Professional staff, fresh ambiance, great hair I've been going to Matthew for about 2 years now, and I can honestly say I have never been happier with the color, cut, and overall quality of my hair. For years I spent a fortune at salons like Mario Tricoci and boutique salons off of Michigan Ave, and I always left with a haircut that was too trendy, too short, or just generally not what I had communicated to the stylist. I'm so thankful to have Matthew in my life, he has made a world of difference in my look. He is an excellent listener; when I describe what I want my hair to look like, he makes it happen. I had never been here before this past Tuesday morning, but this will be the only place I'll be going from now on. I was in a hurry and got there right as they opened. I was greeted warmly by Tracey, and I asked if they had anything open right then. I let her know that I was in a rush as I was on my way to a funeral and I really wanted to look presentable before getting there. Though she had a client coming soon, Tracey said that she could squeeze me in real quick and instantly ushered me back. She was compassionate and offered condolences and let me vent about the loss I had suffered. She then kept my mind off of it for a bit by telling me stories, making me laugh and keeping me engaged in good conversation the entire time. And before I knew it she was done. And she did a fantastic job. She actually took what I asked her to do to the next level. She's definitely earned me as a loyal customer. I couldn't have been happier or more thankful. Beyond that, the salon is beautiful, quaint, spotless and everyone there was warm, kind and inviting. As far as I'm concerned, this is the only place you should go for all your hair needs. read more

Tracey Shaw has been doing my hair for over 15 years. Tracey was recommended to my by my mother-in-law who, at the time, went to her to get her hair done. But Tracey is not only my stylist, she is my friend. I think my hair knows when it's getting close to that seven week mark because it goes from looking great to looking like a shrub in no time. I would not only recommend Tracey though, all the stylists there are great. Judging by how busy they are, you can tell they're good at their job. They also carry a lot of hair product, such Redken, Pureology and Moroccan Oil (which can be hard to track down). read more

I have been going to Tracey Shaw at Dolce Salon since I was 16 (I am now 32), and despite my move to downtown Chicago, I keep making the trek to the burbs to visit her every 6 weeks. No one in the city was able to keep my hair feeling as soft and shiny as she was; she is a master colorist and always takes time to understand exactly what I need and want in my hair. The salon itself is calm, upscale, and modern. There is a mani/pedi station available, and they have all the products I would need (Moracain, Redkin, etc). Highly reccomend a visit! read more

Nailed it. Each and every time I've dropped by to get work done on my hair, my stylist Krystal, nails it period. I have dark, almost black, hair that I get colored to platinum blonde consistently done by Krystal every time. Its so comforting knowing she gets the job done right. Julie Cleinmark does a fantastic hair cut! I have curly hair which can be tricky to cut, and have had a lot of bad experiences at other salons. My hair looks great every time Julie does it.
