Walked in, and they were completely empty. Got right to the haircut and my stylist was very nice and seemed to put a lot of time and effort into it. I asked her to go shorter a few times and to remove bulk here and there. We finished up and after I left I took a double take at everything. The hair over my left ear is cut easily a half inch high, and it's maybe a quarter inch on the right. The bulk on the back of my hair is easily an inch and a half longer on the right side than the left. I asked for a taper fade. Easily the worst haircut I've gotten. And I tipped more than half of what the haircut cost... I had to schedule an appointment elsewhere to get this fixed, likely will not be returning. read more

I went in for a split and trim. Tammy completely messed up my hair. I asked her to frame my all one length hair around my face and she cut it short, crooked, and choppy. The back was crooked too. I'm not a rude person, so after I asked her to make it straight and she managed to make it even worse, I told her I was happy and left. I didn't want to go to another Great Clips and have them fix it because I didn't want to chance it again. read more

I check in, my husband drops me off then they tell me they don't do blow dries when there are only 2 people working. That would have been helpful information when I called and before my husband dropped me off. Not great clips. read more

This was one of the last Great Clips in all the area to open back up for business after the shut downs from the Wuhan Virus. Went to get haircuts for family today and they are requiring face masks as well as you answering questions about being sick and taking your temperature. Totally over the top unnecessary. Other Great Clips and salons in the area are not doing that. There have been very very little cases of the WuFlu in Anthem and this state. You have a better chance of dying in a car accident than you do from the WuFlu. If stylists are worried about the clients, don't come back to work. The stylists can wear a mask but to require customers to do it, ridiculous. I will go elsewhere from now on. read more

I walked with my 7 year old daughter yesterday for her haircut , 3 people in front of me .. the Hairstylist had to answer the phone - check in the on line appointments - check in our body temperatures - and then she also had to do her job as a Hairdresser of course the haircut it is low average.. how she was supposed to do everything there? First of all checking the body temperature in this way doesn't mean anything regarding protection and safety - I'm wondering if they have time to clean and sanitize the hair salon - I hope that the Hairdressers are pleased with their salaries read more

I went in on 8/4 for a long bob haircut, and the woman had no idea what she was doing. She originally cut without getting my hair wet, which would be ok if I only asked for a trim. I specifically asked for a certain cut above the shoulder and showed her a picture. I asked for at LEAST 1 inch, or more, in a certain style. She was using the razor to "add layers". After she finished, I did ask for a shorter cut which is when she decided to get my hair wet. By now she had already cut up to my check bone on the right side however left normal face length around the face. Making the right side uneven between my face and mid-head. After seeing the length, I requested her to stop cutting on the right side and to even out the left, that was already at the length I wanted. Because she needed to make it even, more layers were added. All of the hair is uneven throughout my head, and the original cut did not have layers, but now I have more than requested. After asking her to stop all together she insisted to continue and say that what she was doing was what I had asked for. I have several pictures to show the original request, as well ask after pictures of my "cut". Additionally, I took pictures after styling to show the uneven "layers". I asked for my hair to be trimmed up to my jawline and for some layering. ...instead they cut my hair from the original 6 inches to a maximum of 1 inch in length and make the front look like a cross between a 12 year old Justin Beiber and Ginnifer Goodwin's pixie cut...Positively the worst thing I've ever allowed someone to do to my hair. Easy cheap haircuts with little to no wait, after using mostly barber shops in the past, this was a nice change.

Nobody acknowledged us when we arrived. It would have been nice if the employees at least smiled and said, "Hi! Welcome to Great Clips". Instead, the employees kept going into a back room while ignoring the customers who were waiting for service. It was very rude. Our family went to Great Clips all the time where we used to live and the employees there were always very friendly and professional, so we were surprised there was such a big difference in the level of customer service. I hope the owner at this Anthem location will discuss this review with the staff and work towards improving the customer service skills of the employees there to make future visits more enjoyable. If our next visit is a repeat of the first visit, then we will go to a different location in the future. read more

This is a great place to take the kids for their haircuts. The staff is always very friendly and do a good job for a very economical price. I really like their app that allows you to checkin prior to coming and tells you how long your wait will be. This completes the experience. In summary: low price, fast, and good value. read more

Recently went in to get a haircut because I bleached my hair, the lady pretty much made me think I didn't know what I wanted when I told her. I wanted some layers, she told me my hair was to thin for them, and I don't have thin hair. I've never heard that before. I asked her to cut off all the dead fried hair, she just cut a straight line, it took 3 minutes. She charged me a full hair cut when she only trimmed a straight line in the back. Didn't do a damn thing I wanted. But while I was there she made me feel like she was doing a good job, until I got home and looked. She just wanted to be lazy it feels like. I moved to New River late last summer. I've been to this Great Clips three times. The time before last a tall Hispanic lady named Patty cut my hair. When I got home I did my usual checking for flaws that needed a touch up, but my haircut was as close to perfect as I could imagine (especially considering my less than perfect hair and head). Yesterday I went back and had Patty cut my hair again and the result was the same. Those are two of the best haircuts I've ever received! I highly recommend this salon and Patty in particular. I recommend downloading the Great Clips app and checking in online which will minimize the wait. read more

This is the second time I've gone because they had a discount, and the second time I've left very unhappy. I asked for someone with a similar hair type as myself and she refused, saying they were all equally qualified to cut curly hair. I asked for several specific but simple changes from the woman I was assigned to, and the she tried to talk me out of it. I insisted that I always ask for this style and this is the only way I feel comfortable with my hair (as curly hair is hard to manage), and all she did was inform me how long she's been cutting hair and tell me how it's "common sense" that what I asked for wouldn't look good. I respect the experience, but when I get my hair cut I expect that my needs be respected as well, seeing as I know my hair very well after all these years. She would not proceed with my demands, so I eventually gave in and let her do whatever she wanted. Never coming back here again. read more
