I don't leave many reviews but I am here, which I think says a lot by itself. I had a deep tissue massage here and it was amazing. They incorporate whatever styles you want from their menu in your 30min, 60 min, or 90 min session (I did 60). They want to make sure you get what you need and/or want. She did my whole body and was very encouraging on making sure I communicated my pressure preferences. I like mine with pretty intense pressure so Kathy (extremely skilled) ended up "bed walking" me, which she did ask me if I was ok with trying first, to get started. It felt so great. She told me where I carry my tension and made sure to loosen me up. I went with a friend and they do offer "couples" massages, which you can use with a friend or significant other just make sure to clarify that when you book your appointment so they know which room to set you up in. I strongly recommend Kathy because I had her massage me and can tell you she is very good at what she does but my friend had Kate and said she was very attentive and skillful on her deep tissue massage as well. Their customer service skills are on point and I would recommend this to anyone looking to relax or release some tension. Keep in mind that it seems like everyone there offers their skills so sometimes if they don't answer or respond right away they are probably in the middle of a session. If you just want a one size fits all massage for relaxation or general body aches I'm sure this would be fine, but if you are getting a massage because you are having pain in a specific spot, I cannot recommend this place. I was attracted by the below average prices and promise of tuina, but I wish i hadn't been so cheap. At the end of the day it's really just a spa. The therapist doesn't ask you what muscles are bothering you, nor does she magically find them during the massage. Instead she worked on places that really didn't need help like my hands, crawled on me, and forced my body into some pretty intense stretches without checking in about it. I wish I had gone somewhere where the therapist communicates with you about why you're there and gives you a massage tailored to what you need. Finally this is trivial, but a very small number of songs were on shuffle and I got annoyed hearing the same song three times. read more

I went to Great Lakes Spa for the first time this Sunday! I was having a lot of shoulder and neck pain and they were able to get me in quickly! I had an hour massage and it was amazing! The massage incorporated traditional Thai techniques and Swedish massage techniques. I was asked frequently how I like the pressure (deep) and Kate did an excellent job! I have never had a Thai massage but I loved it and the stretching incorporated. The massage was affordable and they were very welcoming. She went the extra mile to customize my massage. Disappointing. During my 60 minute facial, the "esthetician" got up multiple times to answer the phone, the door etc. the "facial" did not include any meaningful exfoliation or extraction. At one point, she put a gel mask over my entire face (including eyes!?!), told me not to open my eyes and left. So I was lying there in darkness not knowing how much time was passing.
