got an oil change while at work Friday & proceeded to go to Denver for Rockies game afterwards. Car wasn't parked for prolonged time so I had no idea it was leaking oil on way down, only realized after the game with a small oil spot under car. car had active leak and was bone dry after the oil change because o-ring was cracked due to negligence. was left stranded in Denver with no way back to Longmont and no way to get more oil as it was late night and shops were closed. Be very careful at this location and be sure to check under your car for oil leaks after they service because they failed to do so after getting it back together read more

I don't write reviews ever.... I got my oil changed here about two months ago and ever since I've had constantly put 3 quarts of oil in and it seems to keep leaking out. Will just change my own oil from now on... read more

David the manager has a very bad attitude violent tendencies I noticed it was towards his other employees as well as towards a few customer. One older gentleman came in and immediately the manager jumped on him told him he could not work there if he did not have black pants the gentleman explained the situation and the manager insisted that he must be in uniform which I agree fired him and then told him that he quit with aggression mind you . read more

OMG, I wish I had read the reviews before I sopped here for an oil change, what a shithile. All the negative reviews seem real plausible. I wen there yesterday for an oil change, figured 60 to 80 bucks or so. Before starting the tech showed me the price list, choose your entry, the price in bld letters. But then when you go to pay and te invoice has two line items on it for shop supplies, additional costs? WTF, why not ad payroll burden, triple net rent charges what else on the invoice. Oh yes, I forgot , the extra line item you put on charging for limited slip. I am not saying these employees are smart, but they know enough that when they sell you a job they purposefully and deceitfully do not tell you all the charges they know you will beinvoiced for. Go somewhere, Longmont does not need deceptive business practice. read more

After going to this place, the last few times, I never had any problems. This time was different, I brought my Subaru in for a standard oil change and was waiting for 15-20 minutes when the technician pulls around and gives me back the keys. He checks me out and states he double checked everything and i was good to go. Not even 2 miles down the road my car stars knocking, and the engine shuts down. After getting it towed off the road to a shop, THERE WAS NO OIL IN THE ENGINE! the dipstick was completely dry and the engine wouldn't run. They completely ruined my engine and have yet to refund anything, it's a week later and I still haven't heard anything from their insurance. After they told me they would contact me within 24 hours. read more

I went to the grease monkey on Ken, Pratt and Longmont today. I paid for full service synthetic oil change and when I checked the oil, it was still dirty and tire pressure was low. They also did not fill windshield wiper fluid. Did not go through double check with technician as stated on the receipt. I have no confidence they did anything but change the windshield wiper blades. They must've tried to change the oil as fast as possible because oil should be golden color instead it had a bunch of black swirls in it. I had oil dripped all over the front of my engine from a messy technician. read more

After years of good service at this location, my last visit will be my last. I took my Toyota sequoia in for an oil change and n was told they couldn't do it because my skid plate bolts were stripped and couldn't be removed. I asked to see the manager as they have been the only shop to service it, so they would most likely be the ones that stripped them. After the tech nervously told me he wouldn't be back for an hour as he was at lunch, the manager pulled up and came in to talk to me. He said, "Don't worry, I'm sure they aren't stripped, and I can get them off I agreed to wait and asked them to show me the stripped bolts. The manager was able to free up the bolts, and another technician brought them in to show me. She stated they were "rusty" Upon my inspection, the bolts were not rusty, nor were they stripped! I understand it's not fun to remove the skidplate in order to change the oil filter, but this is the job you chose! I'm very disappointed! read more

Needed to get my wifes car oil changed. I came into the office... no one was around but one guy sitting in the Customer seating that was dirty looking, long dirty ponytail and looked annoyed that he had to stop playing on his phone. He stood up and then was helpful. When the oil was changed he had "oily hands" and left prints all over the car door ( just had it washed across the street before coming there). Then he jumped into the car to reset the oil gauge but could not figue it out, we have light tan colored leather seats and he had an oily rag in his back pocket and clothes that had not been washed for maybe years. He did not put down a paper floor mat or a seat cover. Ok, I wiped off the oil prints on the door and cleaned the seats with some leather cleaner wipes I had... not a big deal, BUT the guy SMELLED SOOOOOOOOO bad I had to drive home with the windows open and then left all the doors open in the drive way for hours to get the PUTRID SMELL out. Gross!!! Take a shower dude! Needless to say I won't go back there... maybe that is why there were no customer at all! read more

I've been coming here for several years, but the staff changed in the last year or so and the knowledge and quality of service has deteriorated. My last visit I asked them to replace one of the headlights. It took well over an hour and then it was installed wrong I went back and the employee who had done the work was no longer there and the guys were professional and fixed it but may need to tighten up the ship. read more

After having my car serviced several times at Grease Monkey in Longmont, Colorado I feel it is necessary to write a review about them. The service staff and technicians are exceptional and are very thorough and very polite. When they are finished with your car they go over all the details and recommendations. They are very reasonable and open to working with you. If it's time for an oil change I would highly recommend them. They are located at: 1230 Ken Pratt Boulevard Longmont, Colorado. read more

I've used this location many times. I got an oil change just over a month ago. I took my car to a mechanic because it had a problem, which I later learned was related to the quality of oil in the car. The mechanic noticed that the oil in my car was very dirty and sludgy. He looked at the sticker Grease Monkey left on my windshield and stated that there was no way oil looked like the oil in my car after just 1 month. In short, I payed for an oil change that never was. Please be aware of their deceptive business practices, save your money and go elsewhere. read more

I have used this Grease Monkey for over 15 years and have always been pleased. When I went for my last oil change, I noticed that things had changed--the waiting room was dirty and I was sitting next to a lizard in an aquarium with little flies all around. The other three people in the room were all talking about how this was the last time they were using this Grease Monkey after having giving it a chance before today--not happy with the service after the new management. Normally, Grease Monkey cleans the window, checks all the fluid levels, etc. None of that happened--just the oil change. No information, no conversation, etc. A couple of months later, I went by to have my oil level checked which was a real bother to the folks inside--had to interrupt their smoke break. He told my level was okay and I'm not sure I trust what he said--I wondered if he just didn't want to do any work. It bothers me to feel this way about a place I always trusted. read more

Took my very expensive Lexus in to have a headlight restoration done on it I was very happy with the headlights themselves but they got the overspray all over my fenders my hood my front bumper and the grill and it will not come off and then when I called to address the problem the guy was extremely rude about it I would not suggest this company to anybody terrible customer service and they definitely will be fixing my vehicle read more

Ok so I came in on a Monday morning, not a lot of people so they said it should only take 15-20 mins. When I pulled up the guy helping me was chill and helpful I think his name was Jordan. Then I go in to the waiting area and minutes later the lady working there asks me for my info. As I was giving her my info she couldn't hear me so started misspelling my name and quickly got frustrated. Then after, she asks another guy for his info and also becomes quickly frustrated when he isn't understanding the oil options. I really don't appreciate the hostility, the place wasn't that busy so that really wasn't necessary. Edgaro the guy working on my car called me out and explained to me that my air conditioning filters needed to be changed as well. The OIL CHANGE FOR HIGH MILEAGE was $49 and the CABIN FILTERS were $39.99. I just needed to get this done so I really didn't check competitors prices. I was out of there fairly quickly. All in all it was an ok experience. read more

OIL CHANGE: Not too much to say other than very fast, friendly and no errors that I could tell. Every shop should be this efficient. I used to go to another "quicky" shop for my changes, but the last time they did not tighten the bolt or whatever and I leaked oil all over the parking lot at work. Thank hid not my driveway at my house! Prices here where average enough. read more

Came in for my basic 3000 mile service. Very friendly and attentive staff. I asked if they would do a few extra things and expected to pay. They probably wouldn't want it advertised but they did them with cheer and didn't charge me. Granted they were minor like washing the interior of the front window and vacuuming the back instead if the front but it beats the grumbling I hear at the jiffy place and no at the oil can. Even better they actually had the right coolant for my hybrid. Nobody else does and they topped off the hybrid coolant. My old monkey went out if business in Loveland. I have found a new home for my routine maintenance. Good job! read more

Good shop for basic services. Prompt efficient, friendly. Very good prices. Been going for years. two cars. Some folks complain on reviews about "upsell." Well, almost all auto shops do that. Not really an issue. Sometimes you may need those services. If not just say no thanks or consider it for the future. Manager is very nice and helpful. read more

This place is a fairly reliable place to get an oil change but the upsell attempts are pretty shady. While getting my oil changed today they tried to tell me my battery was bad. The technician then tried to prove it to me on his device he had hooked up to my battery. His device kept failing. My battery is less than a year old. It is not bad. read more

Shady business practices. I went in for an oil change, the mechanic told me I had a leaky radiator. They offered to change it out for $400 cash, then gave me no receipt should have known it was an under the table deal. They also said they would flush my transmission for free. Funny thing I have a manual tranny and afterwards could tell that no flush was even done. So overall $400 for a radiator that cost $150 and $300 for labor. Contacted owner and all they did was give me a printed receipt. read more

I took my truck in here because it was running rough. I asked them to change the plugs and wires, and asked if they could use NGK plugs. The guy responded "That's exactly what we recommend". Then they put Denso's in it. First thing I noticed when getting in to drive home was the check engine light was flashing at me, instead of simply staying on. The light was on when I brought it in, but not flashing. My truck ran so bad on the way home, I barely got there. Much worse than when I brought it in. I replaced the coils myself at their recommendation. This didn't bother me as it completes the tune-up. However it didn't fix the problem. Still runs horrible and the check engine light is flashing. After examination I see the plug wire for #4 is loose and sticking out about 1/4" further than the other 2 plugs. The spark plug was not completely tightened. I took the plug out to make sure it wasn't cross threaded. Then re-installed. Plug wire now fits good and is tight. But the truck still runs like crap, and the check engine light is still flashing. After further examination of the plug wires, 2 of them were backwards. I switched those and the truck ran great, and the check engine light stopped flashing. then after clearing the codes...The light stayed off. In summary a spark plug was only put in half way, and 2 plug wires were swapped when they got done putting on new plugs and wires. The did what they said the would do, but the quality of work was bad. This is pretty basic mechanic stuff. read more

Great assistance. Took my vehicle to get its 3000 mile Oil change and in 20 minutes they where done and ready to go. They hustle and get it done the right way. Just today I brought it to get fuel system cleaning and they got me going right away. Definitely recommend this Grease Monkey association! read more

I came here to get a full service oil change. They tech asked me to come check what they did. As he was showing me the fluid levels he drops my transmission fluid cap and says he will go get it. When they pull my car around I pop my hood and find that the fucking loser that dropped my cap had zip tied a rubber glove over the transmission fluid tube instead of finding the cap he dropped. I went in today to see about an oil change. The manager was there with a member of staff and didn't even look at me. So much for customer service! I continued to stand there while they discussed work schedule. I was quite prepared to wait, no big deal but it was just the fact that the manager didn't even say hello, I'll be with you soon. Really rude! I had to leave before saying what I thought of him. This was my first experience, never to be repeated. They are not the only show in town. Shabby and unprofessional at best. I only gave the one star because the staff member said hi. Maybe the manager needs to take some customer service training from him?? read more

The only reason why I give them one star is because I have to do a review. I took my car there to get an oil change because my regular mechanic was not open on The Weeknd. I trusted grease monkey and I chose it between two other places Midas and Brakes Plus. Biggest mistake my car with structurally sound before I take it to this nightmare. My washer fluid was cut my air filter was completely missing and they didn't put the correct oil filter so my car leaked all the oil from there to my house. When I called the manager immediately got defensive saying it was document that my car was leaking oil when I brought it in each and every fluid was low and the air filter was already missing. He offered a free oil change after I told him I had receipts of the air filter from Less than a week ago. He was very nasty very disrespectful and used profanity ever other word. Long story short I took my car to my regular mechanic and he believes that because I drove without oil my engine is messed up. I got this car from the first owner who is now deceased with documents proving the car was taken care of also have proof I took care of my car in the yr I had it. DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE read more
