I have enjoyed this salon location several times before. Not always great, but great for the price. So, I just tried to book a trim and color online. A pop up said nope, not possible. So, I called the salon. The nice woman on the phone said that the stylist I've worked with before is working tomorrow. But she was not able to book me for a trim/color appointment. No reason was given. IT glitch, system error? Huh? What??? I suppose they don't want my business. I will find another salon - there are SO many. Do NOT see Annie at Supercuts on Lincoln in Chicago. I went in for a trim the other day, and she immediately started making negative comments about how my hair looked. I would ask her a question or say something to her, and she would completely ignore it. She was even being nosy and asking questions about the car I arrived in. She was asking rapid-fire questions to try and get personal information, possibly gossip, out of me the whole time I was getting a trim. I'm new to "adulting" and coming to my appointments on my own, and she was super judgmental about the time I said I showed up previously, as I didn't realize it was too close to the time that they closed. She definitely could've been much kinder or, at the very least, offered up advice about when a better time to arrive would be. Finally, the worst part was that I was figuring out how much to tip her, and she pressured me into giving her a bigger tip. This was right after we had a conversation about how I'm her daughter's age and, because of the unemployment rate, I don't currently have a job. Taking advantage of how naive I am, especially as a mother with a daughter my age? Shame on you, Annie! read more

Very upset on how much hair was cut. Victor cut my hair too short as well as my bangs. I showed him a picture of what I wanted and he said he can do it. He didn't pull it off at all. Will never come back here with my kids. Called and booked an appointment before coming. A guy stylists did great and was super efficient with my youngest. A lady did our older son's hair. I gave her direction 3 different times without her listening. She kept getting short with me. I was hoping to give her direction early so she didn't get the end to not let it be what we want. After the third time of saying what we wanted, she threw some of her supplies at her vanity. Along with that, she was yanking my sons head around constantly. I would have walked out if my husband wasn't there to step in for me as I don't think she liked me and was taking it out on a kid. Never will go back and would NOT RECOMMEND going with your kids unless you get the guy stylist. He also did three other haircuts in the time she did our one. read more

A very disappointing review...I have been at this place once before with Sara and was satisfied so I made an appointment for my mom with Sara and even spoke to her personally. When my mom got there, she is 86 years old, in the morning the doors were closed and had to wait 30 minutes for the hairdresser to come in. At that time they said Sara was not coming in and someone else was going to take care of her...that was very stressful for my mom...and the day before they called to change her appointment from 9am to 9:30am...which I agreed. The hairstylist did a terrible cut on my mom and that is why I wanted Sara to cut it since I had her cut my hair. She is friendly and caring, listens to the kind of style hair color and haircuts you would like and if you don't she will help you and offer her opinion. I had a barber shop that was my go-to place for a haircut for quite some time. However, a combination of my moving too far away, and their ever increasing prices, led me to look for a new place to get my hair cut. Enter Supercuts, and Kenny in particular. In a word, Kenny is fantastic. Friendly, cheerful, makes sure your haircut is one you're very happy with, and he always does a great job. He's cut my hair, as well as my son's, many, many times, and I've always been happy with his work. The shop itself is clean and neat, there's usually not much of a wait, and the rest of the staff is warm and friendly, too. Angie is just amazing. She gives the type of haircuts you would expect at a fancy salon. I was so happy to find her to cut my daughters hair. We went to her for over a year before we moved out of the city, into the burbs 2 months ago. My daughters holiday concert was coming up at school. I called to try to make an appointment with Angie for Saturday but she was off. She is worth the hour trip for a haircut. I settled on a Supercuts by me and they butchered my daughters hair. I called Sunday and told Angie what happened. She fit us into her busy schedule. She was able to fix the massacre that was my daughters hair before we got there. She was and is worth the 2 hours in my car. I will never take my daughter anywhere else. Now my daughter looks adorable. I have been coming to this location for over 15 years. There are only a few old timers if you will. It doesn't mean they are old on the contrary good stylists. They do a good job and if for whatever reason you are unhappy or notice something wrong call them I believe you have a week or so to bring it their attention right away. Their prices recently went up which was a bit of a surprise, but if you shop at Jewel look on back of your receipt for a $3.00 saving. Anyway, overall good experience as usual for the kids and my wallet. read more

I take my boys, ranging in ages from 10 to 19, to her and she always does a great job. Two of my boys have bouncy curls and wear their hair long and two get fades. So blessed to have found this gem so close to home! My daughter has super curly hair and wanted a trendy haircut to start senior year. We decided to take our chances with this new shop- and so glad we did! The outside is very deceptive- the inside is gorgeous! Urban loft feel, very spacious and clean. We walked in at 4 on a Friday with no wait. Now here's the best part- Kenny!! It can be so hit or miss finding someone knowledgeable about cutting super curly hair, but Kenny was AMAZING!! Went in there to Supercuts signed in that they were at least four people ahead of us we sat there and sat there and sat there for 40 minutes people were coming in and getting their haircuts right away I was we said just sat there they never called her names they never said please be patient they never did any of that that's really bad customer service they didn't even say anything they just kept kept taking people coming in but we just sat there I'm not even giving them a star i've never had this problem before there I know they were busy and they were down a person but if they couldn't because they should've said so right away my friend and I just got up and walked away read more

Went in today JUNE 14, 2O18 for a trim and color. My trimming came out good but when I asked for RED color the guy shows me a dark violet... so when he finally shows me the actual red color I want from the book, we start to color my hair... wired thing is... I've never been to a place where they only color LITERALLY your head and not the rest of your hair? so in the end my hair didn't turn out the way I wanted and the back of my head is a dark black/brown mix color.... I will be going back to see what this stylist can do to fix my hair but other than that I'm super upset. $80 for some half ass color? Wtf is that. Update. I went back the next day asking for a refund and the assistant manager was super hesitant telling me I needed to come back around 11am or 12noon because the stylist who did my hair starts his shift @ that time and how she didn't know how to work the small machine to give me my refund back on my card. Then she tells me she can't give me any cash because there's no cash in the register... I didn't leave... I stood in my car for 20min. I went back in asking if she could just call the guy then because I want the issue resolved and starts giving me an attitude repeating herself telling me to come back so I bitched her out and told her this is ridiculous! "Your an assistant manager, you should know how to give refunds... they train you for that" so FINALLY I get the refund , and typed in my card info manually BUT it's been 2 days and I haven't received anything yet so not only will I continue to file a complaint to the better Bureau, but I will also be returning to them about my money!!!!! read more

WOW, What an amazing experience I had. After going to Hair Cuttery for many years across the street on peterson (next to Potbelly) I decided to come here when Hair cuttery had made an appointment with me the same morning and then when I had arrived, refused to take my daughter in as a customer and told us to come back after 4 hrs (even with the appointment). So this Supercuts had recently reopened after the fire and I never had tried it out. I came straight here since it was closeby and I asked if they would attend to my daughter since she chopped her hair off that morning. They immediately told me we could come in, and started on my daughter. We had DEE as out stylist.I explained to them that my daughter got a hold of scissors and chopped her bangs off completely. My daughter is on the spectrum, so they needed to be extra patient with her and i'm always scared they won't be able to handle her. Well they were so warm and nice! Dee got her comfortable right away and kept telling her how cute she was which made her smile the ENTIRE TIME! They even gave me many options on what I could do with her hair and how we could hide the scalp that was showing in the front where her bangs used to be. I was a mess, crying going into this place after what Hair cuttery put me through that morning, and we walked out of here with Smiles and a good feeling inside. Don't bring your kids here. I brought my school aged kids to this location since the Foster and Pulaski location is no more. The stylist nicked my son's ear with the clippers. She didn't even alert me when it happened, it was only until I noticed through blood she apologized. I was distracted from the minor incident that I didn't notice until I got home how awful his cut was. This started out to be a one star review because when I went in for a haircut on 12/19/2016, I received a terrible haircut from a stylist whose name I believe is Amanda. When I got home I realized the cut was uneven on both sides and the hair was actually sticking up on one side! I went back that evening and fortunately the young man (sorry, I didn't get his name) was able to take me and make everything right! I've been a regular customer for many years and I love Gloria and Sara so thanks to this young man, I'll be back again. Recently, I went to this Supercuts. It was the middle of the week and quiet when I came in to get a simple haircut. The person at the front only had one person in front of me and was working on them. Meanwhile a couple of women who should have been working on hair were busy chatting away and doing NOTHING!! I waited and waited to get my hair cut and 15 minutes later still waiting! The one person who was cutting hair finished and took another customer after I had come in and those two women were still talking as though no one came in. I don't know why they get such great reviews, but no one came to wait on me, cut my hair or say anything. I finally left and went to a competitor who took me right away and cut my hair beautifully. I will NEVER EVER go to this Supercuts again. They are horrible. read more
