I found them to be rather rude and impatient. Asked about vegan options, which they claim on here to offer, and got a confusing answer that did not provide meaningful information. Hope they continue to be successful. There are other wonderful bakeries that are happy to provide great customer service as well as vegan options. read more

Love the samples and bread :)) great service (always with a smile) and bread is excellent quality! I love the (seasonal?) apple pie swirl loaf... so good. read more

Great Harvest Bread - Free sample! - Bakeries Near Me - Bellingham, Washington

You can never go wrong with GHB! Although they didn't have seating to sit and enjoy soup and a sandwich made with the days fresh-baked selections like they do in my hometown of Anchorage, AK, the quality was exactly what I've always enjoyed from the brand. I grabbed the Asiago Sourdough bread for my chicken pesto paninis to make at home, and it was fantastic! Also to note: they have samples of all the days freshly-baked offerings. This was always the highlight for my kiddos! Final note: cinnamon chip bread makes an excellent french toast! read more

Great Harvest Bread is yet another Bellingham gem, of the only bakeries I've ever walked into and been offered a warm slice of the bread. I greatly appreciate the spectacular customer service. I'm looking forward to returning in the coming weeks as for the seasonal fall items; I highly recommend!! read more

Walked in, saw that white bread was $9 for a loaf, walked out. I've had some great harvest products, and they're okay. Just okay. But I don't care how good of a bakery you think you are, you aren't $9-for-a-loaf-of-white-bread good. Just say you hate poor people outside on a sign or something so we don't waste our time. Bread is food for the masses. $9 for white bread should be criminal. read more

These people are wonderful and make the best tasting bakery goods ever! They offer samples, which are the largest free samples, I've ever seen. Lots of smiles and helpful employees. We stopped by, while driving through Bellingham and ended up stopping again, while driving back through the area. read more

This is place is sooo good. I stopped in here to grab a baguette, and ended up leaving with an armful of bread. They lured me in with some samples and next thing I was hooked. Since I moved to Bellingham, I have always been loyal to a different bread company, but I recently started trying Great Harvest and baby, I am never going back! During Covid, Great Harvest has created a drive through on the side of their building. When you arrive, you pull up and the daily menu is displayed in the window so you can see all the items they have fresh and ready. When you get to the "window" (sliding door) one of their friendly employees is there to run and get whatever fresh baked goodness you want! I recently got a Jewish friend one of their Challah bread and it was one of the nicest loaves I've ever seen, and she agreed. I went yesterday and picked up some of their Dakota seed loaf, which is made with tons of good seeds, and a loaf of their cinnamon sugar monkey bread and neither disappointed! Oh, also they sometimes give you a fresh slice of bread for free with your order so you can snack on the drive home... like what!! read more

Great Harvest Bread - Smaller Monkey Bread and Larger Dakota Seed. Both amazing! - Bakeries Near Me - Bellingham, Washington

It's always a special treat to come here and pick up some fresh and tasty treats and their amazing cinnamon chip bread. I especially love this time of year when they make the Hoppy Easter bread loaf shaped like a bunny! Who wouldn't want an Easter Bunny shaped loaf of this yumminess?! Tip: Call ahead or stop in to place your order for a cinnamon chip bunny loaf, as they don't make those in advance. I placed my order today and can't wait to pick them up in a few days! read more

Huge disappointment! I paid $11.00 for a loaf of cranberries and walnuts bread. It was so dry and flavorless I threw it away.

Delicious freshly-baked breads, great service, and a free tasting sample with each visit... you can't go wrong. Great Harvest primarily sells bread for slicing, along with a few sweet options, all freshly-baked. There are a variety of grains used. This is one of my go-to spots when in town to visit family. Yummy! read more

I was in town and wanted to pick up some treats for customer. I am so so happy i found this place. When you walked in, they made you welcome and offer some sample. I love scones so i tried the raspberry with cream cheese. I got 2 boxes of varieties for my customer and decided to 2 scones for myself. The bread looks great too! After I finish the first one I knew I had to go back and buy more for later. But by the time I retuned it was sold out!! I hope they keep this flavor because I will be back. Good location and have good parking space. read more

OMG. Such an amazing bakery. I don't usually give out give stars. However, this place deserve it. The baked goods are so delicious. They have a large selection. So far my favorites are Popeye bread and cinnamon apple roll. I am sure I will have more favorite. On top of that, the customer service was courteous, friendly, and professional. Thank you, Great Harvest. read more

Best bread in town!! Every time I purchase my bread from a chain grocery store wishing 2-4 days I have mold growing on it!! Even with a bread box and tight sealing. This bread is amazingly fresh and lasts so long. Plus every time you go in you're greeted with friendly hellos and a fresh slice of something from behind the counter! I only buy my bread here now. 10/10 go!! read more

Bread is amazing and made by the funnest team of bakers around. Just walking in the place, smelling the bread, hearing the music, the interactions between employees and customers is such a break from my day. Let's not underestimate the free samples. read more

Best bread in Bellingham central (Bread Farm is best overall) with excellent customer service and multiple options for gluten free breads, treats and cookies. Try anything as a sample, and check for daily rotations and offerings. They constantly have a delectable monthly special too! Parking is okay, due to a private lot, but make sure to enter and exit the right way on the one way streets! Try the spelt bread- tastes better than most usual breads, much less a gluten free loaf! Omg! Their cinnamon chip bread is my secret ingredient to French toast that about makes grown men cry. Taste it and see what I mean. read more

I was in here the other day with my mom and we were so impressed with how genuinely kind the staff was. We were greeted with a smile and a free slice of bread-- as was every single other person that walked through the door. They were helpful, kind, and the cinnamon rolls we got for Christmas morning were amazing! Super impressed by the customer service and the bread :) read more

Check this place out. They have your typical sandwich loaf of bread in several flavors, but they also have breads with original flavors. They always allow you to sample their breads when you walk in, so you can usually see if you like a bread before you buy it. I really like that they have gluten free breads, and I enjoy their applesauce cinnamon buns they sell individually. The breads are all super tasty and they have a rewards-style card (buy so many loaves, get one free) which is a bonus. They also have a "day old" section that gives you 20% off the items that are there. This place is great, but a little on the pricier side, so I tend to go here for a special loaf, not my sandwich breads that I use frequently. read more

I love this bakery. I don't think I have sampled any of their baked goods that I haven't liked. They offer free samples of their featured breads, buns and other treats. Their staff is very friendly and well versed in their products. If I lived in Bellingham, I would be buying most of my baked goods there! Well done!! read more

Great Harvest has some really delicious breads, and their selection is always changing with the seasons. The baked goods are high quality and fresh and you don't feel guilty eating them. At last! I don't feel guilty eating white bread in front of my mom! It's all been said, but there's nothing quite like walking in to a friendly greeting and a slice of your flavor choice. Great way to try a new one or reunite with an old friend ;) Shout out to the Great White loaf, the Cinnamon crusted loaf, and the Sundried Tomato and Cheese. This is coming from someone who usually doesn't like sundried tomatoes! Won me over on my last visit. Loaves run fairly standard price for artisan breads, compare with any other fresh bakeries and you'll see what I mean. These are not your .99 cheap Walmart breads after all. Give it a try and taste for yourself! read more

The bread at Great Harvest is what I consider the best and healthiest in Bellingham WA. At my doctors recommendation I started eating the Kamut Bread. Going in once a week to get my bread. I do not own a car and have to travel by bus to get to the shop. On Friday 2/7/14 we had a very very light dusting of snow. The store said because of the snow they did not make the bread but would be making it on Saturday. When I called the store on Saturday they said no one should have told me that. It just seems the store does not have enough leadership. read more
