Yesterday, Sunday, September 7th I went to get my hair lined up at this location, but ended up not getting one. Why? Glad you asked, for one, there were 6 people waiting in front of me and only 3 people cutting hair. I went in to get my son and daughter's hair cuts. My daughter's haircut was done fine. However my son's was a hack job. The hair dresser first gave him a number 1. When he wanted to go shorter she got angry and said this another haircut. She then decided to do a complete shave of the back and side of his head. At the very beginning we had showed her what sort of fade he wanted. She completely disregarded it and went crazy shaving. She was rude and disrespectful. I don't understand why salon owners/workers cant have common courtesy. She also nicked his ear with the clippers. It was bleeding. She did not apologize. I was so upset at the outcome i was crying. I've gone here many times for haircuts and have never had a problem. I always just want two or three inches off of my hair, which is really simple to do. This time, however, even though the lady doing my hair checked with me, she still cut off WAY more than I said she could. She cut off at least 4 inches of hair when I asked for two inches off. When she showed me how much she was taking off, it was the amount I wanted, but by the time she reached the front of my head she'd cut off WAY more. I had bad experiences with Great Clips in the past and hadn't come here in years. However my family recommended I go back to see Daniel. I'm glad they did! Daniel is very friendly and we had a great conversation while he was cutting my hair. I appreciate that he was very thorough and constantly checked to make sure my hair was cut evenly and like the photo I showed him. I've had several experiences where hairdressers cut my hair shorter than I ask, but he cut it to the perfect length. As the manager, Daniel had to take pauses to address some technology and customer issues. He always remained calm and professional, and I can tell he is passionate about his job. Once I came in, the stylist said he was going to take a lunch break and could I come back in 45 minutes. Even though my app check in had said to arrive at that time. I didn't mind. All I can say is: it's a good thing I don't really care about my hair. (I guess that's why I patronized a bargain chain in the first place.) I told the stylist I needed a trim. She repeated, "Yes, just a trim." Within the first minute, I noticed pieces of hair falling away that were 3 inches long. (My hair is shoulder-length.) "Um, you're just taking of the ends, right? A trim?" "Yes, just a trim," she said, as she severed another two inch chunk of hair. It was like bad sex: I closed my eyes, occasionally looked up at the ceiling, and waited for it to be over. I walked out with a hemi-mullet: one side was fine (although kind of '70s feathery) and the other side was, well, a mullet. She had cut 3-4 inches off just the left front side of my head. Now, my hair was ear-length until behind my ear, where it was collar-length and straight. MULLET! What the fuck do I look like, a fucking hipster? Or is my Kentucky really that obvious?? I guess you get what you pay for. From now on, I'll fork it over for my triannual haircut...or maybe go back to Supercuts. I never knew of this place before donate blood to Stanford Blood Center. On the day that I donate blood to Stanford, I received a coupon for a free hair cut service provided by Great Clips. I was excited for the experience, since I needed a hair cut. When I first arrived to the store, the lady asked if I ever been to Great Clips and my answer was no. After my respond, she asked me to sit down then she served other customer who had actually been to the store and reserved a spot via online. I was like, that's find since i didn't made any reservation online, i don't mind waiting for a bit before getting a hair cut. 10 mins later, they called me up again and asked some of my basic information and asked me to take a sit and they will call me shortly after. After another 10 mins of wait, an elderly lady called my name and she asked me to come to her station then asked what kind of hair cut i wanted. I responded, I would want to have a clean cut and look sharp. She then responded, "what is a clean cut? and what hand of tweezers i use?" I responded, "I don't know what kind of tweezers you have and i do not know the length of tweezers either". She then spent so much time asking me about the tweezers and ignore the style that i asked her. Overall, i had a bad hair cut. My bang was messed up (She literally used her scissor and cut a straight line.... i was like wtf???). How bad the hair cut is? I didn't go out for like 2 weeks and when ever i need to head out i feel like i need a hat to cover my head.... My husband and son had been going here for a while, so I figured I'd give it a try. This place is literally the best timesaver ever. We were greeted promptly and nicely, and then Lan soothed the savage beast with a DVD movie. He let her put the cape on and go to town with her scissors and electric razor. We just had a horrible experience here. I took my 11year old daughter in for a one inch trim of her long hair. When the lady finished cutting there were two distinct layers to my daughter's hair. When I pointed this out, the woman rudely said it was because my daughter's head was back(whatever that means).
