She really goes out of her way to make sure you are happy with your cut and style. It's been years since I've come across a stylist that makes you feel like their #1 priority. Bonus points for talking at length with me about the exact cut of my bangs. Most stylists I've been to gloss over this part of the cut leaving me with so-so results. I'm very particular about my bangs and Meagan gets it! As for the salon, itself, it is clean and simple, and the staff is super friendly - particularly Bobby! Highly recommended!

I was nervous because i've had bad experiences with hair cutting places. So, I vowed to only have it cut by my sister(she's a hairdresser) , life changes, she moved away. far away. . I walked back to get shampooed, the older lady really got in there. Lathered my hair and man-handled my scalp a little. I was thinking, "ok, this will be worth it if I get a bad ass haircut." On to the hair-cut. I told her what I wanted and she stuck to it. Didnt cut off more than I wanted. She was cutting so fast, I felt like I was in Edward Scissorhands, "oh MY!" She blow-dried it, went back in a little to "texturize" as she called it. Basically, so it wouldn't feel so thick. All in all, she did a great job. I'll definitely go back. This is my new favorite place. The man-handling was worth it.

She remembers, unlike so many others, to ask what side you parted on if you wear a part. Bang trims, for people who are scheduled into the future, are complimentary. (At so many places you leave with your hair still wet next to your head, on the inside, if your hair is thick, after a blow dry and style, but not with this girl!) Attention to detail! It had a contemporary, modern look and was very clean. I was greeted with a friendly "hello" from everyone in the salon and it was quite welcoming. I specifically asked for Latayvia and she ensured I was at a sink within a few minutes of my arrival. I left the salon with great smelling hair and my curl pattern looked gorgeous. My Experience- I want to preface my experience by saying: whenever you go someplace new for your hair, it's important to discuss what you like and how you like things done. The stylist can't read your mind and has to learn more about you. The person who washed my hair was very gentle. However, I like a vigorous wash, so I asked if she could dig a bit deeper. Latayvia overheard the conversation and decided to help the young lady. After listening to me, she proceeded to wash my hair the way I preferred. I really appreciated that she didn't insist on doing it her way and was open to hearing what I like. Latayvia maintained a cheerful attitude and made me feel relaxed. By "learning" me, I know that when I return, she'll know exactly how I want my hair done. I highly recommend True Elegance!

Latayvia is so sweet and her co-partner Yiasa was very friendly as well. I felt very welcome. My appointment was with Latayvia and she got my hair RIGHT! The wash was great and she was able to shape it to where my hair can grow back evenly. The salon is very clean, chic, and cozy and in s great (safe) location. Overall I had a great experience, and communication was wonderful with them. Would definitely go back again!
