We only ever end up at this location if our favorite location (a mile down the road) is running a wait more than an hour. The entire atmosphere is so negative as if they are irritated that you showed up. After this last time, we'll go ahead and wait for the other location. I suggest you do the same! read more

I got Jim as a stylist. He was very frustrated with me, kept telling me "come on Sarah", "come on Sarah I have more clients" and there was only one client waiting in the waiting area. He then put hair gel in his hands and styled my hair, without asking if I wanted my hair gelled. I asked if he could cut my a hair a little bit, he just grabbed the scissors and started cutting. After he grew more frustrated he slid my chair down and took the apron off of me. And said that I needed to take the rest of the day to style my hair and if I didn't like it to come back. As a person and and a person with a disability no one should be treated with this much disrespect and should not be rushed out of the salon chair. I've been coming here for 3 years and every time I have been getting stylists who are down right rude and unwilling to take their time with clients. I had worst experience in great clips in lewis center. The lady who did my hair cut completely removed a patch of my hair and did not let me know about it nor gave me a mirror to check my hair at the end of hair cut. The moment I realized after coming back home gave them a call and explained the manager everything that happened. He did not apologize and instead ask me to check the doctor to see if I had any issue. I was irritated by his response so went directly to the shop to show him how exactly it looks and prove him it happened only during hair cut. Finally he agreed it was their mistake but now this time he was arguing it was natural cause and they did not do it wantedly.I agree it was an accident but did not like the fact they never told me about it in spite of it being clearly visible. I will never go to this shop for hair cut again and wanted to share my experience so that people can be cautious about checking their hair before leaving the salon. read more

Still my go-to location. Great stylists who work hard to do the job right. This location is usually very busy, so checking in online is a must. Even with an hour+ wait time they get me in within 10 minutes of my target time. Not bad considering they never can tell what kind of cut is "checking in" online. Very happy with this GC! read more

I asked the girl cutting it what she was doing as she used no scissors, his hair is uneven and watched on one side, she didn't edge him up anywhere. A complete waste. I don't know what has happened to this place. I've been going here for nearly 2 years and it is definitely going downhill. Wait times are getting longer and they always are short staffed. The last straw for me today was when I checked in online and it said a 37 minute wait. I arrived there 30 minutes later and the wait time on the screen said 38 minutes by my name! I've been a customer for fore than 10 years, but this location is sadly not viable any longer. After online check-in at 4:30, arrived at salon at 4:50, with the door locked. I called salon and was told they closed at 5pm and you must be in the store, even though there is a signage on the door for no more than 8 customers, and only a single chair for waiting. I was told by Jim they would not service me. Other locations near here open until 7, what's the problem? Seems to me to be management. This location needs to close or be placed under new management. read more

Just left a Great Clips in Lewis Center and I have have never been more disappointed. I bring my kids, of mixed ethnicity, to this location to get their hair cut and have never had an issue. As such I decided to let them work on my hair natural African American hair, which I washed and straightened. To be completely honest my hair absorbs moisture very easily. So any amount of humidity and my hair is poofy. So when I walked in my hair may not have appeared straight. However, it was easily manageable. I asked for a trim. You could tell the technician was afraid to even comb my hair. She didnt even reach my scalp, simply comb the surface. I was in the chair long enough to take off my glasses. She didnt part or section my hair to trim it. She simply pulled it all together and cut about a half inch off of the longest strands. That is not a trim. It really hurts my feelings that they dont teach technicians how to properly handle hair of all types. It was the worst $17 I ever spent. The whole situation left me crying I front of my kids once in the car. I wont be going back. read more

I have been to this place for about four times now and my every visit was during rush hours for the business. Everytime i go here there are around 5-7 people waiting. But I never had to wait for more than 10 mins which is minimal waiting time during the rush hour. The folks working here look like they have quite good experience in their work, very fast service and exactly what i need. read more

I have been to this location numerous times and every time I check in the estimated time is never correct. I checked in today online had a 43 minute wait....fair enough. I can do some other things before I go. Unfortunately upon checking in at the store I am told it will be an additional hour on top of the time I have already waited to even go. I've been to this location a few times. For the most part I've got a pretty good job and have been pretty quick and courteous. However I check in online To set up my haircut. They say the way it's going to be about 30 minutes. I wait inside the shop for 20 minutes maybe with one other person is in there waiting to get their haircut. I look at all the stylists And most of them are moving very slowly. They're talking about everything else besides what they're supposed to do and they move around like they don't have a care in the world. Now normally I don't mind waiting for any type of service, but I did have other things to do so I chose not to wait anymore because of what I witnessed. To simply act like nothing is going on and they don't have customers to serve seems disingenuous. I would give a one star but since I've had my haircut before here and liked it I'll keep it a two star. They were all complaining about anything and everything. And it just didn't seem really professional. The girl that greeted me was nice and she seemed to be running around and cleaning for the others but the rest of the staff acted like the only thing that mattered was their complaining and conversations with each other. Being social is great but when it slows down your productivity, it's no longer good. They give good haircuts but be prepared with a snack and a good book. read more

I have NEVER been so disappointed. We put my sons name on the waitlist 6:21. Arrived about 8 min later and checked in. 22 name down on call ahead and was quoted an hour. 7:45 She looked at screen to see who to call back. Not rocket science, only 2 name that were people there, 7:48 son was called back . Melissa seats him and starts to cut his hair. I am already annoyed because she has done more talking than concentrating on cutting my sons hair. Half way through she walks away to assist another associate register. I am Asian and I have been to this store for past four years. I had different kinds of experience but this time it was pretty bad. Probably because the store was pretty much empty. I had checked online and I was hoping to get out of the shop within 15 minutes. There were 5 employees but most of them I had not seen except for the manager. To my surprise, no one else was in the queue and within two minutes one person left. But even though one employee was free she never called me. After 5 minutes another employee who I thought was the manager was free and she never bothered to call me. I was the only customer waiting and they started working on their phone. I waited for another five minutes and left. Probably they did want to cut the hair of an Asian. I am not going there again. read more
