They could have changed the brakes in the rear and made some extra money, but instead they chose the high-road. Another example of how awesome they are, there was a loud noise in my Toyota Highlander...the guys at the local big-chain Tire Shop took a test drive with me and told me it was bad tire noise. They quoted me some tires ($900+) but instead of just getting them I thought I would ask the guys at RPM what they thought, after a very short 2 minute test drive, Levi told me I had a bad rear-right wheel bearing...a few hours later the noise is gone and I saved a bunch of money. I recently inherited a car, and there was a question of whether its engine needed to be replaced. The first thing I found out about Colorado Engine is that they have the best deals. For my vehicle, they would install a remanufactured engine with 4-year no-fault parts and labor guarantee with no mileage limit, for $7260: $4365 for the engine and $2895 to install it. They have used engines available too. And they were glad to spend time explaining all the details on the phone - no rush.  I called two other places, and neither even offered remanufactured engines. They have mechanics who personally rebuild existing engines. The process takes about 5 weeks, costing $7500 - $8400. And their warranties weren't as good. So just call Colorado Engine first! (Unless you are particularly attached to your own personal engine.)  So I was getting ready to go ahead and get the engine. I figured it was either that or get a different car. But I couldn't make a different car work out financially. So I called and told them I wanted to start the process to get a remanufactured engine. And they said, "Can we look at your car first, just to see if it really needs the engine? Maybe we can fix it." So I said "Sure." I brought it in and they examined It. And it didn't need an engine! It only needed a radiator cap, and in the future, a fan clutch! I don't gamble, but I felt like I had won the lottery! These people are not only kind, but knowledgeable and honest, too!  So if your car needs an engine replacement, call Colorado Engine - you'll be very happy!
