i love this place because i never have to explain what i want done ... it is all recorded each time and i just go in and they look at my "clip notes". great friendly service. read more

I always get a great haircut when I go there. I never have to wait for a long time. I feel like they treat me right

This was the worst experience I have had at a great clips. The lady who cut my hair did not listen to me when I told her I wanted my bangs touching the tops of my eyebrows. She proceeded to keep snipping and asked if I liked the ends longer, I replied "yes". She then snips my ends and left me with the most blunt small bang I've ever had. I do not recommended this great clips location. read more

Have had pretty good haircuts from here in the past. Using the online check in helps too. But a few weeks ago I got my haircut which turned out pretty good. But the lady cut my neck up so bad with the trimmers. My neck was stinging and on fire for hours. This is not okay to come out of a haircut like this. The lady was friendly, but no wonder she didn't show me the back of my haircut like they usually do. I reached out to Great Clips social media immediately. Took them 3 weeks to respond and they only did after I sent another message saying obviously their company doesn't care. They said they'll forward my information to the owner of that franchise to get a hold of me. Not holding my breath on a response, but wanted to make sure people are aware of what can happen here. Definitely doesn't make me want to come back, there are plenty of other places in Puyallup I've had good haircuts from. read more

I came in today had to wait a while because I didn't go online I watched this one little gal cut three men's hair and I loved her style so when my turn came up I asked if she was cut my hair her name is Yulie I showed her a picture of myself and how I'd like it cut and she cut it exactly the way I wanted it, I have to say I think it's one of the best haircuts I've ever had and I want to say I appreciate your service and cutting my hair You are awesome!! read more

In comparison to other locations, for instance, Canyon Road, I prefer this location. The online Checkin is the way to go. This helps from a long wait when you get there. I've been here several times now and with exception to a couple times have had a good experience. read more

I've never had such a bad haircut as I got today from Taylor. I highly recommend never going to this location because of her. It is embarrassing how bad my hair looks. It is very short... it wasn't supposed to be and can't be fixed. The manager did refund my money and tidy up the back of my neck, because she cut it that short. The manager commented how bad the back looked. I had a reference picture of a haircut that I got in May... she was like no problem then gave me the worst haircut of my life that will tale 6 months to grow out. I cannot stress enough how bad this haircut is and how much she has effected my life in a negative way. Hair grows, but not fast enough ro fix this before negatively effecting my life Shame on Taylor and great clips for having her as their employee. A toddler would do a better job. If you go there do NOT get Taylor as your stylist. read more

If I could give 0 star I would. I've been going to this place and I've always had a great haircut, except today. Try avoiding getting a hair from the Mexican lady with a black long hair. All she had to do was follow notes on her but, instead she tried to do it her ways. She thought I was a Mexican kid and tried to do the typical fish cut hairstyle. I always do combover. Nothing was done right. I paid $23 but her cut is only worth $2. read more

I can't remember who cut my hair but my hair cut was even on both sides and cut even depth wise. Tho it's just a buzz cut I'm throughly happy. I Went in on a Sunday in the morning. Wasn't busy but that ain't bad. Very professional and friendly. Even was open to chatting and hold a conversation. read more

Went to get a haircut today, and I had been there previously, and they did a great job. But today, they screwed my hair up to the point I really don't want to go anywhere. They had the notes in the system and everything and I told her exactly what I wanted and it seemed like she decided that I wasn't going to get that, I was just going to get what she did. I'm seriously debating not going back, and if I do, I am definitely not going to let her do it ever again. It was the Asian lady in there who did it. Definitely don't recommend it. read more

I do not think anybody should go here or if you do do not go to the latina lady she was talking the whole time and not focusing and pished my hairline back 1 inch and left parts where there was still long hair and bald spots i am not impressed and never going here. I think she should pursure a different career because she does not have enough attention spand to focus on the hair cut and was talked over when telling her what i want.Hope they can find someone else that can take her place that is better than her because it was a half ass job. I also may say that i said a light trim and she shaved my head to a quarter inch which i think is not okay but the person at the front desk was nice but it was like i wasnt even there and she just did whatever she wanted she also was supposed to cutt the top side half a inch down and now the haircut was pointless because i looke the same because she forgot a whole spot and i didnt even notice till i left. I recommend to go to some place else if need a haircut. She is probably latina and Chinese cuz her ass cant see what the hell she is doing im bald!!!! GO TO K BARBER If you want less bald spots!!! read more

I am growing my hair out, wanted it neatened up, found this place and was very pleased and impressed, Carrie (not sure of spelling) is actually the manager, and not only gave me a great cut for growing out hair, but information, was very personable, professional, and courteous. My first visit won't be my last, I moved recently from another area and am very happy to have found this salon. They clean and disinfect between each customer, follow all guidelines, you can check in online, or get there at opening (already folks in line!) I highly recommend this place! read more

i have been searching for months to find a good stylist willing to listen & actually do what i ask without charging phenomenal prices. have a special event coming up & needed an original look. note to other stylists? if a person tells you they wear their hair to one side... cut it that way! no one wants to look like a mushroom off mario brothers! stop saying, well i am going to cut it even so u can wear different styles! especially on older adults! that may be fine with young adults, who change their minds all the time... but once you get to a certain age, you actually know exactly what you want. so just listen to them! back to this stylist... i will not say her name, cause i don't want to get bumped out of seeing her... but she was amazing! we actually talked in detail about exactly what i was looking for ...& she listened! i no longer feel like an 80's video game waiting on mario to punch or jump on me to get supersized! i feel human again! confident... sexy even! that's right ppl! i got my sexy back! after months of anxiety from cutting all my hair off & feeling like fryer freakin tuck... i feel vibrantly woman again! thank you great clips! ( only this one though, i still wont even walk into the one on 224th) hoping my next cut with you is consistently amazing read more

I went in to get my bangs trimmed because they had gotten long. I waited an hour which I didn't mind, it was my fault for not checking in ahead of time. The stylist Cece was cutting my hair. For context I usually do my bangs at home so I have a pretty good idea of how its supposed to be done. She sprays my hair, combs it in front of my face then cut straight across my forehead, blow drys them for a few seconds (they weren't even completely dry) and send me to the register. I really really don't like going out of my way to leave bad reviews but my God are these bangs atrocious, they are super blunt, uneven, go all the way to my scalp, and are 2 inches above my eyebrows. Not at all what I asked for. My mother was so upset when she saw them the only stopping her from going straight to the salon and chewing out the stylist is her broken foot. read more

I am giving two stars because they were all super nice. With that being said, this is the worst haircut my son has ever gotten, he is 11. It's almost impossible to mess up a faux hawk, yet it's so uneven, patchy, and the front is so bad:( ugh I wanted to like this place, should have listened to the reviews. Why is there no good hair cutting places anymore read more

This joint is just about what you'd expect for a corporate chain - bored, discourteous, and substandard service. Everyone just wishing they were somewhere else, including me. First and last time for me. The local barber has a longer wait time, no fancy online check in, and just one chair... but they're kind polite and looking to give you good service. read more

I will bring my young son here because I honestly don't care if his hair looks a little rough. I don't want to pay real salon prices for a toddler cut when he won't sit still regardless. My husband on the other hand got his hair cut here because we were there with our son and he was in need of a cut. His haircut was so bad that I had to buzz his hair when we got home. He got mad at me because I couldn't stop laughing. I am just thankful it was him and not me. At least he can just buzz a bad cut. Customer service is pleasant always friendly and nice to my son. read more

Came on a Sunday (super bowl sunday) and my best friend and I got our haircuts! Took us four places to find one salon that wasn't booked or too busy. Walked in and was greeted right away. We were put on their list quickly and were seated fast. My stylist was very personable and gave me tips while teaching another person at the end of my time. Very nice. My best friends stylist was great as well gave her a beautiful layered look. Thank you ladies for your time and effort! read more

This place was reasonably priced but I asked for bangs and she gave me long bangs (which was just a miscommunication, which is fine because we could still cut them) I asked for framing pieces of my bangs and she didn't do that, she cut the pieces that were meant to be longer. When she asked if I wanted straight bangs or round I said round and she did straight. My bangs were uneven across my forehead. Overall, my bangs were not what I asked for at all, it was a bad haircut. But, the staff was extremely nice and easy to talk to and the prices were good! I would go there again but definitely not for bangs! read more

They have my last haircut saved and this stylist comes and MURDERS my hair. I asked for a 2 on the side and finger length on top, what I normally get. This guy doesn't even ask me how I like it, just 2 all the way from the bottom to top. I'm watching him, hoping he fixes it and nah. I wasn't satisfied. Had to go buzz all around. Please use more communication when cutting hair. I think what he tried to give me was an undercut or something. ): anyways didn't ask me if I want a discount even though I didn't like my haircut and told him. ... *sigh* read more

The only reason I am giving them two stars is because they cut my mom's anfd two girls hair pretty well. My hair on the other end was a different story. She kept saying to me oh I don't do this type of hair cut, it's to new school to me. She literally shaved a box in the side of my head and trimmed the rest of my hair to be the same length. I will never go back here. If you are looking for a good person to go too, go to meridian Wal-Mart and ask for Kaylee read more

went to the south hill Puyallup location. Which I have been to several times before, without any complaints. however this time I checked in on line, exactly at 10:05am , this was the first day it was open after the shut down due to covid 19, so I understand the place was going to be busy. THAT'S WHY I CHECKED IN RIGHT WHEN THEY OPENED. My wait time was approx. 2.5 hrs. how when I was on line at 10:05am , really that many people got in before me?? anyhow, I got to the salon 20 minutes before my appt. checked in and was told my wait time would be another 1.5 hrs. So I waited in my car, then when I went back to the door 15 min or so before my appt. and was told there were three people in front of me and it would be about 1/2 hr. So I stood outside the door along with several other people, the girl that was checking people in kept coming out and asking me who I was ,or called me by the wrong names, 5 times! Then a man and his 2 kids walks up and they go right in and get seated! Apparently they called him and told him it was his turn. At that time I had been outside the door for 3 hrs. I did finally get in and it took the stylist less than half hr to cut my hair. She was apologetic, (gave some lame excuse, that the system didn't take into account that they had to "clean" the stations after each customer, what is that a NEW policy? I mean I understand about changing to new aprons but really.) at that point it was pretty much to late for me to be a "happy satisfied "customer. I will more than likely try a different location next time for my h/c. LOUSY CUSTOMER SERVICE11 read more

Possibly the worst hair salon to call themselves a business, one trainwreck of a stylist after the other. Dirty store with a cheap feel to everything. I had to wait even though there was only 1 person in the entire store other then I, I was completely disappointed and unsatisfied as a customer I will never return to this location . And there is no way I'd have my children hair cuts done here. I tried to reciprocate my displeasure with the manager Amy and she made me leave the store unhappy and angry. Terrible employment opportunity for anyone. Even worse customer satisfaction. read more

First time going yesterday and did it on a whim. Fantastic hair cut from the sweet old Asian lady. I didn't catch her name but she did a great job. I keep my hair pretty short but opted for scissors all over and it turned out better than expected. I will go back! read more

Usually come here to get the hair cut, ended up with a barber who I haven't seen before in the salon. New or not, there's no excuse to give your customer service a bad experience despite how your day is going or if you hate your job, whatever it may be. I'm usually collected about the most stressful situations but the newer barber left a "neat" line from one size to another instead of a smooth transition. Left ridged cuts along my sides and left the less hairy areas untouched though I asked as a customer to have them cut down fully, and managed to cut a patch in my sideburn. It was just a bad experience, I don't mind if you're having a rough day, please take a breather instead of breakdancing on someone's head with a clipper. I got it cleaned up elsewhere but please let's make sure this doesn't happen again. read more

I have had my hair and my son's hair cut here several times, never a complaint friendly people and they actually listen to how you want your hair. i have very long hair and they always cut it exacty how I ask. I have been here many times no issues a fair job for a fair price. I asked for a trim and stated no layers under any circumstances. This girl layered my hair. She did such a bad job it is so short I fell I cannot attend an event looking like this. She did as she pleased not as I asked. I cried she knew she did wrong and said she would not charge me. I am so angry when I look in the mirror this person should not be in a service Industry. read more

I have been getting my haircut at this location for some time now and this is the 2nd time this has happened-I arrived at this location with 2 people cutting hair(1 being the manager) neither person greeted me when I arrived. I've never been compelled to write a negative review in my entire life but my haircut I received has created a first for me. It's partially my fault as immediately upon seeing a girl with pink hair and an entire side of her head shaved I should have turned around and left the store. Upon being seated she asked if I wanted a trim. I said 'no' and that I was growing my hair out and just wanted the back and sides cleaned up. She then cut my hair exactly how it was cut 12 weeks prior. I mentioned that this was shorter than I wanted and her only response was that it's the same as it was the last time despite less than five minutes earlier discussing precisely what I was looking for. If there's a lesson in all of this it's that you should never let someone who looks like a side show attraction from the circus anywhere near your hair with scissors. Lesson learned. read more
