a temporary sign on a post pointed towards the entrance doors on the other end of the mall. How are people entering through Marshall's supposed to see that? I don't mind the Great Mall wanting to enforce a no dog policy but they should at least have the courtesy to post it on all of the entrance doors. read more

The Great Mall has some funny significance to me. I was where I had my first date with my wife-to-be like forever ago. I remember eating some mediocre Mongolian BBQ beef for lunch at the food court. The mall is indeed huge, and has a movie theater attached which I like. Despite its size, I find parking to be challenging. Its not as bad as San Francisco Premium Outlets (in Pleasanton), but definitely not like Stoneridge Mall (Dublin) where there's plentiful of parking. We took our Gen Z niece and nephew shopping here and managed to buy a bunch of stuff: 1. Two dresses at Niemen Marcus Last Call for 35% off each, and the cashier was kind enough to allow this for both items (silly how the store has a one-item limit) 2. Our niece got jeans at Marshalls with a $100 budget - Get three pairs of lesser-name vs one name-brand and one lesser pair. Wife was the decision executive - obviously you go for three! 3. Saks Off Fifth has much lower-prices, yet decent brands for clothing compared to Saks Fifth Avenue in downtown SF. Things I don't like about the mall (besides parking) is the strange, circular layout which seems awkward in walking since you got folks moving in both directions. Also, there's a really tiny little Starbucks stand in the middle that is crazy busy. read more

This rating is based on the excellent customer service I received at Express from Zee: above and beyond, even for California where everyone is already so friendly. Zee went out of her way without batting an eye. And a shout out to the team at US Polo Assoc. who had the store in tip top shape making it so inviting- they were attentive and helpful. As for the mall itself as of today's date: well I also visited ValleyFair this day, and both were packed. Short lines of people waiting for entry to some of the more popular stores, but plenty of people already inside. Possible to social distance if you keep moving. Most people respecting distance and everyone masked. Overall a pleasant experience that I wouldn't want to last for very long read more

My sister wanted to go to the Great Mall for Ouchii Hawaiian gear and with my new whip, we cruised to Milpitas. It's a big indoor facility and the air conditioner was thankfully full-on. With a lot of name brands, I can see the appeal. Huge discounts, however I had to wonder. My ex-gf worked in retail and I recall once she mentioned that some of the products offered are branded just for outlets. I didn't check online, but it made a bit of sense. How do you stock multiple items of the same thing? When you go to Nordstrom Rack, you mainly find items that are one of a kind and size. I guess I'm visiting the Great Mall again someday. Turned out the Ouchii store closed and will reopen as a kiosk. Of course, being on Hawaiian time, they were not open when we were there. Ah-ya! read more

The dining shops do not have the latest deals, such as Popeyes not having the newest CHICKEN SANDWICH!!! A lot of promotions do not work at the mall either for fast food. Lots of shops, good place to check out outlet stores, but the outlet stores tend to have a small selection like ADIDAS outlet. We came here on a Sunday and I 'm guessing every Sunday they have these vendors that sit in the walkways and they sell toys, action figures and collectibles. There is some renovations going down- they completely got rid of the short cut that was located right at the food court and took you to the other side of the mall at group USA. I'm not too thrilled about having to walk full circle but I'm looking forward to the new stores that will be readily available. Not only does this mall have a good selection of stores to shop from- they have one of the BEST food courts in my eyes. There is something here for everyone. I came here with some friends thinking it would be such a great mall because of the name itself. Gosh was I wrong. For starters there are plenty of stores, but there really isn't a large selection of items. A few stores in there were ones I was surprised to see, such as the Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein store. Those aren't prevalent anymore and now I see why - everything in the store looked so outdated! Especially the jeans and the cardigans. The sales were alright I suppose, but would you believe there isn't ONE single makeup store in the entire "great" mall? So many stores, but things are either outdated or there isn't enough variety. Needless to say I left the store empty handed. One good thing I saw was a Puma store. I need to make a return there. In summary, I wouldn't go out of my way to come to this mall. I went to Great Mall to do Christmas shopping and ended up doing a lot of shopping for myself instead. There were great deals on clothes and it seemed like everything in every store was on sale and not regularly priced. I ended up buying new clothes and shoes from American Eagle, Gap and Banana Republic. I also recommend visiting Ghiradelli here if you're a fan because the prices are lowest I've seen. The mall is one story so everything is giant and really spread out. The hallway to the bathroom is the longest hallway ever. There was plenty of parking and although the mall looked a little dated, I didn't mind because the deals in all the stores were great! read more
