Got a great haircut today. The ladies were friendly. The wait was at a minimum!! The cut was great. I'll be back for sure!!

We had two people receive haircuts today. One of us had a great stylist and did layers in the hair and was extra careful with her scalp. So much hair came off and it was so needed. The other person in the party had a comb ripped through their hair and one quick clip clip. Ok done. So I am not sure I pay for haircuts at salons when you pay 20 something off dollars, try not to cry while they rip through your hair, and do one straight cut across the bottom and call it a day. It takes five minutes for the torture. This is why some of us just cut it ourselves at home in the mirror. It's less painful and more inexpensive. read more

The prices are reasonable. However, there's an hour long wait on a Thursday afternoon! Kids are in school and this is the perfect and most convenient time to get your hair cut. Or so I thought.... Only two people working at a time the last few times I've been here which explains the outrageous wait times. The last few times I've been in here it's been completely different stylists which leads me to believe the turnover rate is exceptionally high. This was the strangest haircut experience I've ever had. I came in with three clear photos of the style of bangs I wanted. I also asked to thin out my layers and create a V-shape in the back. My stylist barely glanced at my photos, which should have been a sign to get out. I have never had such a rushed haircut. It felt like she wanted to get me out of the chair ASAP because there were two people waiting. She seemed to be blindly cutting as quickly as possible. She parted my hair on the wrong side and acted confused when I told her where I part it (a question every stylist has asked me in the past). Instead of a V-shape, my hair is now bi-level (think mullet) and the layers were cut bluntly and not thin/whispy like I asked. Then she started on the side bangs. I showed her in the pictures and on my face where I wanted them to hit (covering my eyebrow). They're a good half inch above my eyebrows. I asked her to cut a short piece on the opposite side like in the photo. Long story short, I now have straight across full bangs instead of whispy side fringe. It looks awful. She didn't offer to dry and style my hair. When I reminded her that I wanted it thinned out, she quickly cut a few harsh lines with thinning shears and said "I don't think it should be thinned." Before I left she put more conditioner in it and brushed it back to hide the bangs she had destroyed. My hair will be in a pony tail until the mullet grows out. You get what you pay for I suppose. I just wish she had taken time to give half a care about my haircut. read more

While in for a haircut the conversation went very wrong. The stylist repeated some very offensive falsehoods. I understand we are all allowed our opinions, but does Great Clips not have a policy about what is acceptable conversation on the sales floor? The stylist ruined my day! I shouldn't have to pay someone to do this. One of the reasons I go to this shop is the usually lighthearted atmosphere. I should not have to be subjected to someone's political views during any commercial transaction. Any store or shop or restaurant! I seriously doubt I will be returning to this shop let alone the chain. It's not like the haircuts are exceptional, they are not. There is really no consistency, so this was the last straw for me! read more

I have come to this Great Clips a couple times now, and I always leave absolutely thrilled with not only my hair but the service I receive while getting my hair cut! I have had multiple stylist give me a haircut and the whole staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. I would like to shoutout my favorite stylist, Joy, for creating such a warm, inviting, fun, and stress free environment whenever I go for a haircut. She is talkative and engaging if you want to be chatty but she will also respect if you're having a more introverted day. Will be returning for sure!! read more

When are hair stylists going to listen to what the customer wants??!! Had another bad experience at this salon. Although I explained in detail what I wanted, the stylist chose to cut my hair according to what was in the computer!! It took two years to get my hair the way I wanted it after a prior bad hair cut at the same salon. BEWARE!!! Worst hair cut I ever had. Seemed like her first day. I wanted to feel like I'd had a haircut, and it was over in less than 10 minutes. I spent 30 minutes waiting, and if their call ahead system is supposed to streamline things I hope they do some training with the process soon. The staff spent more time confused on the check ins and who was next than they did cutting hair. Bad experience that I would not like to repeat. Stay away unless you just need a 5 minute trim, and you don't really care what it looks like!! I had to get home and get my trimmers out just to fix it enough to go back out the door, it was that far off on both sides. Saw Chemequa. Worst haircut ever. She was done in three minutes (no exaggeration), didn't trim around my ears and completely brutalized my hair. It's cut uneven, and choppy. When I questioned her about one part being longer then other hair in the area, she claimed that I had a cowlick there and the hair was going the opposite direction. I'm 42. I'm familiar with how my hair runs and can assure you I have no cowlicks in that area. Do your self a favor and stay away from this place. You're better off cutting your own hair in the dark after a 6 pack of beer. read more

Won't be going back! You can't seem to get anyone to cut any hair off. They ask how much you tell them and they don't listen. They ask style and you say layers and they want to cut a straight line so everything is even. Ridiculous why do you ask if you are going to cut my hair how you want it! Patrick was my hair stylist today and he was so rude, cocky and clearly was bothered by the fact that I wanted more cut off my hair. He didn't even trim up my layers like I asked. I just will be on the look out for another place to go. It used to be convenient and quick and now it is just a hassle every single time. People don't go here...Unless you are good with them giving you a hair style you didn't pay for then this is the place to go for you. read more

This has to be the most unfriendly salon anywhere. I walked in on Saturday morning to 3 staff members and 1 client, wanting an updo for a wedding. One staff member apologetically told me that there weren't any staff on duty who did updo's but another one said to me that they were "too busy to be doing updo's". I couldn't believe my ears. If that is how they speak to their clients, I'm surprised they have any clients at all. read more

The whole family has officially experienced this location at least once, and we really feel no need to return. My daughter and I were there in March 2014. The haircuts were ok. We weren't there for anything all that complicated. I was quite turned off by the negativity of the staff though. The woman cutting my hair did nothing but gossip about the owner of the shop (and it wasn't good). My Husband went in a few weeks later. He keeps his head shaved and normally does it himself, but due to injury was not able to lift his arm. He was left with the feeling that the stylist had better things to do than take the 5 minutes for such a simple cut. My daughter and I then returned this past week for a second shot. We were checked into the computer and reminded that it had been 16 weeks since our last visit- in tone that implied that we owed them an explanation for our absence. The same gossipy stylist was working and took my daughter's cut. The cut was simple- yet very rushed and rather sloppy. I thought she was quite rude to my daughter in her reminders to keep her head straight, etc. I certainly don't expect the stylist to kiss up to her (or me) for that matter, but the delivery was impolite. My daughter (who is 6) also felt bullied. I realize you get what you pay for- and being a no frills "salon" I certainly don't expect concierge service, but I do expect professionalism. While I haven't sworn off the walk-in haircut, I have sworn off this location. read more

I always bring my two boys here. Always had great service and usually very satisfied.. until today. I've always used my $2.00 off coupon even letting them know it's expired and they have accepted it. Today we went in and Sonya cut my oldest sons hair. She was quiet rude when we asked if she could cut the top sides a bit to even it up. Her comment back to my husband was "well you told me not to touch the top" granted my husband did ask that, but would you want your child to look ridiculous, common sense goes a long way. After she fixed it we checked out and asked for a military discount as we have done before when we haven't had the $2.00 off coupons and never had an issue. She said they aren't in the service (referring to my boys) and the only person who can use that is the one in the service. We have never been told that before, then she makes the snarky comment "this isn't my rule" ok so I look through my wallet and find $2.00 off coupons and hand them to her. She says they are expired and I told her that even she has checked me out before and never had an issue before. She refused them. I didn't really understand why she had to be so rude. I from now on will find a new place to go and if I do have to go back she won't be helping us. read more

My husband came home with a lousy cut from this place! He asked for a trim and got scalped!! She cut his hair dry and then washed it afterward, making the cut very choppy and uneven to boot. Sideburns are pretty easy to match up - to not even be able to do that is pretty sad! For $17 you would expect better! I would definitely save your money and find a better option! read more
