Terrible customer service here. Went in for an oil change and told the man I had a $20 coupon. He stated the coupon had to be for that location. I said well does this location have any coupons he says I don't have any coupons. So he says we will start working on your car. I said not unless I get a discount. Absolute worst customer service. Avoid this place! I asked them to loosen an oil filter cap they over-tightened during my last oil change. They completely refused to help. When I pushed back, the manager went unhinged. He closed the bay doors on me, refused to honor any warranty, spoke disrespectfully to his own staff, and actually called the cops on me just for asking them to fix their mistake. Save your money and go to the shop right next door to Point S instead. They saw what happened, kindly lent us the tool we needed for free, and treated us with actual respect. Normally I do our oil changes but today my wife decided to try Grease Monkey because our AAA membership shows that Grease Monkey offered discounts to members. Was that a mistake. She came home disgusted with the way she was treated. The guy behind the counter was rude and condescending to her. When she asked about the AAA discount the dudes reply was "Nope, we don't give discounts here". He then proceeded to try and up sell other services such as filter and other fluid changes. When my wife said her husband can do all of that the jerk started quizzing her about if her husband was a mechanic. When she said no he is just into repairing cars the guy mumbled something under his breath. My wife asked him what he said and his reply was "I doubt he can change the transmission fluid in his garage", which is not what he uttered the first time. Evidently these guys do not read these reviews because a two star rating tells you all you need to know. First time and last time customer. Took daughter's car in for oil change and the guy was not the best at customer service. Did fine at changing oil but I will not return. I discussed a coupon when I first went in and he said it had to be from your site, I went there and got it. While waiting I saw the one that said additional 10.00 off if you had a sticker from a competitor. When they finished I mentioned the second coupon and he said I had to tell him about it when I first came in and that it wasn't their responsibility to ask and that they had thrown the sticker away but if I wanted to dig in the trash I could. It may not have been his responsibility to ask but that would be a nice courtesy especially since we had talked about coupons in the beginning. I also thought it was crazy that he couldn't answer how much it would cost to do a change on my truck without brining it in. If I know the engine size then it's all the same. I had an oil change here today, and service was good! I was the first to arrive around 8:05. The person that checked me in was super nice. He didn't try to upsell me, but rather asked if I'd like services that I have been putting off. I was finished pretty quickly. I would definitely go here again. Holy crap, these dudes are fast! Once we got in here to get the busted jalopy that is our car in, they had changed the oil, swapped the filters, and topped us off on coolant in less than 15 minutes. Stay away. I'm a car guy and I only take my car in for oil changes because I don't have time to do them myself. I took my wife's car in for an oil change and they stripped the threads on the oil pan. I'm guessing they overtightened it. The next place I took it could tell and they wouldn't touch it. I had to get the pan repaired at the dealership and I was lucky not to have to replace the entire thing. Not cheap. I keep all the paperwork on the car so I could pinpoint this Grease Monkey as the ones who messed it up. The manager was rude and gave me some excuse about not being able to know who did it. I got the owner to call me back and he told me that this happens on all cars (not true) and that his crew is trained so they couldn't possibly have done it. He took no responsibility. Also, since this is a franchise, I have little hope that corporate would do anything about this. I have been to other Grease Monkeys with excellent service, but I feel the need to warn people to avoid this place. They are incompetent, irresponsible, and dishonest. read more

My 22 year old daughter took her 2016 Ford Focus to this shop on Saturday, Aug. 20, 2022. She asked for an oil change. They took the car in the garage, came back to talk to her with a list of $1000 worth of things that need to be fixed. She told them just an oil change. He told her if she did not replace the cabin filter it makes an oil change useless, so she agreed to that service. Three days later the oil light goes on, followed by the engine light, followed by a mechanical failure light. We have the car towed to our house as Grease Monkey told us not to tow to their store after business hours. Today (8/27) we towed it to Northglenn Grease Monkey and the manager runs the codes, which we had already done, and all three codes have something to do with the oil. He tells my daughter and husband that she does not take care of her car and let's her oil get dirty, which is not true. She goes by the sticker on her window. This was the first time she used this shop. The manager got mouthy and told my husband to take it to a mechanic because we know nothing about cars. Things got heated so I went out to the garage. I thought the guy was going to hit my husband. He was screaming, slamming the car hood and door. He was just yelling over my husband and daughter. I go out and try to talk to the guy and he yelled at me that my husband was rude and that we need to leave and he needs to explain nothing to me. I was calm and trying to just have him tell me what was wrong. He would not even let me talk. I told him I was a customer, and he did I was no longer a customer. He screamed in my face. Only one other customer inside the store and empty bays. He told me he was calling the cops on me if I did not leave the store. So now we have the car at the Ford dealership. Once I have her car repaired I plan on filing a claim in small claims court for the maximum amount I can file for. Not a threat. Side note, my daughter had to cancel an appt today due to this, and her doctor said the exact same thing happened to her at the exact same shop. It ended up costing her $1000 to repair her car. I also watched the manager charge an elderly Asian woman who spoke broken English $788 dollars as we were waiting. She tried to clarify something and he told her that her maintenance was good for now. She said nevermind and walked out mumbling. It was so rude!! This is a horrible business, and not representative of the other stores my daughter has used, even though we tell her to never go to Grease Monkey. read more

Went to Grease Monkey to get an oil change for my 1965 Ford pickup. I was told they charge an extra $50 because it has a camper on it. I travel the country full time I get oil changes all over the country. I HAVE NEVER BEEN CHARGED AN UPCHARGE for having a camper on my truck. The manager told me it is only this franchise owner that does that. I told him to call the owner and tell him it is just a truck oil change, the camper does not change what they have to do. The kid went inside, came out 3 minutes later And told me the owner will charge the $50 and call me on Monday. I thought that was ridiculous and told them I was not going to pay that overcharge and left. The owner should not have tried putting things off till Monday and he tries to gouge people with campers. I guess he thinks we have money. I find his practices disgusting. I wonder what other upcharges he tries to get from people on oil changes? The crew is nice but do not spend your money here. No bueno. This Grease Monkey happens to be the closest to our home - but I'm done going there. Every time there's an issue. They've stopped carrying oil filters for certain cars. They've run out of a certain kind of oil. The service hasn't been great either. Not super friendly. Overall, just a below average experience. There are plenty of other Grease Monkeys within a 5 mile radius, so we'll take our business to one of those. read more

Came in for an oil change, they recommended to replace the cabin air filter and engine air filter. I get it, and the cabin filter was pretty bad, but the prices were too high for me-I'll do it myself. Immediately after I notice the fan is making a noticeable humming noise above the lowest speed. On May 3rd 2018 we had our oil changed by this Grease Monkey in our 2005 Impala. On May 4, 2018 while driving in the mountains we see a cloud of "smoke" coming from underneath the car. Then the Low Oil Pressure light came on. We stopped immediately. William Long of Long Brothers Garage in Conifer looked at the car and said that some seal blew out but he did not have time to work on it. It was most likely caused by overfilling the Oil. We had the car towed back to Northglenn and had it worked on at Goodyear. They stated that the crank seal was blown out and stated " Possible Motor to be overfilled and created to much pressure and caused seal to catastrophically fail." I went back to Grease Monkey they said there is no way to prove it was overfilled and offered no relief. When you have your Oil changed here. Before you leave make sure to have them show you on the dip stick that it is filled to the correct level and not under or over filled. Good Luck read more

This place is a joke. Was quoted 45 minutes for an oil change, and am still here nearly two hours later. They do not go in order of customers arriving. I have seen 4 people who showed up after me already come and go. And, they are trying to pull fast ones on almost every customer. Don't go here if you don't want your vehicle broken. I took it in on Monday and all I wanted was an oil change. They broke my headlight switch doing their "17 point inspection" which I didn't need in the first place. So now I had to spend a day at the U Pull It trying to figure out how I may fix my Jeep. Now I have to tear my whole dash board apart to replace the whole molded plastic cowl all because those jerks yanked on my light switch too hard and destroyed my light switch cowl. These people are rude, incompetent idiots! The manager ran my debit card 3 times and had the nerve to tell me it was declined! My account didn't have $135.00 that's the reason it was declined. Takes several days to put it back in your account. I specifically asked them to lock my car after they were done ( which I always ask and they never do!) as I went to get lunch while they worked on my oil change. They never locked it AGAIN! They never put my new license plate # into the system. Similar instances happen every time I go there. They never fixed/ brought up my blinker light was out. We took our '07 Yaris in for an oil change today. In and out on a Sunday in about 30 minutes. Very, VERY minor upsells of wiper blades, which we got - the price was reasonably competitive with Your Friendly Local Auto Parts Store at seventeen each for basic blades - and Air Filters for Cabin and Intake, which we didn't get, since those were both replaced at the last service interval. The staff was friendly, reasonably knowledgeable, and not super pushy with the upsells, which is a very nice change from my previous oil change shop experience. I had a bad experience in 2007 with that "Instant Popcorn" oil place that came with a $220 surprise that put me off having someone do it for me for the better part of a decade. That said, my experience today was painless and without drama, thanks to the Grease Monkeys at Northglenn Store #93! One star off for the *significant* price gaps between basic, high mileage, and synthetic oil changes. Very, very few people will need anything other than basic oil, since they're changing it so often... Other than that, hightly recommended! read more

When I walked into the store. The gentleman who greeted me was an older man and very grumpy. The work or garage person showed me what was going to be done to my car and they told me about some few things that I knew was going to need to be done and then he said that my belt for my engine was cracked which I knew was wrong and so I asked to look at it and when we both looked at it it was not cracked. When my car was done and I went to pick it up the ashtray was open where I keep all of my change I did not have it open when I pulled into the station and the change some of the change was gone. Been taking my business to them for 15 years, the service that was done to my vehicle wasnt even needed, then after my vehicle started leaking i took it back to the them and after everything the manager told me to prove that they did something wrong! Took my vehicle to the dealer and the dealer fixed what grease monkey broke. Now the manager dont want to pay for my rental because my vehicle was under warranty, im glad i had warranty because if not dont seem like grease monkey would have helped me in any way. We took one of our trucks there to get a simple oil change. After two days the complete transmission leaked and was trashed. We called them over 6 weeks and no response. We then took to our mechanic to fix and was told by him, that someone trashed the transmission line and made a crap repair with a cheap plastic hose and clamps. When finally was able to get ahold of someone named Carlos was told sorry so sad for you and the 3k you spent on a new transmission Stay as far away as you can as they will kill your car and laugh about it, they do not stand behind what they do. read more
