My wife came here for an oil change because I didn't have the time to do it and she needed one, when we got it back we noticed it was leaking very very bad and we need to take it to another place (an actual mechanic) who was nice enough to fix it for us but Greasmonkey some how forgot the rubber ring for the filter and a washer for the nut in the oil pan. When I went to address the issue and asked for a simple refund they denied me and said that they can't do that because I took it somewhere else to fix the horrible job they did; so I repeat do NOT go here. Went for an oil change but also asked them to change my break pads because a light in my car said I needed to. They found that a caliper was broken and had to be fixed before I could drive away. A couple hours later I left and my breaks did not work at all. I drove slowly around the block and came back and waited a couple more hours. Went in for an oil change and all went well, until I went back out to my car and noticed they'd scratched the paint and there was a chunk of window tint missing under the old oil change mileage sticker - which they'd removed and then put back (a corner was left unattached and it wasn't like that when I arrived). I wondered why they handed me the new sticker when I paid for the oil change, rather than replacing it as usual, now I know. I don't know who damaged the window tint, but I do know they saw it and didn't say anything about either that or the scratch. They also claimed to have washed interior windows, vacuumed, and reset the maintenance light (per the receipt), none of which was done. When I spoke with Josh (manager), he apologized and said the scratch was probably caused by the mechanic's belt, and offered to paint it. They did a nice job with the paint, and were friendly throughout the process. Unfortunately, I've lost faith in this Grease Monkey location and won't be back. read more

Update: It in now the end of June...three months after my fiasco at Grease Monkey happened. I have contacted all managers and the franchise owner (Don) asking them AGAIN to refund my money and send me the tail light kit they have claimed to have purchased. I don't feel I should have to drive 10 miles to pick the part up, I didn't break it the managers at this Grease Monkey location (Alisha and James) did. I should be able to have whoever I want fix my car since managers at this business busted my tail-light "seal." They do not return calls, have not sent me the part, and have not send me a refund. Sadly, they have no care in the world for damaging paying costumers cars or lying to their faces about how the damages occurred. They haven't even tried to make it right. Do not visit THIS Grease Monkey. I visited this one on 6/2/2019 (today) for a simple oil change. It was the second time I've been to this location. My first experience here a few months ago was just alright - the oil change went well, but when the technician topped off the air in my tires, they actually let a bunch of air out of one of them. When I brought the car back around to let them know I had a tire pressure light on, they took 10 minutes to realize their error, while first telling me they couldn't help me. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and came back today for another oil change. Today, I refused replacement of my cabin and engine air filters, as I planned on doing it myself. Thankfully I had, because I wouldn't have otherwise popped the hood on my car this afternoon an hour and a half after I had left the Grease Monkey to find that the cap for my coolant had been left off. So as I'd run around today doing errands, coolant spilled out of my car and all over the engine. I put the cap back on, and when I went to drive back down to the Grease Monkey which was only 3-4 miles away, my engine overheated and I got stranded on the side of the road. I had to call a tow truck, and by that time, that Grease Monkey had closed. So I had my car towed to a different location in Littleton, who thankfully took care of me. All in all, they found the following: 1) the coolant cap had been left off, allowing most of the fluid to leak out 2) the oil light notification had not been cleared by the other shop 3) when they took my cabin air filter out to show me, they did not assemble my glove box back correctly 4) they had suggested a synthetic blend of oil that is NOT recommended for my car This could have caused significant damage to my vehicle, and it certainly cost me money for a tow and several hours wasted. Anyway - I've had nothing but bad experiences at this location. Even the carnation on your dashboard they leave after service isn't good enough for me to keep coming back. I got an oil change from Jiffy Lube a week ago. My car started leaking oil. I returned to J.L. so they could fix it. They told me my transmission was leaking and it would be a 5-10 hour job. So I went to Grease Monkey, at this point my oil alarm was going off. The wonderful staff took my car right away. They found the problem, my oil filter was never tightened from the oil change and the oil was leaking everywhere and completely empty. My engine could have blown, ruined my car, and potentially caused an accident. Alicia Jones, the General Manager, was extremely knowledgeable and helpful, as was the entire staff. They were all so glad that they were able to help. At the end of this ordeal, they placed a lovely rose on my dash and gave me a few coupons for next time. DON'T COME HERE IF YOU'RE A FEMALE I took my car in for a standard oil change and when they finished they informed me that the oil cap was broken and told me that it was broken when I had brought in, so I went to O'Reilly's across the street to buy a new cap and they informed me that Grease Monkey had definitely broken it because the mechanic had used the wrong tool. They took advantage of me being a female by myself. THIS ISN'T OKAY. It isn't okay to lie about breaking something in my car, own up to it and fix the mistake. I have been taking my Toyota for oil change for years in this location. Recently, I wanted to check brake and took the car to brake service shop (Franklyn Auto Repair) when the shop manager asked me if I wanted to have oil change done as well. I authorized to change the oil as well while the car is in the shop, but it was a mistake. The Franklyn manager informed me that the car is no longer drivable. They could not fill oil as a drain plug had severe damage and need to replace oil pan. It could cost unexpected expenses. There have been no oil leaks since I had last oil change at the Grease Monkey, and the car was drivable and fine till I took it to the shop. It was obvious to me that they screwed up in the process of oil change. I was so unhappy and explained the situation to a manager at Grease Monkey who gave me some advice. The advice was to have them (Franklyn Auto Repair shop) put in a temporary plug and bring them to the Grease Monkey and therefore towing is unnecessary. In taking the manager's advice, I took the car to the Grease Monkey where they replaced the old oil pan with new and changed oil as well with NO CHARGES. My wife and I are so happy with their professionalism and services. read more

I've been going to this grease monkey for years. Always happy, but this time not so much. Apparently a new owner. No more carnations on the dash, but more importantly, they came in with a whole page of stuff I should do. When I told the gal I had a couple of the mentioned things done within the last year she said it was just a printout from the internet...she also told me I was low on radiator fluid and it would be $5 to top off. I declined saying that was something I could do (more on this below). Then Instead of bringing the truck around ( w/ flower on dash), they had me go in the work bay to show me all things were closed and new, full oil installed...I've never had to do this, and personally had never had a problem, but apparently someone had if they had to "prove" all done...got in and drove out of the bay at the direction of the technician only to find, as I pulled out into traffic, a light was on on my dash. They had engaged and not disengaged the parking brake ( thankfully that's all it was!). But here's the final straw as to why I will never go back; I bought antifreeze, and after the truck cooled, I opened the hood to top off as they advised, and it was full!!! I will say the gal taking "care" of me was polite, nice & friendly ( The tech not so much), but this was a very uncomfortable, Suspicious experience and I will never trust this company again! read more

Typical of other people's experience at the Grease Monkey chains, they seek consent but not informed consent. We brought our Accord Crosstour in today which needs synthetic oil. Most shops charge $60 for the oil change. This one started at $80. Too expensive but we knew that going in. Typical air filter changes are $10 a piece. They tried to charge $40 EACH. We had them pull it out. There are several other places near by that are cheaper and more transparent. Go there. We will not be returning. Too bad. It was the closest place for us and we could have done grocery shopping while we waited. read more

I usually go here for my routine oil changes. I do like the fact that they check and fill fluids, vacuum, wash windows, fill tires, and checks belts as part of the oil change. They have a nice waiting area that usually is stocked with snacks and magazines. They are a bit pushy with the additional services they offer. I understand they are just trying to increase their revenue, but if I need anything done other than a basic oil change, I'm going to my trusted mechanic and not getting it done here. Came in to get my oil changed and the staff went above and beyond to help me out with several other issues as well. They fixed my trunk latch that wouldn't lock and even helped with my taillight fuse that broke and replaced the bulb. I felt like I had a totally different car leaving, and they didn't overcharge me for the extra work. They truly know the importance of customer service and I was out of there on a Monday morning after only 30 min after all that extra work. I took my van here a week ago for a oil change and I had them replace a head light. I would not bring my van here again. Last night I pulled a wheel off to check my brake pads. You can tell they didn't put grease in the ball joints the Grease Zirks were crusted over and the bolt to the transfer case bolt looks brand-new like it never had a wrench on it. So they couldn't of check the fluid in it. Also they said they vacuumed it out and you could tell they didn't. Their biggest thing was to sell me a air filter and to have them change my transfer case oil. read more

1 Star is too generous of a rating. I took my Audi in for an oil change, despite the fact the last time I used Grease Monkey, they stripped the oil cap and told me it was my responsibility to go buy a new one. I thought I'd give them another chance. Big mistake! This time, after the oil was changed, the oil change light was still on. I brought this to the attention of the employee, who told me they couldn't turn the light off and said I needed to go to the dealership. The dealership was only a few blocks away, so reluctantly, I went to the dealership. They charged me $40 to turn the light off. I went back to Grease Monkey and requested they refund me $40. I spoke to the manager who refused to refund $40. He said I should have told someone there at Grease Monkey and they would have turned the oil light off. I told him I did tell the employee, who then sent me to the dealership. He said I didn't tell him and the employee was wrong. I again asked for a $40 refund since his employee was not properly trained. The manager again refused to give me the partial refund for $40, even after I showed him the receipt from the dealership charging me $40. I will never go to another Grease Monkey again. Was $40 really worth them losing a customer for life? This place sucks. read more
