Minisha greeted me when I walked in/ she is always pleasant and is a great hair stylist and has been at this location for years.

So I knew it was risky going with a cheap place to get my haircut but I justified Great Clips because it was $15 for a haircut and not $5 like the super cheap places. Do NOT go here if you don't want to have to pay more to get it fixed later. I showed pictures to the Hispanic lady cutting my hair and explained I wanted a trim (I wasn't really concerned about how much she cut off as long as it wasn't more than a few inches), but I wanted the ends textured so that not all the hair fell at the same place so it wouldn't look really heavy. She literally cut it straight across (or that's what it appeared to be) and then did some face framing, which I didn't ask for but she had already started. I'm really not picky about my hair, so I just let it be. She didn't even attempt to thin out/texturize (?) the ends of my hair until I reminded her after she started taking off the apron. She used the thinning scissors on the last maybe inch of my hair and I didn't see any difference but I figured I should just leave instead of risking more. When I got home and my hair had dried (they don't dry it there), I realized one side is at least over half an inch longer but probably more. When I had my husband take a picture of the back of it, I was disgusted, seriously what happened?? It's not straight, it's the worst haircut I've ever had, including when my mom would cut my hair so she didn't have to pay someone else to do it. Also, she didn't even do my bangs, which I should have noticed but I was keeping track of my toddler and wasn't thinking about it. My toddler had her hair trimmed by another Hispanic lady and it looks ok but she cut the bangs way short (at first they looked mostly fine), I asked if she could cut the two long strands that she had missed and instead she did another round of cutting all of the hair so her bangs are the cliche terribly short bang length that DIY moms are known for. I can't tell about the rest of her hair because it curls when it dries but I won't get my hopes up. Both ladies were very nice, but I will never come back here since I don't care about how nice a person is, I just want a decent cut. read more

Communication is key. Make sure you confirm the hair dresser knows what you want, don't just sit in the chair and assume they know what you want. Also, you get what you pay for, but in my case, exactly what I was looking for. I was a walk-in. Short wait time. Convenient and clean location. Connie helped me during my visit. She was efficient in cleaning/trimming off my damaged ends. She cut my layers and made sure both sides were equal. Happy with my service all around and I will be back, thank you! read more

I've had some mixed experiences at this location. I apologize for not remembering names, but the Indian stylist (Manisha?), who also appears to be the manager has always done a decent job - not great, but no major problems, listens to what you want, and asks before cutting. Besides her, I've also had cuts from a few different others there, and had bad luck with many of them. The last one was an older hispanic woman (again, sorry I don't remember her name). She seemed friendly enough. I showed her a picture of a curly wedge cut I wanted and she said she could do it. I instructed her on the length of my bangs, as they are curly and cannot be measured straight or they'll curl up to my scalp. All I wanted was short in the back tapering down to my chin. Instead, she cut the bangs like I instructed, then proceeded to taper the rest of my hair higher than the length of my bangs - did so without asking before cutting so much, but once it was done, there was nothing I could do. It has taken me about 6-7 months to get it to grow out enough to try to restyle it (thank goodness for summer baseball caps & headbands!). I've had some bad cuts there before, but this one was so contrary to what I asked for, that I considered asking for my money back. Sadly, this experience has influenced my decision to return there ever again. I may return for a touch up with the manager if she's available, but never again with anyone else there, especially for a new cut. read more

I've taken my two young boys here (age 4 and 5) two times now. Manisha and Conexcion (sp?) did their hair. Both times have been great. The cuts were so much better than any cut the boys have gotten at the kids salon I was taking them to and they were much cheaper. The stylists were friendly with my boys. There were no cool "kids" chairs, but there were dum dum suckers for after the cuts and that satisfied my boys just fine. I plan to keep taking the boys there. read more

I wouldn't recommend coming here for anything more complex than a traditional style single-length cut. Don't see Connie if you have curly hair either. I saw Connie and showed her photos of the kind of bangs I wanted and then told her I'm growing the rest of my hair out, so leave the length and just do a little cleanup. She botched the entire thing and i had to do what I could to salvage the little hair she left on my head when I got home. I honestly just want to shave my entire head now but I've been growing out a pixie for so long that I don't want to be back at square 1 again... Gonna be wearing hats for a while. read more

Beware of this salon. Just went in for a trim, came out with my hair just under my ears. I told the woman keep my hair longer than my chin. She kept asking if I wanted a bob, I kept replying no and showing her a photo of myself from a couple months ago, and the cut I wanted. IDIOT! Then she expected payment. NO, I didn't pay. She clearly didn't listen, didn't look at the picture and DIDNT CARE! Think twice before coming to this location. Cheap isn't always worth it. It doesn't get me back four inches of hair back. I was not thrilled. I gave the lady that cut my hair explicit instructions (nothing crazy or demanding) and instead of shaving one side down I stopped her halfway shaving down the other side. And then instilled paid full price for a botched haircut. I will most certainly be looking for another place to go after this experience read more

I've had a few bad experiences here (some were good), but my most recent was the last straw. The stylist that I had was Gilma. I state this so my review does not reflect upon all stylists at this location. Before I go into detail, I'll state the gist of my review - my stylist was unprofessional, did not do what was asked, did not ask before she cut and did not give me the haircut that I wanted. To outline my experience, first she had asked if I was "Brian", the online check-in that was last in line (I was second in line). I told her my name was Tom, and she proceeded to call the first person in line. When it was my turn, she called for Brian again and asked if I was Brian. I sat in the chair and noticed that all combs and clippers had someone else's hair on them. She used them anyhow. I told her that I would like the same thing that was on my printout, which is quite simple (#3 on the sides, square neck, 1/4" off the top, blend sides and top). She proceeded to buzz the sides and did so neatly. Around my ears and my neckline looked well groomed. She then proceeded to cut my sideburns shorter. I did not ask for this. I was not asked if I wanted this. It just happened. Which was a huge bummer because I was growing them out along with my beard. After the first one, I told her not to square them off, as I tend to that later when I groomed my own facial hair. She proceeded to cut the other one to match (which was fine at this point since the damage had been done to the other one), and then squared it off with the clippers, which created a line in my beard/ on one side of my face. This forced me to shave later to avoid looking silly, which is not what I had planned to do. Back to the haircut. Gilma doused my head with water. Tons of it. Water was streaming down my face. She was about to cut off A LOT (had more than 1/4" in her hand to cut) from the top when I said "just the ends, please". She obliged and cut very little off of the top. Then, she was done. My hair was sopping wet, she did not dry it at all, did not comb it after or anything like that. Every other haircut I've ever had ended with the stylist cleaning me off a bit and making sure my hair looked acceptable/was cut properly. Gilma was just done. She took off my apron and started walking to the front to ring me up. Before I got up, I fixed my hair as best I could with my hands and asked her to blend the top to the sides better (as this was not done during the initial cut). She used clippers on my extremely wet hair and frequently knocked my head with the body of the clippers which didn't really hurt, but was something that I've never experienced. She also did a quick couple of snips with the thinning scissors (I think they're called) and she was done. I proceeded to pay for my haircut and then I got out of there. The sides were not blended much at all. I was not pleased with the haircut and I had to fix it myself at home. I understand that I could have asked her to fix it, but I did not trust her with my hair any further than I already have. I've had a bad experience at a Great Clips a few times before, but the majority of my experiences have been fine, so I considered the ~$10 haircut to be a good value. This was the worst of all and I won't be coming back to here or any other budget barber. read more

I really like this place! It's close to home, has great prices, and they do a fantastic job cutting my childrens hair. I took my 9 month old son for his first hair cut today and our stylist was great. She did a wonderful job and was so patient and kind to my son. I also take my five year old daughter for trims and they always do a fantastic job. Her hair is always even and she leaves looking beautiful. We will continue coming back! read more

If you are a woman with short hair - don't go here. I wish I didn't need to write this, but I felt it was right to warn others. When I had long hair - this place was great. All I wanted was the split ends cut off & my face framed, and they always did that for me. However, since I've gone short, I've been here twice, and both times were bad. Two different stylists. The first one made my head look like a square. No big deal; she left enough that I was able to get it fixed by a friend. This time, though - I showed a picture of a pixie cut. Instead, she shaved up the sides, cut the top too short, didn't fade it well: and I look like Moe from the 3 Stooges. I wish I were kidding. Needless to say - nothing like the picture I showed. I've been playing with it for full day, trying to make it look acceptable, but the only thing which will fix it is to let it grow out, and go somewhere else. Thankfully - for short hair, that only takes a few weeks. Still, it shouldn't be an issue when you're paying for a certified professional. read more

I have been going here for 8 years and will NEVER step foot in any one of their locations again. Just got back, and my hair looks terrible. I donated my hair and explained the process before we started. I explained that it would be easier to put in one pony tail and then separate it after (wigs for kids requires four pony tails). The woman told me she didn't understand why the needed four, and put it into four separate pony tails after I suggested not to MULTIPLE times. My hair was supposed to be shoulder length. It's up to my ears, uneven and choppy. When I said something she told me that the one pony tail was higher, and that she could blend it by layering. I told her absolutely not, the damage had been done, and I could not go any shorter because my hair is now at my ears. I want it fixed, but can't go any shorter. I tipped 20% told her to have a good day. She then tells me "next time we will do one pony". To which I replied there won't be a next time. I have to add that I'm super low maintenance, and don't own a blow dryer. All I wanted was ONE length. My hair is super straight, super easy. If you're looking for anything more than a trim, stay away! No good deed goes unpunished. read more
