Thank you Tammy (I got your name from my receipt)! I just came home from having this Great Clips location (Sherwin Williams Center) fix both my hair and my boyfriend's. We had a terrible experience at the Great Clips location at Milestone Plaza on Pelham Road. Our hair needed serious damage control: my hair was four inches longer on the right side than the left side, and my boyfriend's hair looked like three haircuts pieced together haphazardly. I was worried that I would lose four more inches of my hair (I had three inches cut already) to fix the lopsidedness. My boyfriend was worried he would have to buzz his head before he could have an actual haircut again. Bad haircuts are the worst. Fixing bad haircuts can be a nightmare. Fortunately for us, this Great Clips location was not intimidated by our sad mood or bad haircuts. Tammy was able to fix my hair--she evened out the sides and cut only one additional inch to make things look normal. My boyfriend's stylist asked him questions about his hair and his preferences for styling. He walked away with a haircut that made him extremely happy. We went in stressed, angry, and worried. We left feeling relieved and pleased. Tammy personalized my haircut. She also sympathized with me without speaking ill of her unknown coworkers at the other Great Clips location. The stylists at this location are welcoming, professional, and reliable! The first Great Clips was a sub-par haircut experience that left me feeling like Great Clips is a salon for the incompetent. THIS Great Clips left me applauding Great Clips for providing personalized service at an affordable price. I have never been a Great Clips fan. I used to use them on a regular basis about 10 years ago but stopped after getting a lot of bad haircuts. I took my 2.5 year old son in there and got an excellent haircut from Meredith. The location is very convenient and the inside is very clean and updated. My son needs a haircut every 6-8 weeks and I just can't afford $20+ haircuts all the time. I even got a coupon for our next visit. We will be asking for Meredith! read more

We did online check in, 2 min wait. Arrived to two people in the chair. A gentleman got finished. The stylist disappears into the back leaving two customers sitting in the lobby area. (She acknowledged us when we walked in) We sat and sat in disbelief at first. Finally we gave up and left. Leaving/Sitting in the car we saw a blonde stylist come & piddle at the computer. I could kick myself for letting people whose skills are capped at a 14 dollar haircut interact with my kids or their hair. The manager hack jobbed my daughter's hair then blamed her for not cooperating--which was a lie. After we returned the next day to have it fixed, after taking time out of our day to allow them the opportunity to make it right...the manager had a conversation with the employee who was supposed to fix it which led to that woman being abrupt and sort of mean with my daughter, scaring her to tears. I don't know what the manager said, but the 2nd stylist responded with, "Don't worry. I wouldn't do that to you, " seconds before greeting my daughter with a pretty mean look on her face and a tone of voice I wouldn't expect someone to use with a 3 year old. ( PS: it doesn't matter if you compliment her dress while giving her a GTH look. Kids pick up on things, lady) I know this is out of character for her because she has cut my kids' hair before and is usually pleasant. My daughter, who is 3, loves hair cuts. She eagerly climbs up into the chair, enjoys being draped and sits mostly still, looking straight ahead...as stylists work. She's typically very brave about it. Because of the 2nd stylist's gruff behavior and abrupt actions with no warning (like the squirt bottle in the face) she was scared to tears and this time, understandably, not compliant the way she HAD BEEN the day before when her hair got butchered by the manager. Both women laughed as my daughter cried. I immediately stepped in and we left because there's no way I'm letting two grown women bully my 3 year old just because one of them can't figure out how to cut hair evenly....on a child sitting perfectly still. And I'm assuming the 2nd stylist needs to be mean to small children to satisfy her manager?? That's sad. Thanks for ruining her hair and her previously great attitude about hair cuts....all because you don't want to improve your skills beyond needing a corpse in the chair to avoid delivering a dumb-and-dumber cut. If it were an option to give no stars I would! DO NOT GO HERE! The lady who was cutting my child's hair was incompetent. I didn't even let her finish. She cut his ear and argued with me that she didn't when it was bleeding! Before that she seemed to be out of it. She kept asking how I wanted his hair cut. I said repeatedly just clean it up. After coming to work and talking about it a co-worker said she took her kid there once and she was not satisfied. She started talking about the women who cut my child's hair and said they seen her there and see seemed drunk. RUN!! read more
