Avoid Brittany if possible. I am a regular at various Great Clips locations, so have a slip that prints out with notes for the stylist to help her meet the desires of the client. She read the note, saw the desired finished length that I always request. In addition, I told her the desired finished length before she started, which was 1-3/4 inches, as I wear it spiked on top. She did not know the difference between 1-3/4" and 3/4" and cut it to 3/4" length. In addition, she left it longer behind my ears. It looked absolutly awful, cut so short that it was not stylable. I didn't realize until it was too late how short it was. I will never set foot in that salon again. I have since gone to another salon to try to fix it so it will at least grow out into a nice shape. read more

Brought my 10 yr old in for a haircut. I asked the stylist what a certain number of inches would look like on my daughter's hair- like a guesstimate. She rolled her eyes at me but showed me. When I asked for a shampoo for my daughter, the stylist shot me a look and mumbled "sure." I still tipped her well and the haircut turned out fine. And listen- I get that it's a long day. But it's not necessary or professional to take your frustration out on the customer. We will not be returning. read more

Got my hair cut on Sunday, 5/22/22 by a stylist who didn't introduce her name. I asked for a trim, max 1 inch taken off my ends to get rid of split ends, to trim my side bangs, and trim the ends of my long, slight face framing pieces. I ended up with a very uneven cut across the ends, with very blunt ends, and half of my hair on the top layer is shorter than the underside of my hair. The middle part of the bottom of my hair is shorter than the sides. I have more split ends now, and my side bangs were trimmed unevenly. I did not have layers before. I did not ask for layers, nor would I want blunt cut layers. I'm having to keep my hair in updos to hide how terrible this looks. I think I'll go back to cutting my own hair again. read more

Me and my two sons got a haircut there and get home and I start looking at my sons hair cut and the hairdresser missed cutting half of the top. So I tried calling them and I get an answering machine. I dont mind all the lack of professionalism you get there but I do expect to get a decent haircut and we dont get that here. Today, Andi cut my hair, trimmed my beard, and rinse, for $13.00. Killer Deal!! I've had 5-6 different Ladies cut my hair. Before I sit down, the stylist will review the "notes" about me, how I liked my hair cut, etc. Today, first time seeing Andi, but, she had an idea of what we needed to do before I sat down. Anyway, I've not been disappointed with any hair cut at this location and I've been coming regularly for 7 years. I will also bring one of my daughters here on occasion, allow a stylist to trim their hair, cut dead-ends, etc., minor/mid level cuts. read more

I've gone to this Great Clips for the past 6 months twice a month for hair cuts. I keep my hair short. Generally haven't had a problem and the girls are good. The one thing Im starting to dislike about all great clips tho, esp this one, is that when they cut my hair they want to give me a military cut every time!!! This past time I told the girl keep the sides and the back low as I hate military cut. Well guess what happened? 2 seconds after I said that her first swipe with the clippers went way higher than I like. She said "oops I guess I'll try to work with this." My hair looks ridiculous. She pretty much shaved it all over but this tuft of hair up front. I'm so angry that I will never go to another great clips ever again. read more

First and foremost any place that reaches out to veterans is a place I'll spend my money again and again. This is my second time at this particular location. This time I didn't have a babysitter and brought my daughter along bc we're having daddy daughter day. Now any parent with a 2 yr old would tell you this was a disaster waiting to happen. Nope, the staff were sooooooo wonderful and helpful with my little one. They kept her entertained while I got my dew trimmed. I'm not advocating for everyone to start bringing their kids bc it's not a babysitter center, but they definitely helped. Great Clips Augusta Ranch is fabulous! I decided to give Great Clips a try since they were recommended by my neighbor, and I was not happy with my current salon. I am so happy that I did. The Stylist Bridget, took the time to make sure she understood how I wanted my hair cut and my likes and dislikes. I wear my hair short and I do not like to fuss with it. She did a razor cut to add volume to my hair and give it texture. This is the best cut that I have had in years. The people that cut my son's hair do a great job. So, today, March 17th, 2018, I had a young girl there cut my daughter's hair. I asked for a trim to where my daughter's hair was even. The girl kept cutting. And my daughter's hair wasn't parted down the middle which traditionally you would do when getting a cut. My daughter's hair was parted to the side and I mentioned that to her. The girl asked me,"Oh, you don't part her hair to the side?" I told her no I don't. She cut my daughter's hair with my daughter standing and kept telling me it was even. But it wasn't. I kept telling the lady it wasn't. She then mentioned face-framing. And started cutting without my permission. I told her to stop and to give me someone else to fix her hair. She said,"Oh, ok. That's fine." But then proceeded to say that she can cut more off to even it. I said no and requested, again, someone else. The lady that fixed my daughter's hair revealed how much of a mistake the young girl made of my daughter's hair. My daughter is five. And hasn't had her hair cut. They didn't charge me for my daughter's hair disaster, which was appreciated but I did not get one apology from the young girl who went against everything I asked for. My daughter's hair touched her butt and is now mid back. read more

Theresa is the BEST!! Just had my hair trimmed and re-framed my face and I have to say she just did an amazing job!! She was very personable and easy to chat with, which to some is important! She did my bangs how I had asked and when she was done and asked if I was happy; I let her know of course I was but asked if she could frame the alternate side in a different way. She did this and didn't mind at all that I had asked for something 'out of the box' so-to-speak! In the past at other places I've had rough experiences with asking for one thing and getting another; not here when your with Theresa! Glad I found this place and her for future trims!! read more

Never go to this great clips. They have the worst customer service ever. And they like to call the cops on vulnerable customers with health issues. I struggle to breathe sometimes which is something I deal with and I know my body, and I wasn't able breathe properly medically, and the mask was making it worse. So I took my mask off to take 2 or 3 deep breaths that way I don't feel like light headed or like pass out. And in the meantime of just trying to catch my breath for a second inside while waiting, the lady asked to put my face mask on. I replied and said "ok please give me just a second really quickly" and she continued to argue with me and say that if I need to breath I can go outside, but the heat actually can make my symptoms worse. So... I explained that to the lady, I didn't wasn't to disclose what I struggle with or what was going on cause it's personal. But the lady still continued to say that if I'm not going to wear a face mask than I need to leave. And I looked at her and said "you don't care about customers health do you" and she proceeds to say "if we all wanted our way, we wouldn't be wearing a face mask" and I find that insensitive to someone who genuinely is not breathing well. And they proceeded to call the cops as they continued to argue with me. I was not refusing to put my face mask on. I understand policy, I understand other people's comfortability and vulnerable to society with COVID. I am too. I was trying my hardest to not take my face mask off and to try to take deep breaths with it on. But unfortunately it was making me legitimately hyperventilate and that's why I needed a couple of deep breaths in cold air conditioning for 30 seconds. And the cops were called over me trying to catch my breath as I have a medical condition. I never refused to put it back on. The employees refused to understand or to listen. I was never able to get my hair cut and the police arrived and I walked out with my face mask on. I feel as if this was very unprofessional especially when expressing I have something medically wrong and I needed 30 seconds to redeem myself before I have a medical bill for passing out in the middle of their floor... My sister and niece have been coming to this "salon" for the past few months and recommended I give it a try. The online check in is nice but puts walkins at a distinct disadvantage as they will leave you waiting and take the online customers that walk in ahead of you. I checked in on line and it felt awkward. But not as awkward as the disrespectful, down right rude stylist, Cynthia. If you hear her name...run out the door. I have never been so rudely treated in my life! tafter she insisted that I hit her...uh NO! ....and kept telling me how rude I am....mid haircut I had to insist she put the scissors down and get me a different stylist. Ruth did a great job salvaging the disaster and the haircut was compted, but I will probably never return. read more

I've going here for three years now and aside from a few bad hair cuts have had adequate service. Today, I didn't check-in online and they told me and my son it would be a 10 minute wait. They called my son 20 minutes later. After that they called three other customers to get their hair cut. When they finished with my son nearly 40 minutes after I first arrived, I went up to pay and asked if they forgot about me. They said "no, we just decided to take some online customers ahead of you." When I told them that it wasn't fair to make me wait, three of the hair stylists had a nasty comment to add....like "the other customers had to wait too, they just did it home" and "maybe you should check in online next time," and "there are 100s of Great Clips around, you might want to try going to another." Well, thank you very much...if this is how you treat your long-term customers, then I will take my business elsewhere. I highly recommend you do the same.
