The facilities are old, run down, and don't appear to be very clean. But I wanted bangs cut and a simple manicure, so I proceeded. Despite the fact that I had booked my appointment as a hair cut (and was willing to pay for that and not just a bang trim), and had 2-day unwashed hair that had been up in a bun, the stylist did not shampoo me before cutting. So my hair was not laying correctly to be cut evenly. When I got home I washed and dried my hair and my bangs are completely uneven. Given the facility I don't feel confident somebody else could fix them if I went back, either. Regarding the manicure - again the facilties and equipment appear old and unclean. My cuticles were not cut back at all, my nails were not filed or buffed, there was no lotion or massage. It was simply paint, which was done poorly. It is over my cuticles and the ends of the nails were not painted, so as soon as I washed my hands the polish already began to chop and peel. They were very friendly on the phone, answered all my questions and I easily got an appointment. I received a couple reminder texts a week and then a day before my appointment which I appreciate. Parking is good and the building is easy to find. The salon is huge and they offer so many services! More than I expected. I was promptly greeted and Madison came to get me and do my makeup. She asked a few questions and went to work! She was so nice and I'm thrilled with the results. I then saw Meaghan. She looked at a couple inspo pics I brought and had my hair up looking perfect in no time. Both ladies were not only personable but also very professional. They made me feel comfortable and I left extremely happy and most importantly, confident that I'd look nice for my event and not like a bridge troll. I came in to get my brown hair to platinum... The lady who did it had an attitude about what I wanted which made me uncomfortable. I specifically told her I wanted my hair extremely blonde almost white. So throughout the hair process I was just praying the end result will be amazing, but paying $120 for my hair to be platinum, i came out with dirty blonde highlights and i'm not happy at all with it. I had an appointment with Lily and left with yellow, uneven roots, and pretty intense banding especially around my hairline. I then contacted the salon by phone and had no response for 3 phone calls. I live nearby so i drove over. I definitely was upset and had an attitude but even from the start i was just trying to kinda laugh through it and i had a very aggressive worker named i believe John (who is not a colorist) continuously tell me me what my hair needs, as well as say to me "they aren't just gonna give you a refund because you don't like your hair now." and after some choice words on both ends i was told to not come back. I then left obviously, got a text from Jenny to fix it (even though i just wanted a refund) and came in the next day to fix it. Jenny did a much better job, but not a good one. The color i was left with was this pastel yellow roots and banding, as well as uneven from front to back. I do also believe my hair was styled to conceal the banding and unevenness. I texted and called to no response for days. I bought a red ken purple shampoo and conditioner (which i was also later recommended to get a purple shampoo to "fix the fixed hair" and the shampoo definitely didn't take well to the roots, obviously not their fault, but you can visibly see the levels of blonde are different (rest of photos) especially towards and front and sideburns. the salon was closed until tuesday (it's currently thursday) and after calling yesterday 10 times due to no one responding to a single call or text message, as well as the door being locked at 11am when they are open from 10-5 with no explanation. (i believe the number is automated for texts) I finally got a call back today where i was told i could either have them tone it, dye my roots back to my brown color also done by them, or i could essentially just forget about it. I was also told by the owner that I was harassing them, and that a police officer client was there while i was calling (yet they still couldn't answer) and told them it was harassment. So not only essentially threatening me with that, saying they had it all on cameras and body also felt like a threat so now i can't go back in the owner also blurted out she'd refund only my tip and then she hung up on me and refused to answer the phone afterwards. I was beyond willing to work with them, and even gave them a second chance but why would i go back to have them fix it when they've screwed it up 2 times?? BEYONDDDDD unprofessional.

I've heard great things so I was excited for the day of my appointment. The parking lot is small but it has plenty of parking so no need to worry there. Joy greeted me as soon as I walked in. I tried to explain what I wanted my hair to look like, a task that's harder then you would think. She got it and OMG did my hair look amazing. I had been frequenting a (unnamed) salon on Carlisle and although it was supposed to be the best, I was unhappy with my hair (some how I ended up as a blonde when I wanted to be a redhead). So I asked around an a co-worker and she suggested I go visit Exxtreme Trend. Since I was so impressed with her hair I quickly gave Leslie a call. She was able to squeeze me in that day! Awesome! I'm used to having to wait up to two weeks for an appointment. Also, she has nights where she works late (which is awesome if you have a 9-5 job). Leslie listened closely when I tried to explain to her why I wasn't happy with what the last salon had done to my hair and how I thought it could be fixed.
