I was in need of a cut and color (blond touch up). I don't get my hair cut often so it was a blank slate! I brought in several pictures, talked about what I wanted with Danielle, the owner, and walked out with a hot mess. I even asked her several times to 'fix it'. She took the SAME area, cut it again but didn't fix my hair at all. You could tell when she was styling my hair that it wasn't what I asked for at all. She just kept saying... 'it's the weather'. Your hair will work for you on a different day. So any day like today I can expect my hair to not work for me?!?!? Thankfully it wasn't an exorbitant amount of money other wise I would've been beyond pissed off!! The color touch up was ehhh! I'll never go back to her! read more

I had engagement pictures on Sunday and I came in on Friday to get a color correction after a horrible hair experience at another salon. I called so many salons and Lucid Salon was able to get me in. Rosy took care of me and she was so sweet and helpful. She helped me choose colors and helped me fix it. Even though the color still has some parts that have a harsh line or demarcation from the previous lady who did my hair, I know she could only do so much with just hair color without lightening my hair again. It looks so much better than it did. I will eventually have it blended better but I need to give it a rest first. Rosy stayed to do my color correction even though she only came in to work on her one client and I'm so thankful for that. Thank you so much for giving me some of my confidence back. Yay for Meagan! After moving to the area, I took a chance on Lucid not knowing who my stylist would be. So glad I got paired with Meagan for my first cut. She really goes out of her way to make sure you are happy with your cut and style. It's been years since I've come across a stylist that makes you feel like their #1 priority. Bonus points for talking at length with me about the exact cut of my bangs. Most stylists I've been to gloss over this part of the cut leaving me with so-so results. I'm very particular about my bangs and Meagan gets it! As for the salon, itself, it is clean and simple, and the staff is super friendly - particularly Bobby! Highly recommended! read more

Bobby is amazing!!! I cannot recommend him strongly enough! I went to him on a hope and a prayer to turn my short shag hair into beautiful for a company party. He made me feel so at ease. I don't usually chat with my hairstylist (note: I haven't had a stylist since 2006) but it just happened so effortlessly and I really enjoyed it! He did some kind of hocus pocus on my head because I didn't recognize that stunning coif on my head. Whose head is that?! Is that me?? YES!!! Everything was phenomenal. The place is so so nice looking and very metropolitan in aesthetics. The prices are a bit high but the quality is so worth it. My daughter had a haircut here a few months ago and was very pleased with the result, so she went back. She was quoted a price on some strands of color, and charged quite a bit more- the cost of all over color. Had she known what the cost would be, she would have opted for all over color. The result was not noticeable and her haircut was not as nice as the first time. read more

Jennifer did an awesome job with my hair! For full highlights it was pretty cheap and affordable but even better is it looked really great. Feels a bit dry but that's not her fault, my hair just tends to be dry (I'm from Phoenix) I'll do a condition treatment at home and it'll be good! This place is a joke. They never answer the phone so is you ever need your hair done don't call this place. The couple of times I've managed to make an appointment the place has been empty, which should have been fair enough warning. Find a better place there are several nearby. read more

My hair was absolutely DESTROYED by one of the women who worked here. Not to mention her rude, standoffish personality. For starters, when I asked for a middle part, she gave me a deep side part. Secondly, when I asked for layers, she feathered my hair. You may think this sounds unreasonable, but I have wavy hair, so if it's not layered it looks flat and dead. I would have been fine with the feathering, if it didn't stop half way through my hair. Also, after she had cut it (WAY longer then I asked for) I told her I wanted it shorter. From that point on, she was even more rude than to start with. For me, what I call a "decent" haircut usually ends taking around an hour. Here, it would've originally taken 10 minutes if I didn't ask for it to be shorter. Overall, an extremely horrible experience and I will not be wasting my hair, time, and money at this place ever again. Neither should you. read more

Came here on a Saturday afternoon and the place wasn't very busy. I liked the location as it was very easy to find. I had my appointment with Danielle and she was super nice. After discussing my color of choice and what I want done she did her magic and it came out perfect. The overall price of my cut and color was just a little over $100 which to me is pretty good as I have spent way more in the past. Called today, as a new customer and asked for an appointment for tomorrow. Stated I was flexible and open to times in the afternoon and if not I could schedule ahead for a couple days. I was asked for my phone number and told I'd get a phone call right back. I waited 45 minutes before calling back and got no answer whatsoever. I just feel it's bad form to not call someone back even when you take their name and number. When my last hair stylist didn't want to do my wedding hair, because the wedding fell on a Sunday, I went to see Bobby a few times prior to the wedding. I loved him then and I love him even more after he did my hair for a boudoir photo shoot and my wedding. My wedding hair was so beautiful and even lasted through a motorcycle ride. I showed 4 pictures to Rosy before we got started showing the hairstyle that I wanted, I had very long hair which seemed there was a lot to work with. Somehow I ended up with a "bob" which is nothing like what I wanted or what the pictures showed. Not only did I not get the haircut/ style that I wanted, but it costed me way more than originally qouted. $40 extra for toner? Shouldn't that come with the highlights that I wanted? I would not come here again, just not happy with what I got and it costed me way more than I thought it would be. I found my new goto place for hair. After browsing through yelp for a salon close to home. I finally decided to try Lucid salon. I was able to get same day hair cut appointment. My hairstylist was Kayla. She was excellent. I have long hair and after washing them in bowl they get tangled into a ball. Kayla was very gentle and efficient. I felt very comfortable with her. She kept a good conversation. My haircut turned out great. I love it. Will definitely be coming back to her for my hair needs! I highly recommend her. read more
