Had 2 great cuts here, however the word one ruined my overall vibe for this place. Normally the owner cuts my hair but he wasn't available. Upon entering the shop a kid was laying (napping) in the chair. He popped up and offered to cut my hair, I confirmed with him I wanted a flat top. I could tell you had no idea how to do it. As his method was nothing like I had had in my 30 years of getting flattops, when he was done I asked him ' is this a flattop? ' he said yes . I asked what is flat about it? He agreed to shape up the sides but clearly has no idea what he was doing. His clippers were dull and chewed my hair. Didn't taper or do the traditional landing strip that comes with a flat top. The owner appeared from the back saw the shock and interaction with this kid barber and did nothing to intervene. I knew at this point I never would return to this shop. read more

This is the worst haircut i've ever had, I was also turned away the whole time and couldn't see what she was doing to my hair. On top of that she wouldn't really talk at all either. I would not recommend going here. I went with my brother as well and the kid that gave him his haircut did terrible as well. read more

Went in for a hair cut and came out feeling like my hair wasn't even cut, extremely uneven and just overall not great. I decided to go back in not even 10 minutes later to ask them to fix it. They seemed cool about it. After waiting, I sit in the chair and two of the employees give me a lecture about how they should charge me for another hair cut and how if it were any other business it would be my fault. They ended up fixing it. It could have been handled more professionally, it just didn't need to be that way especially since it wasn't busy. Honestly just a bad and uncomfortable experience...wouldn't come back here again. read more

Didn't even listen to what I asked for. Had headphones in his ears. Literally cut my hair in 4 min. Worst hair cut. No razor used. Charged for fade and didn't get it. Could have done better with a Flobee. Waste of $30. One and done! read more

Really great haircut and great environment. The ONLY reason that I'm giving this place a 2 star rating is because of the price. Ive gone to several barbershops and I got nothing different; a low fade and leave the length on the top. They don't have their prices listed and after the haircut I was told $28... that is WAY higher than any other barbershop in the area and the haircut wasn't anything special. No hot towel and no massage, which other places offer at a $21 dollar range. Bummed out because I would absolutely have returned if they weren't so pricey. read more

I went here for the second time last night. My first time I got my hair cut by John-- he took his time and my hair cut turned out great. It was one of the best I've had. When I came in last night I got my hair cut by a different guy (who I will not name. I don't want to "throw him under the bus"-- anyone can have a bad day). But it seems like this other guy rushed through my hair cut, cuz when I got home my wife pointed out areas around my ear and neckline where he didn't clean up. And there were some random "stray hairs" in the fade that the clippers didn't cut. (Simply because he didn't go over my head enough with them). I have a job interview today, so I went back into the barbershop this morning as soon as they opened and a lady named Claudia sat me in her chair and cleaned up those areas around my ears and neckline where that guy didn't get very well. She was nice and didn't charge me to fix it. I give this place 5 stars because of how well John cut my hair the first time and because of how well I was treated when I went back. read more

will not go anywhere else! I have been looking for a good consistent hair cut that I can count on, Claudia and John do NOT disappoint. My good friend cut my hair and ended up moving out of state. this did leave me with many options that I tried and many failed attempts and poor hair cuts until I walked in here. I had been road tripping for a couple of days now and unfortunately did not have a chance to get my hair cut before I left home in LA. So I ask my wife to go online and check out some barbers near the road and Jhonny's barbershop popped up. My wife called ahead of time (20mins) just to make sure someone would be available which thankfully they were. As I arrive the door as a sign that said CASH ONLY unfortunately their card machine was down when I went. Good thing I still have a habit of carrying cash for situations like this. Once I entered the shop I was greeted with a smile and notice it was very prestige in its appearance. They had dark brown wood cabinets with granite counter. The restroom was clean as well. They directed me over to Sammy aka chinochopz. He was a little quiet in the beginning but, I showed him a couple of pictures of what I was looking for and he went straight to work. He took his time making sure the cut came out great and used scissors to trim a bit off the top. I must say I am very pleased with my hair cut, props to Sammy for a job well done and here are the pictures to show for it. read more

I went because it was close but won't again. I'll keep this professional so it very useful to those who need a true review. I had the owner cut my hair and even though it looked good overall. He treated me like I was just another $30 cut. He was very gruff with my head, felt like I got scaled. Didn't square off the edges near my temples or hairline, didn't use a Stright edge on the back of my neck. As he cut the top of my hair he was yanking on it as he cut it rather then making it even. I can only imagine if I let my little boy get his haircut there he would be screaming from how rough and painful it would be. read more

The haircuts are great, but great doesn't cut it when you bring kids and they play gangster rap and show movies with sexual scenes, I was absolutely disgusted by this as of recent. Seemed to be a joke with the male staff which were all kids. I would love to go back but will have to consider my options. We live in a world where this is acceptable and no care for there actions and as they laughed it off all I wanted was for this haircut to end! read more

I've been going here on and off since they opened because of convenience and being open on Mondays. I've had some good haircuts and haven't had any complaints up until last week. After my haircut I was told it was $26!! I questioned this and the barber told me since I got a #1 on the sides it was more than a standard haircut??? Anything less than a #2 he said was now $26 because its more difficult. What's the difference? JOHNNY'S BARBERSHOP lost a customer on this one. That's ridiculous!! read more

I would leave zero stars if possible. Got to the shop at 9am when they opened, signs that lead me to believe sitting in the lobby was not okay. Sat on the bench out front with another guy. Other barber came in the back and took 2 other people before both of us who arrived 30 minutes before them both. I just wasted an hour sitting there. I will not ever be back and I will share the news with people locally how bad this experience was. I even told one of the barbers I had a meeting and he assured me I was next. Insane. read more

What a joke of a "business". It's local, small businesses like this that go under than blame everyone/everything but themselves. I was just told that my hair was "too long" to get a haircut? Excuse me? Isn't that what a hair cut is for? For reference, my hair is about 3" on top and 2" on the sides. Long... sure?? Then, was told they are closed.. it's 6pm on a Tuesday and it says 9am-7pm on your window, AND on maps. Might want to figure out what kind of business you are running, you fools. Got my hair cut here today and it came out great. This is my second time coming here and both are some of the best hair cuts I've had. Having been kicked out of barber shops for being female before, it's awesome coming here where no one bats an eye and you get the full treatment. They truly took their time cleaning up my edges and styled it great. I'm super happy with how it came out and thought it was a really thorough cut especially given the price. I'm a big fan and will probably stop by whenever I'm in town! I would totally recommend to women with short hair who are looking for a barber shop. read more

By far some some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced. I've gone here a few times and every time I went, I told them what I wanted and the barber would give me whatever was convenient for him/her. Sometime only spending 15 minutes on my hair cut just for it to turn out patchy, uneven lines, and some of the worst tapering I've ever seen. I would not recommend this place to anyone. There's better barbers down the street that actually try to get to know you and do their absolute best to achieve the style you are going for. read more

I've taken my son there because it's close, I'll NEVER go back!!! I can't speak for all the barbers there, but the one we went to.... I have taken my 1 year old little boy here twice to get his hair cut. Both times I have been extremely impressed! The barbers are so good with him! They are patient and treat him just as they would an adult client as far as quality goes. His hair is absolutely perfect every time, which is incredible when you consider his age and ability to sit still and follow directions. Where do I start with this place? I've lived in the area for some time and in the North Phoenix area we are not fortunate to have very many barber shops with talented barbers. If you care about how you look, enjoy great customer service, enjoy great music and would like to get a haircut from a professional, then stop looking anywhere else. You can literally sit in any chair in this barbershop and feel confident in your decision. Junior, Heber, Frankie, and John are all experienced barbers and just great guys in general. My first visit - good cut, not a long wait. 2nd visit - average cut, ok wait. Last time - 30+ min wait with empty barber chairs (poor employee scheduling); left. This time - empty barber chairs, after about 10 min it looked like another 30+, left. Probably won't go back. If they can't schedule employees for busy time of day I don't need to be impacted by that. read more

I'm from Foley Alabama. I'm a truck driver so I go all over the country, which means I've gotten my haircut from a lot of places across the United States. And this barber shop is the best place I've ever been too. They are cool guys and they have a couple women that cut hair there too. I wouldn't call these men and woman barbers I would call them artists. They gave me the best haircut I've ever had in my life and they take the time to do so. It's always slammed full of people but we'll worth the wait. They even hooked me up with a beard trim too.
