I went to this location two years ago and the lady was so busy talking to the other employees, she cut 6 inches off my hair, when I went in for a trim. I was scared to go back so I went to the Pflugerville location about 3 months ago, and the lady there completely butchered my hair. It was so uneven, I couldn't wear it down for 3 months. I can't really afford to go anywhere else but I needed to get it fixed. So I went back to the Round Rock location and got Casey (hopefully that's the correct spelling) and I told her what happened at my last two visits. She took her time and went around my hair again to make sure it was even. I hope she stays there because she gives Great Clips hope for a quality hair cut and she was very personable. Really good experience! I was helped and cut by AnnMarie who was very helpful and knew exactly what I needed! You can book online or walk in, but if you are busy, booking online is your best bet! I got a haircut and shampoo which was $21 total. Recommended, and will be back in a few months for my next cut! read more

They get the job done. Had never been, called ahead to see if I should make an appt for my kid. They said "no, just walkin!" ...no mention of an app. Got there pretty quickly and a massive wait ensued. They only had 2 stylists and a sea of empty stylists chairs. A stylist had to stop cutting hair constantly to pick up the phone, add ppl to the waitlist and answer questions. I felt really bad for them. The stylist quoted me 30 minutes wait but it took an hour. Nice stylists, did a good job, business model/staffing was poor. read more

My husband needed a haircut while we were out of town in Round Rock. Luckily, we saw this Great Clips near our hotel. The place was really busy, but we didn't have to wait at all for a haircut. Pathetic service. One hair dresser young girl with black hair had a bad bad attitude. I gave her instructions and she didn't seem to understand, so I repeated. She started making faces and then I asked her what's up she started almost shouting at me saying that I am not dumb that you are repeating! YOU SHOULD ALL BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES. Just went in for a wash and blow dry. $25??!!!?? And you didn't even cut! My lady was nice enough, but it was highly irritating that I was faced at the aisle the entire time. Is there not a mirror in each station for a reason??!! Also, my reason for going was that I was running behind; well, 45 minutes later... It takes me 45 minutes from shower to walking out the door, so for the $25 that I spent, and the time that I wasted, naturally, I'm a little mad that I left there and put on a baseball hat because it didn't even look good. I was simply headed to HEB, and I was too embarrassed to grocery shop. Thanks, but, no thanks. Never again. In other news, I watched the hot mess girl who works in the first chair on the left give 2 horrible men's cuts while I was facing the aisle. Maybe, put some closed toe shoes on, and you won't slide all over the place. The woman in the second chair on the left is the real gem of the place. It's convenient to come here because you can check in online and by the time you get there it's usually a low wait. The downside is that the staff is always changing and I would like to always have the same lady but whatever. I guess no haircut place is perfect unless it's locally owned - although those are usually pretty expensive. read more

I had just left a really bad haircut place to find this place, fully staffed, running a sale $7.99 for a haircut, friendly as they could be! Good job! We will be back next time! And I highly recommend checking in online before you come, we didn't and still only waiting 20 min or less, but we could've been in and out a lot faster if we checked in online. read more

Go somewhere else! Horrible customer service and 1 Really Lazy employee works there. I got a decent cut, not the best. It was on August 2, 2014. He didn't follow where I usually part my hair and that left too much bulk at the upper sides of my head where I like it thinned out. He gave me a little push back and a little attitude when I pursued getting it cut a little more as if they way I like it is wrong and it's fine like it is. He did not act like he was trying to please me, but instead, he acted like he just didn't want to cut my hair. Lazy? Prima donna? Maybe both. But he was not initially willing to accommodate me and my request to cut more off the upper sides of my head. What really pissed me off was, when I tried to pay, he would not accept my valid coupon! He smiled and told me I could not use it because he had already rung it up. He said I could use it next time because the coupon never expire. I tried to pursue it with him, just a few times, nothing heavy, but he wouldn't budge. He just kept smiling and repeated his line "I already rang it up. You can use it next time." I let it go and am now writing to customerservice@greatclips.com to report his "to heck with you" attitude. I would not employ this guy with behavior like this and feel he should be FIRED for treating a customer like that! read more

Of course there are a whole lot of Great Clips locations. Fortunately for me, this location is close to work and the folks working there do a consistently good job and they're friendly too. Use the Great Clip mobile app to check the wait time and sign in before you go. It's ultra-easy to use and takes much of the frustration out of the visit by killing a lot of the wait time. I've had many different ladies cut my hair at this location and it has been consistently good. Although I must confess I don't have a whole lot to cut any more. Still, the job is good and I leave satisfied and not searching for a ball cap. read more

I always come here to get my hair cut. My hairs pretty simple just a straight cut, the women who cut my hair didn't listen to anything I asked. I just wanted my ends cut, my hair was about to the end of my boobs. She cut it all the way to my shoulders and added texture to my hair ? I also asked her to trim my curtain bangs and she cut them so choppy it's pretty terrible. I'm pretty frustrated with the whole situation, it took me a while to get my hair as long as it was and she cut it so short. read more

I went to this Great Clips in Round Rock Crossing and there were only 2 hair stylists on duty , both of them were cutting heir and one man waiting, so I thought that the wait was going to be short and I stayed. All of the sudden a family with one adult male and two little boys arrived and since they signed in on line they automatically jumped ahead of the waiting line and both hairstylist helped this family. My point is that the manager of this location has no idea on how to staff the salon in order for all clients to get a reasonable wait time and if a large family makes appointments or they have a lot of appointments, get extra help and if you don't have adequate help advertise "by appointments only" I left without my haircut because, I knew how difficult is cutting hair to a baby and this family had two of them. I'll never go back to this Great Clips location! read more

Went in and asked to get a haircut. Worst place ever. Lady (Kim) who cut my hair did what she wanted and not what I asked. Will never ever go to this place again. All she wanted to do was to get me out of her seat as fast as possible so she could get the next customer/victim. Did not even take off all the hair in my face once she finished. I have been here once before but this past Friday I made a second visit for a haircut and got a haircutter named Annie. The cut itself was ok, it was just a basic mens cut, but the gross thing was that when she shaved one side of my head i noticed all this black hair stuck to my hair which is blond. Very gross, I almost freaked out but she had already started so it was kind of too late. I went home immediately and washed my hair out, I could see alot of little black hairs going down the drain. I will not be going back, its just gross that they cannot make an effort to clean their supplies, I mean, they were not even busy when i got there. The only reason I gave them one star was because I had to give them something.I went here with my father.Jina cut our hair and rang us up together.I used my debit card and wrote on the receipt $26.00 I checked my online banking and it showed $26.00 pending for Great Clips.Today my card got rejected because I didn't have enough money in the account to buy what I needed.I get home and check my online banking.It shows Great Clips got paid $32.00 I got ripped off.I wonder how many other people this has happened to... UPDATE I was contacted by Great Clips.They had the owner of this location contact me.He offered me the $6.00 back and a free haircut.Went with my brother today.Heather had the money for me and was going to note the account for the free haircut since I didn't need one yet.I asked her if I could give it to my brother since he needed a haircut.She did a great job cutting his hair.My brother and me were very happy with what she did for us.She is very nice and does an awesome job cutting hair. read more

One side of my head is a inch longer than the other. I did not notice because I left with wet hair. Not a good cut. I use to enjoy going to this great clips location. Will not be returning. I was informed after my cut I could not completely straighten my hair with a straighter or I would see the straight lines of layers and that I would have to blow dry volume to hid the straight line of layers. It looks horrible! Straight layers?? My experience with layers was they blended, perhaps this is a new technique but sure is ugly. Even blow drying volume does not hid these straight lines. Looks like I cut my hair myself. All I asked was for a half inch trim, no change in styling. Big before and after different, definitely not half a inch, especially because there is a inch difference on each side. I highly discourage this location. read more
