I don't EVER leave reviews. So the fact that I am says a ton. I have a lot of hair and sometimes on bad days, I go get it washed. This is something I've been doing for years. I get it washed, it gets brushed, I pay and then I part ways. But not today. 6-27-2025 between 4:20-4:43pm, the stylist washed my hair yes, but while doing so was yanking at my hair/head. It literally felt like I was being manhandled. She then twisted my hair into a towel to ring it out and tightened that so hard it made my already terrible migraine worse. She did not brush out my hair...which again I've been doing this for years and EVERY-TIME my hair has been brushed out after, instead she tired my hair up without a hair tie because I did not have one and even declined one she offered because I prefer my hair down when it's wet. Because again... I have a lot of it. I paid and left. Got in my car and took the contraption she made with my hair down. And it was a complete rats nest. I've been home about an hour now and my partner is l still trying to help me brush this out. This is totally unacceptable and I will never be coming back to this location. I just moved to the area and will be driving 45 minutes to the location I used to go to from now on. I rate my first time experience in this location a 10. I finally waited as long as I could to go in for a haircut and was greeted by Tess, who also cut my hair. I explained what and how I wanted my hair and she did exactly what I had requested. Tess and the rest of the staff were very friendly and the vibe was great. My sister made an appointment a hour before we arrived! Confirmed the appointment by calling and going online as instructed! When we arrived we were told that we had to wait an additional hour because we only got an hour before their system reset! This wasn't told while on the phone as well as that they didn't do African American hair! She said blow drying was considered styling the hair but the sign for wash said washing and drying! My son was starting school Monday and I had totally forgotten he needed a haircut since I love his shaggy hair. It was Sunday morning and I wake up in a panic. I normally would have made an appointment but this had been one of our busiest activities filled summer vacations yet. So I get on Yelp for the closest hair place. At this point I'm just looking for anything opened on a Sunday morning. My hair stylist is so awesome, however, they book out at least 3 weeks in advance. Plus I think they are closed on Sundays. That's funny. With my thousand of hair appointments I've had over the past 20 years I've never had to think about a Sunday hair appointment. Probably because they are always closed. Back to my dilemma. So I find this location and looks like they have mixed reviews. I know the turn around sometimes has a lot to do with the ratings at franchise like this ones. I get there early and there are people already waiting in their cars plus a couple waiting in line at the door for them to open. So we join the line and 5 minutes before 10am the nice store owner let everyone in. I thought it was great, since it's still summer out and it helps them to start getting clients on the list. We are second in line. We give our name and have a seat while the rest of the line gets checked in. I found out you can also check in from home so that you don't have to wait in line but the location wasn't open yet. A few minutes later we get called back and Melissa takes care of my son. She asked plenty of questions as well as her suggestions. She had great conversation with him to keep him from moving around too much. Since he is only 10 and always has a thousand things to say it really went well. Overall, if I can schedule with Melissa again, I will certainly book my sons appointment with her. I went in today, didn't have to wait very long for my name to be called, which was great. But the lady I had at first was super nice. I had never been somewhere when they cut your hair dry. I didn't know if I had to request or not, so that's probably my fault. Anyways she cut my hair dry, then complained about me putting my $10 glasses on so that I can see because I had asked her for a short/blunt straight cut to my shoulders after having long hair. She continued to make a big deal of it which was irritating, saying that she couldn't afford to replace my glasses if they broke. I continued to tell her it's not that big of a deal I just needed to see what was going on. After she was done, which was about 7 minutes after it seemed, she asked me if it was okay, I said yes just because I knew I needed to leave and go home to fix it. I then went home and tried to fix it, one side was significantly longer than the other. She definitely should have taken more time making sure everything was straight. I just didn't want to make a scene at the place, I quietly just left and that was it. I didn't even get her name but she had two choker necklaces on and was in the first chair on the left. The business is open whenever they feel like working. The days of the week/weekend are speckled as well. Example; Saturday hours are until 4pm Sunday hours are until 6pm (makes little sense) When I inquired I became known as "ma'am ma'am ma'am" (which believe me was not in respect but more so condescendingly) I became the bothersome customer. And they turned viper- snake. The acting salon mgr. was less than helpful and believe it or not disconnected the call from me several times. x x x x's Why!!? One may ask?! Well, that's because I wanted to collect pertinent info. to carry this unsavory tale up the chain of authority that's why... However little these women working at the salon may view me, I am (we all are) the very reason they have their jobs! This is cautionary tale to warn you- if you do not fall under these salon hopper's, guidelines, and accept their haute flex of so-called poWer tripping--- they will pull rank on the perspective customer and see to it that the hair you are trying to cut... stays un-cut!! I went to great clips this past weekend. The lady there was either intoxicated or on withdrawal and you could tell. She wobbled back and forth when she walked and her speech was labored. Her hands were so shaky when handling her tools. She gave me a bald spot on the back of my head trying to fix a cowlick that wasn't even standing up at the time. My neckline was also trimmed a good half inch over where it naturally sits and is uneven. This makes my neck look funny, especially considering it wasn't even trimmed all the way. Melissa was super friendly & saw that my hair was healthy & long enough to donate. I have really mixed emotions writing this review. I went in about a month ago and had my hair cut by Anie. She did a great job. Like I have been to several salons that cost a lot and she gave me a way better cut than any of them. She listened to what I wanted and did exactly that. If I was writing a review on that visit alone I would give 5 stars. So why the two star review? My mom went in on my recommendation to get a hair cut. It turned out awful. She wanted a pixie style cut and I'm pretty sure my two year old granddaughter could have done a better job than whoever cut her hair. Sadly i am not exaggerating. She thought it was Michelle or something. It is cut so short and so chopped that I don't know how it could even be fixed until it grows out. My daughter went in for a simple 1/2 trim and the stylist Diana made her completely uneven! She was so upset and had to go back and have another stylist try and fix it, who also missed some spots. But this stylist didn't want to tell Diana how bad she did because "she gets her feelings hurt easily." This tells me it's not the first time she has mess up someone's hair. I really like their online appointment check-in system. Makes it very convenient. And I enjoyed the gal that did my cut- she was very friendly & had some good suggestions. However, the overall service was pretty poor. I guess you get what you pay for going to a chain known for cheap prices. But it was pretty disappointing that they did not wash my hair (which was rather oily & gross- I did not wash on purpose expecting to have the FULL professional service at a salon). Instead, she just sprayed my hair with water after doing a dry cut. The cut looks good, overall. She did a great job on layering, but it was pretty disappointing leaving with a half-wet head of cut hair that was not washed or even blow dried & slightly styled. Really seems like they are more concerned with getting as many in & out as they can, instead of really taking the time to care and put more effort into each of their clients. It was a spur of the moment decision on my part, but I can't say I will be back for the kind of service that was provided. More like a last-resort option. read more

I live about 30 minutes away with many other hair cut spots on the way but I come back to see Stephanie because she does a fantastic job and I know we will leave happy. My son loves her and she is able to work with his crazy hair and leaves it looking great until his next hair cut. I went in to get a haircut and of course I already knew what I wanted. I shower the girl that was cutting my hair a picture of what I wanted and she nailed it! I love my new haircut. The only thing I had a problem with was how long the wait was. When I walked in I wasn't even greeted, and no one asked to sign me in. So while I was sitting there I checked in online to make sure my spot was saved. Their was nine people on their list by the time I was called and only 3 girls cutting hair, but their was more people in their backroom laughing and chatting. This location is intended solely for male customers, or children's start of school haircuts. I went in for a trim, and the girl parted my hair down the middle and did a straight chop across the back. There was no shaping, no asking how I would normally wear my hair, none of the usual chitchat to make sure she was going to do what I wanted her to do. I was in the seat and out of the seat in 4 minutes, there is no shampooing my hair, no offer to style oh, she put some kind of heavy product in my hair that left at greasy for the rest of the day. I usually never get my hair cut here because I had a terrifying experience at a great clips as a child... they cut off half when it was only a trim so when I visited this location it was purely because I was going crazy with my out grown hair and my father along with my husband go to this exact location so I decided to give them a shot... Just sat in Great Clips among many tired customers on a busy Saturday and listened to three stylists argue for 15 minutes over who took whose customer. When I approached them at the register and suggested that this wasn't the time to figure this out, they said they had to figure it out now before taking anymore customers. I said I was ready to walk out and did shortly after as they continued their argument. I went in back in to ask for the business owner's contact information. I was given a number for corporate because the owner "doesn't allow his information to be given out". If I was an owner, I would want to know my employees acted this way. read more

I don't know about anyone else, but I hate the online check in. I don't use it, I just go in and see how long it'll take and decide if I'll wait or not. I've been sitting here for 30 minutes already because online check ins beat me to a couple spots. That system is flawed and if someone checks in and brings 4 people, it throws the whole order out.
