So 1 out of every 5 haircuts I get a decent one in Sutton, went there today because there's usually not much of a wait, I get there every time around 9:00am sharp (when they open) today I pulled up at 8:59 and waited until 9:01 and walked up and tried the door (it was locked) the girl inside just looked at me and walked behind the booth divider, so I stood there for 10 minutes in a t shirt (19 degrees) figuring from a warm truck I could walk right in (wrong) tried the door several times as the same girls just looked at me, stayed a few more minutes and ended up having to drive all the way to Shrewsbury where I complained to the manager as well. not sure whos running the Sutton location but someone should get a talking to at least.. every time I get a haircut there that I'm not happy with I either go to Shrewsbury or Oxford, then always give Sutton another try hoping they picked up some experience or new girls being 5 minutes from my door. I think I'll stick with the girls in Shrewsbury are great. read more

I am allergic to hair dye in the air of a salon so I can't go to any salon that does color. I haven't been in a salon since 2009 - my hair stylist came to my house! I recently moved out of state so my hair stylist was no longer an option. I tried finding a new one that would come to my house but was unsuccessful. I was quite nervous about going to Great Clips as I was afraid the stylists wouldn't have much experience. I was wrong. Carly was great. She's been a stylist for 20 years and at Great Clips for 7-8 years because she doesn't like doing color. She listened to me, pointed out a few things, and did exactly as I requested. Truly and honestly one of the worst haircutting places i have ever been to. Ever single time i leave I end up going home sad knowing that my hair is messed up. They cut my hair too short, they don't listen to what i ask, and they completely mess it all up. I came in yesterday after for a trim on the top to even out my hair, my sides are now longer than the top despite me telling her what length to cut it, how my hair flows, and using a refrence photo. She ignored all of these and instead cut my hair way too short and i am contemplating going to another barber to get it fixed. This place is ridiculous and needs to fix their services. I've brought my sons to Great Clips for years thinking it was fine for simple boys'/mens' cuts, while I thought I needed some posh salon. But what ends up happening is I get one, maybe two haircuts a year because I feel like they're crazy money. And when I'm ready for a haircut, I want it NOW. I'm terrible at predicting/booking out months in advance. Today I needed it cut yesterday! Well, my son happened to ask for a haircut today, so I figured, what the heck. I already had a dozen pictures pinned of what I wanted, so I took the plunge. Shannon was great! She looked at my pictures, listened, asked questions, totally got what I wanted and went beyond my expectations. For $16! Use the online check-in option to lessen your wait time. And tip these stylists well. The prices are so low, the employees deserve more than 20%. And sometimes they mail you coupons. $5 for a haircut? Unheard of. read more

This is probably the worst hair salon I've ever been to. I asked for 1/2 inches cut off my hair and she cuts off like 3 inches !!! Also when she said she was finished doing my hair it was completely uneven and I asked her to fix it. Asked for a bang trim and it was messed up. Once I was in my car I realized it was a mess and I went to go tell her she cut way too much off. She then proceeded to tell me that it was my fault because my head was tilted the wrong way and she needed to cut off more to make it even I didn't move my head once she forcefully moved my head. The arrogance of these people is unbelievable. *****NEGATIVE 5 STAR REVIEW***** In order to get a haircut, you MUST submit your personal information so they can create a "cut profile" all for your convenience, have you ever heard of anything so full of BS? Now your local cut rate wash and blow wants to track your haircut habits, where does it end?! It should be illegal to refuse service to a customer unless they submit personal information for a basic service such as a haircut. Personally I did the wise thing and walked away, they make a very poor first impression. read more

I've been to this great clips probably 5 times, and out of those 5 times got 1 decent haircut. The others were terrible, the only reason I would go here is if your trying to go bald because they can't do anything else right. read more

My boyfriend and I hadn't had cuts in too long, way too long! But as neither of us has a regular stylist/barber we were looking for a place to get cuts, quick, as we had our employee Christmas dinner to go to. While you can't make appointments, their "check in" system (online or on the app), is awesome! I checked in and it told me I had an approximate 20 minute wait for both of us, we got there in 15 minutes, went in and confirmed the appointment, and within 2 minutes I was called to get my cut started. 3 minutes later my boyfriend was. My stylist Kayla was great, she was so personable and listened to what I wanted done. Then completed that tough task (because of my picky-ness) beyond even what I imagined. I left her feeling awesome, and my hair looking awesome. This young lady is a gem for Great Clips and for the first time I imagine going back to the same stylist twice in a row and beyond :) 5 stars on customer service, personality, atmosphere.
