Great experience, we came in for a small job, and ended up making plans to do the small thing, plus our living room, plus our kitchen. Sam was super friendly and helpful-- excellent, personable service on the initial visit. We're looking forward to completing our job-- I'll update when that's done. read more

This company installed carpet in my new home. The seams started coming apart at one door because the pieces didn't connect. they repaired it but then the replacement piece was clearly visible. Later when they had to come back to help with a warranty repair, they ripped the carpet in multiple spots but said nothing. They were asked to come back to fix the rips and they tried to stretch it and left two holes from stretching too much. It was then agreed that they would replace the carpet. Unfortunately the new job is also really bad. Again they did an awful job on the door seam (see pic). They also left holes near edges, you can feel places where it feels like they ripped the carpet pad and didn't replace it, and in a couple spots on the edges they actually put the carpet over stapled pieces from the carpet they were supposed to pull up. I gave two stars because they did try to make an effort to fix the carpet issues but in the end it just wasn't good. don't use if you have the choice. read more

Zero stars. My installation was less than a year old and it's peeling up. Not cheap service and terrible customer service if you question them at all. So many options in the area, so would never choose the place again. Even my builder has sworn off of them for future needs- go elsewhere. read more

Installation was terrible. Seams are very visible and the edges are peeling up after only one year. We paid a lot for the higher quality carpet and it's ruined by the install it also feels like there is a lump under the seams. Overall just disappointed. read more

Larry and I have a rental that needed new bathroom flooring. When we discovered a leak in the floor by the toilet the workers that James Tran sent did a great job fixing the sub flooring and then laid the flooring. We were so happy with the result! Larry and Susan Bartel Ridgefield,Wa. read more

I just moved into a new construction home in Vancouver WA and was disappointed to see that as much as I paid for upgraded tile in my shower, Aho Construction did not offer me the option of adding a shelf on which to place a shampoo bottle or soap dish. Apparently they don't think that someone might need something so basic. Fortunately for me Jeremy at Great Floors sent tile setter Paul and his father to add the shelf. Both of these gentlemen were courteous and professional and were able to add the shelf by using leftover tile from the original shower installation. After making sure that the shelf was being placed exactly where I wanted it, they very quickly had it set in my shower. I highly recommend Great Floors to anyone in need of quality, professional tile work. read more

I was so impressed by the service and selection at Great floors! I replaced the carpet and vinyl in my rental home. From start to finish Bill, Ty and their crew did an amazing job. They educated me on the different quality and durability of each product. They helped me with material, color and design. Their installers were on time, quick and did a quality job! Thank you Great Floors, I'll be back! read more

I can't say how wonderful our house looks. We had terrific staff help put samples together and the installation crew was the best. We looked at two other carpet/flooring stores. Comparing the estimates we chose GreatFloors-Vancouver. Excellent service. Highly recommend and will use in the future for updates. P and C read more

James Tran of Great Floors, Vancouver, WA assisted me in the purchase and installation of carpet and laminate for a condo that I recently purchased in Vancouver, WA. We ran into some problems when the supplier of laminate couldn't deliver product because of supply chain issues. James was able to find another supplier that was able to deliver the laminate. Great Floors did a commendable job of installing the carpet and laminate in my condo and I couldn't be happier. If you are looking for a great company to install your flooring, I recommend Great Floors and I would recommend Mr. James Tran as an Associate that will assist you with care and competence. read more

February 2020 Update: I'm happy to report upon contacting Great Floors (formerly Michael's Flooring) as advised by Joe M.'s Yelp response, my grouting issues have been resolved. The very customer oriented assistant manager at GF, Ben, and the grout guy Robert who did an excellent job re-grouting, came out to my home and fixed my grout in all affected rooms! This was all done at "no charge" confirming shotty work from the initial install. I am not only elated with the response and work I received, I've decided to consider using GF for my upstairs new flooring needs now. If you are on the fence about what flooring solution you should use, I can say without hesitation that the "customer orientation" and the "results orientation" at Great Flooring is superb! I'm very conservative with my reviews and try to be fair and honest on all sides. So when I say superb, it's a big deal. Outstanding work, Great Flooring! Thank you so very much! read more

Great Floor was recommenced by our Realtor. They have a good selection of flooring, in every price range. We were on a tight timeline and James was very helpful with picking out carpet and getting it done before our furniture was delivered. Would defiantly recommended this business and James Tran. read more

We recently had new carpet installed throughout our home, living room, hall and 3 bedrooms. We went to Great Floors and had a terrific experience. The price was very reasonable, they never made any effort to get us to raise our budget, and the job was done very quickly. The 2 installers removed the old carpet with pad and had the new carpet with pad installed within 6 hours. The very nice. We would certainly recommend them. read more

Ok selection, the showroom is kind of crowded and the showroom is hard to navigate on your own. Pricing is listed but no info provided about installation (none posted any way) I came in to look at floors to redo my whole home. The lady who greeted me seemed put out by my asking for help I said I didn't know where to start but knew I needed something pet resistant she pointed me in a direction walked me over told me vinyl would be an option but said she didn't like vinyl, she offered no assistance past that. She walked away and said I'll be over there. We were the only ones in the entire store I felt like I was bothering her by asking for help. If someone comes into a place lost but knowing they're going to be doing a large project you think the company would be eager to close the sale, instead I was ignored and left confused. I walked out 5 minutes later she asked no questions just said have a good day.... frustrating experience to say the least. read more

Wow super performance! Stopped by Michaels looking to reface our fireplace. We were greeted at the door right away and shown some products. My wife and I had done business in the PAST with Cascade but they failed repeatedly to do any follow up. Thank goodness we found Michaels. The had a better looking product. The salesman (Bill McConahy) came over the same week and sent the quote as promised. Now the job is complete and looks great. Bill squeezed us into the schedule with great communication. Thank you for a job well done! read more

We went in just to looking for floors we wanted tile but the cost was to much do to the perp to do it Mike the owner showed us other options and gave us a price that would fit our budget he had Brian the salesman come out to a measurement we said ok we had to wait for the flooring to come out from back east do to the weather it took longer than they thought witch was not there fault Steve the installer was the best he went over and above I highly recommended Michaels flooring for all your flooring needs read more

Great follow-up on a minor issue with our carpeting! Even though it's been two years since purchase, master installer "Ed" took one look, grabbed his tools and had everything adjusted perfectly in a matter of minutes. It's rare to find excellent customer service these days, especially during the busy season. Michael's exceeded expectations and then some. We're very pleased! read more

I highly recommend working with Great Floors. My wife and I recently had many of the rooms of our house refloored, and we worked with Bron at the Vancouver Great Floors to get it done. We chose to replace a variety of floors - carpet, tile, and wood laminate - with a consistent interlocking wood. The job also involved moving some heavy furniture pieces and working with some smaller spaces, like closets and a pantry. Bron and the installers (Alex, Constantine, and team) did a fantastic job with everything. They were accommodating, professional, and highly knowledgable. Though we met with a variety of flooring companies, Bron won our business with a very thorough and detail-oriented first walk-through, asking questions and offering options that hadn't come up with any of our other prospects. I am giving four out of five stars only because there was very minor damage to one big piece of furniture that was moved, and because communication was a little tricky at a couple of points along the way. But, the overall experience was excellent, and we couldn't be happier with the end result. We would definitely use Great Floors again! read more

This company is amazing, especially Steve!!! We just moved here and we're installing hardwood floors and wanted to refresh the kitchen countertops and backsplash of the house we purchased. We had a tight timeline too. Michael's Flooring was recommended to us and they had everything we saw at other shops in terms of product, extremely fair pricing, and were over the top with customer service! Steve was our project manager and there are no problems and no worries with him in charge. For example, I couldn't find the backsplash tile that I was really dreaming of; I described it to him and within just a couple days he had located it and ordered a sample. It's perfect and my kitchen is beautiful. Also, there were no issues or problems with any follow up items. If I wasn't 100% satisfied, someone was right out to resolve it. Everyone that did work on our house was very talented, professional, polite, and cleaned up after themselves. I'd love to find more projects for this company to take on! read more

Had the exact same experience as E and A L this summer only our salesman was Steve. I walked away because if a merchant is rude in taking an order, what can you expect when it is time for installation. Found another vendor and so far, the service has been terrific. read more

I guess I was just one of the "lucky" ones whose experience with Michaels was less than steller. I'm not going to rant so I'll just say I don't believe we were treated 100% fairly when we had to have newly laid carpet replaced because it had factory flaws. The second installation went OK but there was an opportunity for the Michaels to ensure complete customer satisfaction, but instead they decided to make us feel like we were unreasonable. We enjoyed the people, but their professionalism is lacking. We probably won't be back. read more
