When we came back, they told us that it was just a small hole in the tire and they didn't charge us anything because it was so small. They just asked that we come back next time we need new tires. Due to time constraint I took the two tires ($498) and ordered the correct ones to be installed upon shipment. But,... Before any of that could happen, I left with two new rear tires and went upon my way. My TPM light was still on, but I figured it would reset soon, then 15m on 90 exprwy my Red Tire Pressure light came on. As I looked for the closest exit, BAM my tire blew. Yes the tire I'd just purchased blew completely off as I was travelling on expressway. I had slowed down luckily, but it could have been a disaster. I called the location and spoke with Clementine. He said I must have done something for the tire to blow. That is unusual. I stated that no I did not hit anything or run over anything and that my light was on right after I left the location. He said I would have to come in to have the car and the tires checked. I did so following day. He showed me my tire and stated that my alignment could have caused it. I stated that was highly unlikely that an alignment would rub a new tire to the point of blowing in 20 min. He stated there was nothing he could do and that he wasn't refunding me. I had initially intended to have the tire replaced, but because of the despicable treatment and the continued accusations that I had been responsible for the tire blowing out. I stated I wasn't comfortable doing business with them and wanted my original tire and spare. He stated he wouldn't do that and I said that the tire has a warranty on it at least for 48hrs, even though I did not purchase the additional warranty. Finally I asked him to call regional manager. He did so. He waited on 4 people after hanging up from the call, and finally came over to state that he would refund me and replace the tires. I do not recommend this location and warn anyone about their practices. I do not believe you get what you pay for. I don't believe my alignment was checked. I don't believe my tire was installed properly. Beware.

Just relocated to Rockford and was referred to Powders by a coworker who has been taking their…read morevehicles there for over 20 years. Called on a Friday, spoke with the Owner, Mike. He was very kind and courteous and took time to listen. I brought in our van at 7am on Monday, when they first open and he took time to better understand the situation and promised a phone call follow up. About 845 he called to give me four options on how to fix it. I never felt pressured to handle it a certain way and it was obvious he is there to provide great customer service. I approved the work and had the van back at the end of the day. So far, so good. Price was fair for the amount of work that was done, and certainly beats anything you would pay at a dealer. Turns out I had some work done at a dealer back in June and they didn't catch something that Powders did. Very happy to have found a great shop this quickly upon arriving in Rockford.

They let my car sit before speaking to the warranty company. The transmission got shipped to the auto shop. June 6, but I didn't receive my car back until six weeks after !!!! July 13 with it still shaking and vibrating after they said that they test drove it and it was OK to pick up , unfortunately, that wasn't the truth The motor mounts was missing two of them and it was an obvious with the work they had just done with it being right above the transmission. I had to take my car way out to the other autoshop in Belvedere just to get that fixed. This place is a big joke from the management on now. I wouldn't. recommend this place to a dog !! Especially if you're a girl they will play you like you're dumb
