UPDATE: We just had our carpet installed. We are so happy with the carpet we chose, and installation quality. The timing from the bid to installation was about a month. The carpet we selected was on backorder, so it took a couple of extra weeks for our carpet to arrive. Justin came out and gave us a bid on our project. We felt it was reasonably priced for such a high quality pet-friendly berber carpet and pad. We accepted the bid the day we received it, and a couple days later paid for the materials as down payment. Once installation was done, we would pay the remaining balance. I'm never comfortable paying for an entire bid upfront. I was happy with the payment terms and felt they were fair. Makayla called to set up the installation appointment once the carpet arrived at the store. I was able to make an appointment the following weekend which worked out great for us. Frankie and his son, Aiden, installed our carpet. They arrived on time at 9am, and completed our project by 5pm. We chose a patterned carpet, so placement was a bit of a challenge. We were so happy with the installation. We absolutely love our new carpet and pad! The new pad is so cushy! I would highly recommend this company. Just had carpet replaced in a couple of bedrooms plus a walk in closet, and I couldn't be more pleased with the product and installation. I chose a light beige, semi-thick shag to provide comfort to bare feet, and it looks and feels great. This is the second time I've used Carpet USA, and received stellar service both times. They were able to work with me on my timeline, and their install team is top notch. It's been five years since the first job they did for me, a large awkwardly shaped room, and the wall-to-wall carpet is still stretched tight with no wrinkles or visible seams. Had issue with wall damage while carpet installed, but 99% sure iit turned out being my fault. Carpet usa called me at home and offered compensation, but I couldn't in good conscience take it. Carpet USA is absolutely, without a doubt, one of the absolute BEST businesses I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Carpet USA is a small, family business that's been in business since the 80s, which speaks volumes. I came here after having an absolutely inexcusable and miserable carpet installation failure from Home Depot's installers, who stood me up, which turned out to be that terrible installer's MO. Not knowing what to expect, and being guarded and apprehensive, I entered Carpet USA, which I've probably driven past a thousand times since I moved to Vancouver. I was immediately welcomed by Belle, and she asked what she could help with in a very friendly and welcoming manner. I told her of my previous experience, and I asked if Carpet USA has their own installers, or if they contract them out. She smiled and assured me that they have their own installers, which was a huge relief. I told her of my previous experience, and she assured me that I would definitely not experience that if I go with Carpet USA. I asked what their turnaround times were, and she explained that they have in-stock carpets, and those can be installed inside of a week (REALLY? A week? YES, really!!!!). She said that any of the carpets that need to be ordered typically take a week or two, and that they can be installed right away when they arrive. She also said that there is no charge for them to come out and measure (Home Depot charged $50), and that they can come out and measure right away. Belle then took me to the wall of in-stock carpets, and the selection of in-stock carpets is HUGE! I was expecting just a few not very good carpets, but there are probably 25 or 30 to choose from, ranging from two builder-grade carpets, to ridiculously heavy, dense, and thick carpets. Another nice touch about the in-stock carpets are that Carpet USA buys the entire rolls of carpets from the carpet mills, and they pass the savings on to the customer. To cut to the chase, I was able to carpet my living room, office, and stairs for a full ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS less than Home Depot charged me for just my living room. This is with Carpet USA's top-of-the line pad, which is TONS better than Home Depot's best offering, and an extremely comparable carpet. Bryden came out to measure my house the very next day after my first visit, and he finished measuring in what seemed like just a few minutes. I made a few return trips to look at different carpets, pick up samples (very large size samples of their in-stock carpets are available), and finalized my choice. I bought on Saturday, and the installation was scheduled for the following Wednesday, with an estimated arrival time of 8:30 to 9:30. That Wednesday, I received a call at 8:30 sharp from the installer, who advised that he'd be at my house in about ten minutes. Sure enough, exactly ten minutes later, he was at my house. After a quick verification that my carpet and pad were what I purchased, he made very quick work of tearing out the old carpet and expertly installing the new carpet (less than 5 hours total). I was particularly impressed with the installer. He was incredibly friendly and polite, and was truly a pleasure to work with. He closed the door behind him every time he left or came back in, except when he was carrying a large roll of carpet, but immediately went and closed the door as soon as he put the carpet down. He also set up a tarp on the driveway before he put the new carpet on top of it to cut the smaller rolls to bring into the house. He also was able to explain exactly why the seam in the previous carpet had buckled up and became so visible (homebuilder's carpet installer didn't install it correctly). He also cleaned up as the installation went on, as well as after the carpet installation was complete. He took the time to vacuum the new carpet to pick up the stray strands, and swept up the driveway to where it was noticeably cleaner after he left than it was when he arrived. The entire experience of having Carpet USA take care of my carpet was just awesome! I seriously cannot adequately articulate how PERFECT every aspect of it was! Everybody I interacted with there (Belle, Bryden, Bjorn, Kyle, and Hilario) was all beyond fantastic! The difference between actually getting carpet from Carpet USA and *trying* to get carpet from Home Depot is a bit like the difference between getting a huge hug from somebody you love more than anybody else in the world that you haven't seen in ten years, and getting smacked right in the face with a house brick. I'm really looking forward to getting the rest of my house's carpet replaced (it's just too tough for me to move everything out of the carpeted areas into the non-carpeted areas to get it all done at one time). If you need any floor coverings at all (carpet, laminate, vinyl, luxury vinyl plank, engineered hardwood, etc.), don't waste your time going anywhere else, just go to Carpet USA and you'll be glad! read more

In this, the time of COVID and quarantine we were expecting problems getting new carpet installed. Especially with our budgetary restrictions. We met with Bjorn and explained our situation and asked how we could fit new living room carpet into our budget. Bjorn was sympathetic to our situation and gave us several options to help. With a time and date planned for installation we did a little prep work ourselves the day before. The installers arrived on time, two Hispanic gentlemen who I regret not getting their names, but they were fantastic! Because I am immune system suppressed I was impressed that they kept their face masks on at all times without my even having to mention it. They worked so quickly and professionally, and the finished product was just amazing. They even vacuumed the carpet before leaving. We were expecting an ordeal getting this done on our terms, but Carpet USA met the challenge and exceeding our expectations. We will in the future use no one else but them. read more

My husband and I went to check it out because we were looking for an area rug. We got an estimate that day. The next day we went back another sales person gave us a quote on the sample we chose that ended up to be more than the first salesperson quoted us because apparently you have to buy the entire square footage. We needed a 7x7 area rug but I was told that I needed to purchase the extra 5x7 piece. There is a cutting fee and a binding fee that ended up costing me 2 times as much as I wanted to spend on an area rug. read more

Carpet USA gave me the easiest carpet replacing experience. I had a month time frame of when needed it installed. I was so discouraged shopping around because nothing I like was not in stock, or backed up with install. Carpet USA had three carpets that I liked in stock. They came and did an estimate and had it installed in a day. The estimate gentleman was easy to ask questions and work with. We had a couple come in and do all the install in a day. AMAZING BUSINESS!! I had purchased and scheduled to have carpet installed from one of the big box stores. I called to confirm my appointment the week prior, only to be told they had lost my order! I had movers scheduled, no furniture and desperately needed to get carpet installed before the movers came! I called over and spoke to Tawny! She was amazing! She listened to what I needed, and said she would try to make this happen! She let me know she would be out the next day but that someone would help me (I had my doubts at this points, as being handed off rarely works out!). I went into their showroom the next day and Tawny had left notes, the girls there were just as helpful and delightful as Tawny! They managed to find me a carpet installer who came first thing in the morning! They got this installed and looking beautiful right in time for the movers! I can't say enough wonderful things about this company! From the customer service, to the carpet itself! I got a better quality than I had originally purchased from the big box store, and even with the extra rushing around it was $50.00 cheaper! I will never again bother with flooring from any other place! We LOVE Carpet USA! We have been so lucky with the deals we have gotten. They always have excellent customer service and impressive selections at incredible prices. Quite a few years ago, we got a steal of a deal on laminate wood flooring that we chose to install ourselves, and the price was well below what we found for the same quality flooring at big box retailers. Our flooring has held up incredibly over time, and we are still very thrilled with our purchase. After visiting the big box retailers, and other local carpet stores, we were blown away by the selection of carpeting available at Carpet USA. Again, the selection of padding and carpeting, along with the incredible pricing put this place above all others when it came to upgrading our home. The installation was such a good deal, we just hired them to do it all! The end result was gorgeous. The installer was incredibly efficient and helped us understand how to best care for our new carpeting and keep it looking as good as it does when he installed it. We got the top of the line padding and almost top of the line carpeting for well below the price we would've paid had we gone elsewhere, and the installation happened within days of our purchase. I am a General contractor and my company is 1 of the top 25 residential remodelers in the Portland/Vancouver area since 1957.I built my own addition and decided to get a quote locally to do our new flooring. They come out and measure and we talk about every little detail to a T. Myself coming from the industry provide a full set of plans for which they can draw and take notes and share with the installers. We get the quote and decide to move forward. The installers show up and don't know where anything goes, they weren't given the details or drawings I provided. I get a call at work from the installers asking what goes where and that they were not provided with enough material. Carpet USA calls and say's (THE DAY OF INSTALL!) we messed up your quote and need 75% of the new total. I ask them to tell me the new total and it is $1000 more than our agreed contract price. Keep in mind I do this for a living. If I did this to a client, I wound have to honor the price and bite the cost. read more

I was under the gun to get my new manufactured home installed in two weeks. Home Depot only had thin carpet in stock plus you had to pay a refundable estimate. Rich was not the most friendly guy in the world. The system is not computerized so after putting over a grand down it took them over two weeks to figure out I still owed them over two grand more. The instal was fine but they are contractors so I'll leave them out of this. It's not great when the people behind the counter talk down about their own business. If you've got time shop around- if the price is right here then stay on top of them. read more

Carpet USA was BEYOND expectations. We had a horrible experience with a big box retailer for carpet on our stairs and hallway. Met Bjorn, explained our circumstances, he came out exactly at the prescribed time the next day to estimate. All options were covered. Set install date for prescribed time, got a call from Carpet USA 30 minutes before time. Installers, Sherri & Ron, arrived exactly on time! WOW! They came and were more than wonderful to deal with.
