I arrived in Utah from California late Friday night. On the drive my vehicle started smoking and leaking oil. I had to wait until Saturday morning to find a mechanic. Grease Monkey opened at 8am and I called right at opening. At arrival all employees were very friendly and very informative. They didn't charge me to diagnose the issue and would only charge me on repairs. Matt was amazing and took the time to point out a few things and asked me to drive the car around for a while and bring it back to make sure everything was good. Wife brought 2023 jeep in for oil change and guy at counter insisted she needed new brake pads at $60 a pad. Thought it was weird since it's a pretty new jeep went a got a second look down the road and they said the brake pads are at 7 mm new ones are 9 and we definitely don't need brake pads. very unreliable and unhonest hopefully they didn't screw us on the oil. read more

I was leaving Costco and got a "low tire pressure" alarm. I was parked next to Grease Monkey so I pulled in to see if someone would take a look at my tire. Bill and another young man had me move my car forward slowly so the could look for perhaps a nail or screw in my tire. They found that I did have a small divet on the tire. They felt the tire was still in good working order, aired up the tire, checked all the others and sent me on my way! No waiting. No question. Just great service. This post is long overdue, but we have been on the road with limited access to cell service. I am so impressed with the service I received from the team at Grease Monkey. As I said, we have been on the road, pulling our 38-0 fifth wheel with our RAM 3500 diesel. I had the truck serviced at Grease Monkey, including oil change, fuel filter change, and tranny fluid change. Prices were reasonable and service was very professional. We left St. George and our first stop was a scenic overlook called Le Fevre overlook, which was at the top of a long climb. As I was getting in the truck to leave I noticed reddish, oily liquid running out from under the truck. First thing that came to mind was transmission fluid. I called Grease Monkey and let them know what was going on, sent pictures of the leak and underside of the truck. The tech, wish I could remember his name, came back and said he was sending a technician to our location to diagnose the issue. Mind you, this was a couple hours from their location. At that point, I was already impressed with the service, but when Sienna Montgomery arrived on the scene and started diagnosing the issue, I was truly impressed and so grateful. She thoroughly checked out the truck and much to my embarrassment, concluded that the fluid was antifreeze, not tranny fluid. I cannot give this Grease Monkey team enough accolades to express my gratitude. In this day and age it is rare to find a group that provides the amazing service that I have described. Great Team at this location!!! Thomas did an excellent job at communicating what was needed when I took my Jeep in. Explained the process of the repair and provided updates throughout the day. My Jeep needed a water pump replaced and he was able to order the part and get it installed all in the same day! The replacement was a lengthy process due to the nature of the part but Charles was able to save me and offered me a ride back and forth from my home, I very much appreciated that. I overall enjoyed my experience and left very satisfied.if I could give 10 stars I would. Also shout out to the person that worked on my Jeep, didn't get her name but she did awesome. There was a chance that the replacement would need to be continued next day but she got it all done by the time they closed! Life saver read more

Went in for an oil change and was told it would take about 30 minutes and ended up waiting for almost 2 hours. Not a huge deal for me, I could look past it but once my car was done and I drove off, I noticed my glove box completely taken apart still. Came back to ask them to put it back on and realized the cabin air filter I also paid for wasn't even installed. Not sure what's going on here, just seems like they're all over the place. read more

However, when they told me I needed to replace the cabin filter they showed me a dirty filter that was not from my vehicle. I knew it wasn't my filter because I just replaced it myself. I had some concerns about transmission fluid, but Brandon went and pulled a little sample to compare it with brand new fluid so I could see for myself what we were looking at. He listened to my truck usage and talked me through everything so patiently! He also advised we check the differential fluid since it's 4wd (which at first I thought was just mechanic speak for "scam") but he came back around and said it all looked good! I just want to commend their employee David for making good on what could of been a not so nice experience. A costly repair was done elsewhere as a result of a safety inspection recommendation advised by Grease Monkey. In fact, the repair was not necessary. When I returned to Grease Monkey I Confronted David who admitted an honest error on his part. Rather than make excuses he won back my business through his excellent customer service recovery skills and offered a generous credit on an alternative service the vehicle required. I've been going here for years because it is fast and easy. Always been happy, but just bought a Mini Cooper and took it in for an oil change. They were good enough to let me know that it requires a special type of oil and the reason why (because of the tolerances of the engine, pressure, etc.) which made sense - and I didn't know that before. But when they delivered it to me they pointed out that it had a low oil pressure light on and that I should get the sensor checked but not to worry because it has to be the sensor. I drove it to the BMW mechanic and he said they had used the wrong wrench to tighten the filter and cracked it, so it was sucking air (or something like that) and not building oil pressure - and that I am lucky that I didn't ruin the engine driving it from the time I got the oil changed. He said it is a common problem and that oil change places should be more questioning about the problem if the oil pressure light is on and diagnose it before the customer leaves. It is likely a new guy, but he should have asked more experienced people to help him figure out why the oil pressure light was on instead of making me think it really does have pressure because it is just the sensor. I really like these guys, just disappointed that they didn't look at things closer. It could have been extremely costly mistake. I'll probably go there again, just probably not with a specialty vehicle. read more

Do not let them do anything to your transmission especially adding fluid. In Denver they overfilled my truck by three quarts. It did not want to move. In St George it was so high in my Camery I thought that the trans was going bad. Everything else was fine but clueless on transmissions. I contacted home office and no reply. read more

Grease Monkey has great staff with great service. We went up there for a one week vacation to visit Zion and Bryce Canyon. Our car ran over a big strip of exploded tire on the highway, the rubber scratched the bottom of my car badly causing the suspension cover to open and dragged on the floor. Then we got a big screw in one of our tires. Talk about having a bad day, all this happened on an early weekend morning. We dragged the dangling suspension cover and a almost gone tire to Costco, Sears, none were able to help us immediately. Just as we thought our day will be wasted on fixing cars, we saw Grease Monkey. We thought it won't hurt just to go over and see if they can help us sooner. As we pulled over, there were already couple cars in their shop, but they promised they will get our car fixed in no time, and suggested we go and grab some lunch and they will be done then. Just as they promised, we went to the next door snack shop and got two sandwich and by the time we came back they are already test driving our car. It was 1pm when we were on our way again.
