I am beyond unsatisfied with my hair. she cut it while it was wet and I had no idea what it was going to look like. I asked for shoulder length hair with layers. when I got home and looked in the mirror at my now dry hair I burst into tears. she cut about 6 and 1/2 inches off and then cut a straight line across the middle of my hair and called it layers. I can't believe I have to live with my hair looking like this now. I am so upset and don't even know where to start to fix it. When I arrived I was next for a haircut and there was a gal not cutting hair but she was just wandering and finding excuses to not cut my hair and making small talk with the other stylists cutting hair. I have never hated a haircut more in my life. I came in asking for 3-4 inches off and some medium length layers and the length ended up being fine but the layers are super choppy and uneven on the top. It was not blended well. read more

I wish I could give 0 stars. I went in and asked for a trim to clean up some split ends as I have a very formal event to attend tomorrow and wanted my hair to look nice. Nope. Completely uneven cut 3 inches off when I asked for absolutely no more than 1/4 inch. Essentially left with a mullet with a good 1 1/2 difference in the front of my hair. Had to pay another salon to fix it. And you know it was a bad cut because I went in to get a refund since I had to go somewhere else to fix it and showed the girls pictures of what I was left with and they gasped and asked where I got it done. Had to reiterate that Sydney that works at great clips did it just a few hours prior. The girl asked another girl if there was any way to refund since it was obviously a bad cut and the response was no we don't do that. Normally when a hair cut is over you get handed a mirror and asked how you like it. Nope nothing she took the cape off and said there you're done. Very disappointed and will not be back. I went in for a trim. Nothing special, I was just in between colors and needed my ends dusted off. My hair has minor layers and I did not ask for anything special just a trim of the ends. Not only did this lady cut up to two inches off the end when I asked for a "dusting"... my hair is botched. One section in the front is a geometric shape, shorter than the rest of my hair. It was as if she started to give me a lob and then just stopped. The saddest thing about this is that the exact same thing happened to my friend. I get that Great Clips is not a five star salon but how hard is it to cut extremely long hair one length? Working on posting pictures!!! read more

4 stars for consistently good hair cuts, fast service, convenient location, friendly stylists, but a little on the pricey side. I started going to Great Clips because they used to have coupons on the receipts for $7.99 haircuts. The past year this has changed; they no longer include the coupon on the receipt. So now a men's haircut costs me $15. Pretty pricey to me, but they have always done a great job at this location. I always am sure to check in online because that significantly speeds up the process of getting in. They usually have a pretty good number of staff on hand. The longest I have waited is maybe 10 minutes. When checking in online it tells you your estimated wait so you can judge if you still have time to finish something at home. I've been satisfied with my haircuts here, especially having a different person cut it every time I come in. When I mention the little quirks my hair has, they always do a good job at sticking to what I tell them so nothing crazy happens with my hair. The stylists are nice. Some will be quite chatty, others definitely won't carry the conversation if you don't. I also enjoy that this location is right next to Walmart so a quick stop after picking something up or getting groceries. read more

I got my hair cut two months ago. I was doubled charged on my gift card I received for Christmas. They took my name and number and promised to get back with me to get my card reloaded with the correct balance. I have returned two times since then and have been promised the manager had my number. It has been over two months and nothing. maybe I should file a police report since they stole my money. Stay away from the North Logan location. read more

They did a great job on my husbands hair and the stylist knew how to cut my hair like I wanted with out a bunch of guessing.

I went in for a simple cut. Short on the side faded high. I'm not to picky either. Next thing I knew the hair stylist was shaving my head. Claimed she forgot what she was doing. Said she wouldn't charge me. No kidding. Trying to grow it back out now. I don't blame this place since I've had other great cuts for self and family. I'll still go back after I can grow my hair out to find out that stylists name and add it to this post to avoid, if she hasn't been let go yet. read more

I got an expensive haircut earlier this month and ended up with short layers that I dislike. At first, I was a little skeptical about going to a cheaper place but I don't want to spend $$ on my hair again during the same month... Ash listened to my preferences and cut out the layers nicely. Jess was my barber at great clips at the smithfield location. She rushed through my haircut despite having no other clients with appointments and no walk ins. I asked for a fade on the back and sides and she didn't do so. She left me bald around my ears and I didn't notice until I got home and people started pointing it out and laughing. It was too obvious for her not to notice but she decided not to say anything still. an hour later I just went and got it fixed next door at eye candy salon. They were able to make it look better but it is still noticeable. I will be going to eye candy salon from now on as they take their practice more seriously and only charge $10 for a haircut. read more
