Leading up to the big day she helped me get my hair healthy. She took the time to explain everything and the "why" behind it. It was a true pleasure working with Annette.

She was always so patient & helpful when trying to decide on the style & honest with how my hair would hold up due to length or heaviness of my hair but always did what I chose to do. She was able to get me in last minute to tone my hair prior to my wedding & allowed me to bring my 2 month old since I didn't have a sitter last minute which was much appreciated. I loved my hair for my wedding day & my bridesmaids hair looked beautiful and styled how they wanted!

I showed him a picture of my previous haircut and said that's what I wanted again. My hair was shoulder length and I told him my hair curls up so it have to be just a little longer than that. The top was in layers so that I could curl it. This man took a razor blade to my hair and all but shaved all my hair off! And when I told him I thought the back felt too short (I can't see without my glasses) he let me put my glasses on look in a mirror. I said it was way too short! He said oh I thought that's how it was in the picture. For some stupid reason I let him finish cutting the top because it was already started. He didn't even worse up there! No he proceeds to tell me he doesn't style hair cuts into a style so that it's low maintenance and doesn't need to be curled! The lady working with him Dottie took one look at my hair and said why did you cut her hair so short. She looked at me and I made a look to show that I was not happy with it. She said you didn't want it that short did you? And I said no! Then she asked why he would cut my hair like that. I went to pay and they don't take credit cards so I had to go over to the max machine and pay the fee to be able to come back and pay for this lousy haircut. You would think they would give me a break or not charged at all considering how horrible it was! I came home and attempted to curl it and it's too short to even sit in my tiniest curling iron. I am devastated! I'm in tears knowing that I am "stuck" with this for a few months! I would avoid this place! Or at very least don't let this guy cut your hair! Am I mention that the entire time he kept saying what a horrible job the previous stylist had done on my hair that it wasn't cut even etc.... I think that's pretty crappy to be down in another person you don't even know and you don't know how it was cut or if my hair just grew back funky.

Review of Yocasta's Hair Salon…read more My experience at Yocasta's Hair Salon has been mixed, and I would recommend proceeding with caution depending on the service you need. The Good If you are looking for a simple blowout, Yocasta herself does an excellent job. She consistently achieves a straight, shiny, and bouncy finish. The Issues * Stylist Consistency: Booking online is unreliable. You will likely be assigned to Shiry 9 out of 10 times, regardless of your request. While she does get hair straight, she uses an excessive amount of direct heat on the scalp, which is quite painful. * Hidden Costs: Be aware that they charge an additional $20-$30 above the advertised price if your hair texture is beyond 3c. * Service Reliability: I once pre-booked an appointment specifically for a color service, only to be told upon arrival that they didn't have the color available despite my request being noted in the booking. The Haircut Experience My recent attempt to get a haircut was a disaster. I showed Yocasta a picture of a straight, blunted bob with light layers, but she barely looked at it. After washing my hair, she proceeded to cut it into an afro-style shape, which was the complete opposite of my request. The resulting layers are very uneven. I've given it a few days, but I still dislike the look; it requires constant hot curling just to appear presentable. I plan to visit a different salon to have this fixed once it grows out. Verdict I would suggest using this salon only for an occasional blowout. I strongly advise against booking them for haircuts or color services.

I had an appointment with Kristianna, who just after meeting her, I knew she would be able to carry out what I wanted. I'm not too picky when it comes to color, but I definitely need a place that uses the best color dyes (e.g. Goldwell). My roots were growing out real bad, and I wanted to refresh my ends with the trendy ombre look. Kristianna is an expert, she's amazing and will tell you the step-by-step procedures, so you understand what colors work best with you. The entire time I was at ease, and Kristianna was so much fun to talk to. And what I loved even more was that she gave me advice on hair products and even recommended me some, but didn't push for a sale. She gave me great maintenance tips, and she's so incredibly nice. Although I am moving away, I don't care how far I will travel, this salon will be my go-to place whenever I'm back in the area. The prices are reasonable, the service is amazing, and I can just go on and on...and I can't stop touching my hair! I am seriously counting down the days until my next visit! I LOVE YOU GUYS!
