They referred us to the Kia dealer, which I knew would be very expensive. So I did some research online and found Franklynn Automotive. I called and described the situation to Steve. He said they likely can handle it, but would start with a complimentary second opinion. After their inspection, they determined that the hose does not need to be replaced and we only needed to refresh the refrigerant, which they do have the equipment for. In addition, the reason the other shop might have suggested the hose replacement was because of a leak related to the axel. All in, the repairs would be substantially less than the dealer quote for work that may not have been needed in the first place. Overall, great experience with Franklynn.

He was the reason I wanted to get the suspension serviced here as his explanation of what I needed done showed his mastery of his craft. However after taking the car to Tesla to get a 2nd opinion I discovered that this shop (not the tech) was trying to charge me literally a 200% markup on the parts to do the repair. Crazy right!!! The genuine Tesla parts for the repair were $209 and these guys quoted those same parts out to $614 (I sent him the estimate from Tesla with the exact cost of the parts). Unfortunately for me Tesla wouldn't work on the car because of an aftermarket body kit the previous owner had installed. I really liked the mechanic at this shop, so I went back to this shop with the intention to move forward even though their cost was literally 56% more ($1,635 vs $2,555) then Tesla for the same work (because of the price gouging on the parts). Then when I asked about it before my approval to move forward the manager got snarky and said how would you expect us to stay in business if we don't markup the parts. I said and I quote "I get a markup on the parts and your high hourly rate for the labor on the work but not a 200% markup on the parts." The guy gave an excuse about the software they use but was unwilling to budge on the price gouging. I literally said why don't you let me buy the parts directly from Tesla and you can still mark them up 25% and he still said no. I was completely professional throughout the conversation, but obviously would not pay a 200% markup on parts on top of the already top of market labor they charge. After the conversation he texted me back and we agreed to not move forward. I only leave this review to warn others. It's a bad business practice to over charge people like that and so I just wanted to give people my story warning them to watch out and be careful before doing any work here. Update: this slime ball's disclosure of all the information I gave his manager, Steve, in good faith is abhorrent. Everything he mentioned on the car was told to them right up front as I told it to the manager, Steve, in person and this clown is repeating word for word what I told his manager. I was cool with this at first but this guy is a complete scum bag now using my own words and lying about it. Anyways besides being a scum bag, no effort at all was made regarding the parts and this shops 200% markup. I literally told the guy running the shop I would buy the parts myself and let them mark it up 25% and still the answer was a quick no. Everything I said was honest and accurate and don't appreciate this guy claiming transparency when his long shpeel was essentially just a my own words complaining about the car I bought and his shops poor excuse for price gauging. They could have done the job without gauging me on the price given I had the option to buy the parts myself. Not cool at all the response from this guy and his piss poor excuse for attempting to rip me off.

Afterward, I was told the car had multiple oil and coolant leaks and was quoted an additional $3,500 for repairs. On a car worth about $4,000, this didn't make financial sense. When I declined the extensive repairs, there was no discussion of smaller, interim solutions or things I could try myself; the only suggestion was financing the full amount. The immediate next step was being asked to retrieve my vehicle. The shop was extremely busy, and I left with the impression that they prioritize large, high-cost jobs. Disappointed with the experience and lack of flexible solutions, I will not be returning. Update to my previous review: It's been two weeks since I picked up my vehicle, and I have not observed any oil on my driveway. This seems inconsistent with what I was told about the severity of the oil leak issue during my visit. I have checked the oil level multiple times and it appears to remain at the same level. After posting my initial review, I received several phone calls from the shop owner requesting that I modify my review. I eventually asked that these calls stop. Service details: I paid $180 for initial diagnostics, during which I was told there was an 80% probability that the problem was my battery cables. I then paid $235.19 for new battery cables, but it did not resolve the issue. A subsequent diagnosis costing $359.98 identified a bad ground wire, which was then repaired by tapping in a new wire. Additional observations from my service experience: When I collected my vehicle, I noticed what appeared to be a black, grease-like substance on the exterior door handle that was not present when I dropped it off. I also discovered that the front emblem was no longer attached to my vehicle. When I inquired about this inside the shop, staff located the emblem and handed it to me and told me it fell off when they closed the hood. I check my fluids every month, this has never happened to me. There was no offer to repair the damage.

I asked when I called, and on 3 subsequent calls , if they had all of the parts. I would need to leave my car for the day and they'd give me a loaner. When I dropped off the car. They said it'd be ready by 4:00. The service advisor was Candace. She was extremely rude when going over the rules of the loaner. She never went over the recall items. Told me how much I'd be charged if I broke any of the rules. I called at 3:30 to ask if it was ready- nope. They didn't have the parts. It would be the next day. I am self employed, I own a pet business and have dog crates in my car 24/7. I had to empty everything out for this appointment. And I had to get everything put back inside once I had my car back. I explained that they were costing me income- she didn't care. She blamed everyone else for the mistake. I went to pick it up at 11:00 the next day. After receiving a text to make sure the gas tank was exactly as full as when I picked it up. She threw my key at the guy next to her so he could take payment. He took payment, didn't explain any of the work done and took me to my car. Candace did say one thing- where are the keys for the loaner? I also had them do an oil change, I did get a message from the service guy that the air filter needs to be replaced. I authorized that but never heard back. Hopefully the oil change and all of the recall work was done. They did charge an extra $30 labor to replace the filter, which is odd since they had it out for the video they sent. I did call and leave a message with the service manager, and so far he has not returned the call. Candace may want to rethink the customer service role, as it was not at all important. It seems that getting as much $$ from the customer is the big priority. Why be nice for recall work since you don't make $$. Unfortunately for McDonald Hyundai, when I replace this car, hopefully with a Santa Fe, I will not purchase it from them. All they had to do was honor their word. Nope. Extremely bad customer service!!!! I with I could choose no stars.

A couple of weeks later, McDonald VW completed some recall work on the car and reported that the transmission was leaking. They recommended that XYZ be done to the car. I quickly called Platinum Auto, and Trent immediately offered to have me bring the car back in so they could put it back on the lift and inspect it. I brought the car in, and they immediately put it on the lift for inspection. They quickly alleviated my concerns when they told me the transmission wasn't leaking at all. Trent even took the time to watch the video McDonald sent me and almost laughed at what they were trying to claim was a transmission leak. I will certainly continue to come back.

My son and his fiance were coming to town, and I didn't want to pick them up with a grinding noise under the hood, or to have the flap fall off and get lost. The next morning I had to be downtown at 9:00 am, after which I would need the car all day. So I showed up 7:00 a.m. at a repair shop I'd used before. I didn't expect they could fix it on the spot, but hoped they could at least diagnose the problem and remove the flap so I could save it. But they couldn't even look at it until the afternoon. Rushing over, I made by 7:15 it to Town Center Auto Repair, where Tommy, the owner, helped me out. The mechanic already on duty was busy, but when Josh, a second mechanic, arrived at 7:30,Tommy put him right on it. After inspecting it, Josh set to work and quickly welded it back together. I made that 9:00 appointment on time, with the car all fixed and ready for my family. Thanks to Tommy and Josh, I didn't have to wait or spend extra money on a replacement part. Kudos to them both!

This is just sad and I feel bad for innocent consumers who get ripped off like this.

Then , spoke with the manager at Discount, who stayed on the phone after their closing time. He gave great advice and told me I had a warranty on two of the tires on my car. When I went in to the store this morning (Belleview & Santa Fe) I expected to pay about $900. I left spending $550. These folks found every discount I could claim, and truthfully, I would not have known the difference. This included credits for tires which did not wear according to the initial warranty. I was in and out within one hour. Everyone was pleasant and efficient. Yes I purchased the extra warranty. It paid for itself previously.

So, I called a friend of mine who lives in Littleton and asked where I should go for tire repair. Now, I'm sure you're wondering why I didn't just ask said local friend for help. Well, I was meeting him later in the week at Estes Park for an event and he had already left the area and to ask him to return would have not been considerate to him as the event was a business event and he was there to make money. He highly recommended Plus One and told me who to ask for at the front desk. I followed his advice. It turned out my tire had a nail in it. The tire was patched for a reasonable $40 and put back on. I expressed my sincere thanks and was soon back on my way. I saved Plus One's information, and if I'm ever back in Denver and have a tire issue, I'll definitely return! Highly recommended! The staff was great, and the lobby was nice. I passed the time on a very comfortable leather couch. I would absolutely do business here again and will recommend them to anyone in the Littleton/Denver area who needs tire repair.

All our cars are high mileage and therefore frequently need repairs and maintenance. I started taking the car I drive to Pride simply because they were close by and I desperately needed to get my car running again. That was two or three years ago. It was one of the best dumb luck decisions I have ever made. They are knowledgeable and honest. Once they diagnose the problem and give a repair estimate, they have never called back to say the repair will cost more than they initially thought. In fact on several occasions I have come in to pick up one the cars and found they were able to make the repair for less than the estimate. That has never happened at any other auto repair shop. Today, my car wouldn't start, I had no warning at all and I was stuck several miles from their shop. The tow truck driver managed to get me running and followed me over to the shop. I dropped off my car off around noon and had it back by 4:30. The found the problem and promptly fixed it. The cost of the repair was so low that I will not even mention it here. I will say the cost of the repair was less than I paid the last happy meal I bought my daughter. Based on my experience with Pride Auto Care I will not be taking any of our cars anywhere else. read more

I give 10 Stars to Pride Auto Care! Top notch service and expertise. This summer they installed an awesome clutch for my car and she drives better then ever! Great prices and a fantastic warranty to boot. The Gentleman that work there are the perfect combination of professional, knowledgable and friendly. I am so relieved to have found the perfect "Doctor" for my baby :) I love that they are a family owned business.. they definitely take "pride" in great service, so the name really fits. Pride Auto Care, Littleton, was recommended by a friend, and now I am recommending them to you. It's hard to know whom to trust in the automobile servicing industry, and Pride has proven to me that they are the best. Their people are respectful, professional, knowledgeable and as good as their word. On Labor Day, when the recently installed clutch failed on my 100,000-mile+ Subaru, and the car became immobilized, I sadly called AAA to tow the vehicle to Pride. Tuesday morning they said they'd see whether the clutch was the problem, and not some other issue. It was the clutch, and Pride replaced it, under warranty, in about 24 hours. They even sent an Uber driver to bring me to the repair shop so I could reunite with my car. Happy day! Bottom line: I give Pride Auto Care five stars. read more

This morning while I was running errands, a pin fell off of my skid plate, disconnecting it from the drivers side of my car. I called them, wondering if it was safe to drive and asked if they had any time to take a look at it. They told me to bring the car in and they'd be sure to see what they could do, and identify the problem. They were incredibly efficient, and had me in and out in about twenty minutes to continue on with my day! They've helped me in the past, as well, and were very helpful then as well. With as efficient and polite as everyone always is, there is really nowhere else that I'd rather take my business. Thanks guys!! read more

I don't write reviews. I do not even consider this. These guys are incredible. A great find to say the least. I have a Jeep Liberty and after 100k there are bound to be "issues"....this is a great place to know that you will get a fair, honest deal. If you need a rental, go over to the Enterprise place across the street and mention Pride..they are great as well and will give discounts for using Pride...I don't endorse in my industry because I work for Schwab and there is nobody better...but for my Dollar....Pride Auto Care is the best in our region hands down. read more

As always, the team at Pride was courteous and efficient. I like their new text approval for any additional service not discussed at drop off. They went above and beyond by following up with a call to verify that I wanted the extra work done, and to give me an estimate of time to completion. The most helpful thing however, came when I was delayed picking the car up. I called and Heath assured me he would wait until I got there. Due to a series of events, he waited almost an HOUR for me to arrive, and was gracious and good humored when I got there.Outstanding! read more

I have been going to this Pride for several years. They have always been very fair. If I take in my car to have something looked at, but I am not sure what this issue might be, if they can't find anything after they take a look at it and access they won't charge me anything. Not even for their time. I am very particular with my car. I only take it to the Audi dealership or to Pride. read more

They were very professional and gave me choices with accurate estimates of the cost before proceeding. I thought their prices were very fair for the work that was involved. This is for Jody. My batter went dead at work six months ago. I begged him to wait for me to get my SUV to this shop. He did. Today the vehicle wouldn't start again. I got it jumped and went back. Took my Audi to these guys last week on a referral from a friend. I have just died and gone to heaven!!!! Dealership told me $3,700 for engine work.. Pride Auto found a bad connector that was sending bad information to the computer. Total fix $200. I love these guys!!!! read more

I could have easily taken my vehicle elsewhere or at the very least not had an employee having to run me around all day as I could have just got the truck back. Poor communication and poor service. With 3 other tire shops in the vicinity I'd give this place a miss.

Afterward, I was told the car had multiple oil and coolant leaks and was quoted an additional $3,500 for repairs. On a car worth about $4,000, this didn't make financial sense. When I declined the extensive repairs, there was no discussion of smaller, interim solutions or things I could try myself; the only suggestion was financing the full amount. The immediate next step was being asked to retrieve my vehicle. The shop was extremely busy, and I left with the impression that they prioritize large, high-cost jobs. Disappointed with the experience and lack of flexible solutions, I will not be returning. Update to my previous review: It's been two weeks since I picked up my vehicle, and I have not observed any oil on my driveway. This seems inconsistent with what I was told about the severity of the oil leak issue during my visit. I have checked the oil level multiple times and it appears to remain at the same level. After posting my initial review, I received several phone calls from the shop owner requesting that I modify my review. I eventually asked that these calls stop. Service details: I paid $180 for initial diagnostics, during which I was told there was an 80% probability that the problem was my battery cables. I then paid $235.19 for new battery cables, but it did not resolve the issue. A subsequent diagnosis costing $359.98 identified a bad ground wire, which was then repaired by tapping in a new wire. Additional observations from my service experience: When I collected my vehicle, I noticed what appeared to be a black, grease-like substance on the exterior door handle that was not present when I dropped it off. I also discovered that the front emblem was no longer attached to my vehicle. When I inquired about this inside the shop, staff located the emblem and handed it to me and told me it fell off when they closed the hood. I check my fluids every month, this has never happened to me. There was no offer to repair the damage.

This review is based directly on what is documented on the invoices…read more A senior family member brought her vehicle in for a check-engine light and a coolant leak. Per the invoice, she was charged $164.89 for check-engine light concerns and $98.00 for a cooling system pressure test, totaling $290.14, which she paid. The cooling system pressure test to identify a leak was reasonable and not disputed. However, the invoice also documents deferred/declined services totaling $3,289.48. These included extensive recommended repairs that were declined after review. Notably, the invoice states the alternator was not charging and was not repaired, yet a full check-engine diagnosis was still performed and billed. Diagnosing electronic engine and transmission faults while the charging system is inoperative results in unstable system voltage and unreliable fault codes. In addition, a battery was installed without authorization. The invoices show the battery initially quoted at $260, later reduced to $160 without a warranty, and only after objection was it ultimately provided at no charge because the original battery had already been discarded. I expect better authorization practices, transparency, and diagnostic standards -- especially when working with senior citizens who rely on a shop's guidance. Based on what is documented on the invoices and the amount of declined work presented, I cannot recommend this location. We are asking for a refund of the 164.89

Care is always attentive with explanations to a "Car Idiot" which would be myself. Their dignoises are spot on; often with very creative ideas, adding a belt to bypass an extremely repair, more than my "Rudi" Toyota Scion is worth. The offices are always "Clean" and the Car Bays are always full, yet they find the time to get most everyone in and out on a more than timely basis. Beyond Car Services with reasonable prices and a continuous flow of returning to new customers, the personal service is impecable! The sitting room is Clean, serving coffee and fresh water, plus WiFi and a TV if one is interested. This is a Team who share the responsibility of any given vehicle entering their lot! These days getting there is a bit out of my way, and I will NOT go to any other place, for Midas Team on South Broadway are to be fully trusted and knowledgeable regarding all cars including Hybrid and Electric. I had taken my car to another local mechanic to diagnose a problem with the air conditioner. They referred us to the Kia dealer, which I knew would be very expensive. So I did some research online and found Franklynn Automotive. I called and described the situation to Steve. He said they likely can handle it, but would start with a complimentary second opinion. After their inspection, they determined that the hose does not need to be replaced and we only needed to refresh the refrigerant, which they do have the equipment for. In addition, the reason the other shop might have suggested the hose replacement was because of a leak related to the axel. All in, the repairs would be substantially less than the dealer quote for work that may not have been needed in the first place. Overall, great experience with Franklynn.

Went here to get suspension work done on my Tesla. Overall the vibe was friendly and the mechanic…read morethey had look at my car seemed to be top notch. He was the reason I wanted to get the suspension serviced here as his explanation of what I needed done showed his mastery of his craft. However after taking the car to Tesla to get a 2nd opinion I discovered that this shop (not the tech) was trying to charge me literally a 200% markup on the parts to do the repair. Crazy right!!! The genuine Tesla parts for the repair were $209 and these guys quoted those same parts out to $614 (I sent him the estimate from Tesla with the exact cost of the parts). Unfortunately for me Tesla wouldn't work on the car because of an aftermarket body kit the previous owner had installed. I really liked the mechanic at this shop, so I went back to this shop with the intention to move forward even though their cost was literally 56% more ($1,635 vs $2,555) then Tesla for the same work (because of the price gouging on the parts). Then when I asked about it before my approval to move forward the manager got snarky and said how would you expect us to stay in business if we don't markup the parts. I said and I quote "I get a markup on the parts and your high hourly rate for the labor on the work but not a 200% markup on the parts." The guy gave an excuse about the software they use but was unwilling to budge on the price gouging. I literally said why don't you let me buy the parts directly from Tesla and you can still mark them up 25% and he still said no. I was completely professional throughout the conversation, but obviously would not pay a 200% markup on parts on top of the already top of market labor they charge. After the conversation he texted me back and we agreed to not move forward. I only leave this review to warn others. It's a bad business practice to over charge people like that and so I just wanted to give people my story warning them to watch out and be careful before doing any work here. Update: this slime ball's disclosure of all the information I gave his manager, Steve, in good faith is abhorrent. Everything he mentioned on the car was told to them right up front as I told it to the manager, Steve, in person and this clown is repeating word for word what I told his manager. I was cool with this at first but this guy is a complete scum bag now using my own words and lying about it. Anyways besides being a scum bag, no effort at all was made regarding the parts and this shops 200% markup. I literally told the guy running the shop I would buy the parts myself and let them mark it up 25% and still the answer was a quick no. Everything I said was honest and accurate and don't appreciate this guy claiming transparency when his long shpeel was essentially just a my own words complaining about the car I bought and his shops poor excuse for price gauging. They could have done the job without gauging me on the price given I had the option to buy the parts myself. Not cool at all the response from this guy and his piss poor excuse for attempting to rip me off.

They do amazing work and are always upfront with the repairs or maintenance needed. I've never had a problem and they take care of all my cars, including my in-laws cars and my moms. The front desk crew and the techs are always willing to answer questions. And they have a female at the front to make us girls feel at ease.

I am an elderly person who was taken advantage of by Toy Car Care! My experience with Toy Car Care…read morewas one of the worst experiences I have ever had and I would suggest you run far away from this place because they hold your vehicle hostage and keep changing the repair price until you pay what they want. In my opinion, they have violated many parts of the Colorado Motor Vehicle Repair act and I am considering pursuing legal actions against them. I initially brought the vehicle in after being quoted $850 for the repair. After having the car towed to their shop, I was effectively told that diagnostics were required before they would proceed. At no point was I given a clear timeline for when the vehicle would be returned, and there was little transparency throughout the process. The estimate then increased to approximately $1,200, only to eventually become $1,629, including vague charges for "shop supplies." The amount seemed to change repeatedly, and I never received a clear written estimate explaining the escalating charges. The receptionist is the rudest person alive, who screams at you when you call to check on the status of your car. Steve, the manager, had nothing to say about this "sliding scale" pricing and disrespectful behavior. What is most concerning is that Toy Car Care allegedly obtained authorization through my son rather than from me, the vehicle owner and paying customer, which is also not permitted under law. I never received a written estimate, only verbal discussions that kept changing and were relayed through my son, who is not the owner of the car. Colorado's Motor Vehicle Repair Act requires repair facilities to provide estimates and obtain proper customer authorization before performing repairs. See C.R.S. § 42-9-104 (consent and estimate requirements) and§ 42-9-105 (additional repairs requiring customer consent). I never received a written estimate, did not authorize this repair beyond $850 and did not give consent for a third party to act on my behalf. What began as an approximately $850 repair became a $1,629 bill for an elderly person through a series of escalating charges, verbal estimates, and alleged authorizations that were never properly obtained from me. Once the vehicle was in their possession, it felt like we had no meaningful choice but to keep paying as the numbers continued to climb. The entire experience left us feeling misled, pressured, and taken advantage of. I would never trust this Toy Car Care with another vehicle and would strongly caution others to look elsewhere, especially if you are a senior!
