This Great Clips location in Gettysburg is our go to location. The last few times the turn over of…read moreemployees is crazy. Today we tried to secure a spot using the app and were unable to do so. There was already a 40 minute wait. There were 3 stylists and the salon was packed. After sitting and waiting forever we noticed some things that led to us walking out without a haircut. There seemed to be only one capable stylist. One kept asking her for help. The other was cutting hair so slowly that we questioned if she was even cutting anything. The person in her chair had thick curly hair. She seemed intimidated and unsure. Other people walked out before us. There were so many kids and they were jumping around. The stylist who seemed to know what she was doing was talking so loud. My anxiety was climbing and we just left. My husband and I both agreed that we didn't trust who was there to cut hair. I've never had this experience before at this location. I hope it's not the new norm!

I called right away and was told I had to reschedule. I rescheduled for 3:50 the same day. I arrived at 3:40. I wasn't seated until 4:20. I was asked if I wanted my hair washed before or after the cut. I said after. I never got it washed and wasn't offered again. Tatum cut my hair and did a good job. She blew dry my hair after the cut. My daughter in law was scheduled after me, which should have been 4:20 but I wasn't seated until 4:20. So she didn't get seated until 5:00. So now it's time to pay and leave. Should have been $40 for both of us. My bill was $67.00 - $20 for daughter in law and $47 for me. Why? Because she blew my hair dry. Are you kidding me? $27 to blow dry hair? Never got out of there until 5:30 and overpaid by $27.00. BTW, while getting my hair cut, another customer called in and said she was running 10 minutes late and was told that was ok. I will never go back again.

BEST SALON EVER! Just don't tell my previous stylists that. ;)…read more Best gem in the area. I had an appointment with Kristianna, who just after meeting her, I knew she would be able to carry out what I wanted. I'm not too picky when it comes to color, but I definitely need a place that uses the best color dyes (e.g. Goldwell). My roots were growing out real bad, and I wanted to refresh my ends with the trendy ombre look. Kristianna is an expert, she's amazing and will tell you the step-by-step procedures, so you understand what colors work best with you. The entire time I was at ease, and Kristianna was so much fun to talk to. And what I loved even more was that she gave me advice on hair products and even recommended me some, but didn't push for a sale. She gave me great maintenance tips, and she's so incredibly nice. Although I am moving away, I don't care how far I will travel, this salon will be my go-to place whenever I'm back in the area. The prices are reasonable, the service is amazing, and I can just go on and on...and I can't stop touching my hair! I am seriously counting down the days until my next visit! I LOVE YOU GUYS! Another tip: Google Maps placed me in the middle of the street, but the salon is actually on the corner of Edgar and Horst.

Unfortunately, I had a pretty negative experience all around. To start off, there was nobody at the…read morereception desk when I arrived, and even though 2 people were standing in a room just off of the desk, nobody acknowledged me for a couple of minutes. The facilities are old, run down, and don't appear to be very clean. But I wanted bangs cut and a simple manicure, so I proceeded. Despite the fact that I had booked my appointment as a hair cut (and was willing to pay for that and not just a bang trim), and had 2-day unwashed hair that had been up in a bun, the stylist did not shampoo me before cutting. So my hair was not laying correctly to be cut evenly. When I got home I washed and dried my hair and my bangs are completely uneven. Given the facility I don't feel confident somebody else could fix them if I went back, either. Regarding the manicure - again the facilties and equipment appear old and unclean. My cuticles were not cut back at all, my nails were not filed or buffed, there was no lotion or massage. It was simply paint, which was done poorly. It is over my cuticles and the ends of the nails were not painted, so as soon as I washed my hands the polish already began to chop and peel. Don't go here if you expect any level of service or quality.
