I decided it was time to finally go with short hair after having long hair for over 25 years. To say I was a bit apprehensive is an understatement. I couldn't have been more wrong. Dia (Dorothy) had me sit in her chair, she listened to what I had to say, and took into consideration my apprehension of such a drastic change. Without asking, she knew that bangs would make me crazy, so she left them chin length, and it was perfect! I posted my new 'do on FaceBook, and have gotten over 70 compliments so far! I would never in a million years recommend this place for a haircut. My husband went to get a simple fade haircut and got a chop job! Hair stylist Gabby should never be allowed to pick up a scissors. It's beyond me how she got her license. He now has to shave his head. She left tufts of hair stick out all over his head and one side is dramatically different then the other. We had an event to attend and now he looks freakish. She should be fired! They offered a refund. How is that going to do anything. Run as fast as you can and never step foot in there. read more

I was happy to find that within a moment of walking into SmartStyle that I could be seen right away! Often times when I come to locations like this, I have to walk around for 30 minutes while I wait for a spot to open up (I end up buying things I don't need), so this was a bonus for me (and will make my wife happier later)! I had my hair cut today by stylist Ashley, who from the start admitted to having a long day when I sat down. No small talk, though I tried! I told her that I was hoping to trim my hair up, but wanted it longer overall, but to take it up out of my eyes. No bowl cut and no mullet! That said, she took off more than I wanted her to and after shampooing my hair, she didn't really dry it out or offer me a towel. I get having a long day, but I don't think we made eye contact through the whole experience. In my previous visits to this location, I've been pleased with the service overall, but I didn't really feel the stylist heard my needs and I'm hopeful my hair doesn't look dumb when it finally dries out! read more
