I was very lucky to find Jovi on social media and saw her incredible work. She has a station at Mirror Mirror Hair Studio & SPA. I originally came in for a hair cut and to low key interview her -I needed to make sure she was comfortable working with dark hair. I immediately felt comfortable with her. She maybe young but she is very knowledgeable and right away came with a plan to lighten my hair so I could continue my hair-adventures. Her prices are great, her work is amazing and personally I wouldn't trust my hair with just anyone other than Jovi. My hair despite the bleaching and coloring stays healthy and full which form me is important. The salon itself is located in a strip mall adjacent to the Rivergate Mall. Plenty of parking in the area. They have a great COVID safety plan, yes you do wear a mask but so do the stylist. They are consistently sanitizing and keeping the stations clean. The salon has a variety of stylist and they are keeping up to a modern decor, but do keep in mind it seems the clientele is primary much older (retired). Aside from just interacting with Jovi the majority of the stylist are very kind and talented. I can not recommend Jovi enough if you want to start a hair-adventure. She will help you achieve your hair-goals and work with your budget. I've come out with gorgeous mermaid teal hair, seasonal autumn ombre color to a fabulous ombre blond.

My friend wanted a keratin treatment and essentially left unhappy with the results. Not wanting to cause a scene she paid AND tipped but reached out to discuss the issue with the manager. I asked for babylights through the transition part of my hair, a silver gloss, and a layered haircut. After 4 hours and this putrid color, the stylist hadn't even gotten to the cut yet. I left without the cut or blow-dry/style. Anyone who has ever gone through the process of trying to grow color out of hair knows this isn't just about getting a one time bad color. Even if I was refunded my money, I'd still need the fix for the immediate hair plus 2 years of ongoing maintenance color. This is literally a cost to me of over $1k plus the hours and hours I will have to commit to it again. My hair feels like straw, when it was very healthy going in. Plus, there's just the fact that I'm old. 2 years is significant. I am furious. More so at the management than the stylist. This was her first day...part of the reason for 4 hours.
