TERRIBLE experience. They were rude, kept my car for 5 minutes and DID NOT REFILL MY FLUIDS, including the oil I paid $100 for. I don't know who manages this place, but this location is a scam. I went a couple weeks ago, and I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt, and not leave a review. Then my girlfriend went a couple days again, and her oil light went on. THEY DID NOT CHANGE MY OIL AND THEY DID NOT REPLACE MY AIR FILTER although they charged me $150. My brother is a mechanic and he checked my oil less than a week later. He ended up draining my oil, and the oil was thick and dark brown. He ended up changing the oil and replacing my air filter himself. When we called to inquire, customer service absolutely sucked and not apologetic at all. To top it off, they scratched the leather on my seats and steering wheel. Twelve stars! I'm that person who knows nothing about cars and is always worried I'm going to get taken for a ride. Fortunately, I chose this particular GreaseMonkey, and David, the manager, is an epic human. He explained the different types of oil without pushing me in a particular direction. Gave me a heads up that my brake pads were on their way out (even though that's not a service they offer), and when I asked about my filters, he said they were a "7" and showed them to me. Went to get an oil change today, I made sure to read the manual for my car before so I knew what type of oil my car needed. I told the guy I just needed conventional. He stated "I will not put anything in your car that's not synthetic or the top" I argued with him for a few minutes then finally gave in because I was in a hurry. The company wants to get you in the door I get that but 94.00 for synthetic oil??! Hell a regular oil change cost 52.48 after tax for economy oil which they say only last 2000 miles. Well heres a little news for you economy oil is good to 5000 to 7500! BUYER BEWARE! You say your synthetic oil at the GM is only 7500 to 9000 miles. Heres part 2: Synthetic oil is good to 10,000 up to around 15,000 miles depending on how much you drive! . Id also love to point out that the oil that was put into my car is still rather dirty due to the smell , color, and taste, or you guys use a low quality brand of oil that you charge people 45.00 for. Changed my car oil like I normally do but while driving around for errands I began to lose oil fast. The combination of my loose air filter and bolt left me stranded. As a last ditch effort I walked over to this shop and asked if they were willing to take a quick look. The gentlemen there were super helpful and got me back on the road in no time. I went in with hopes of getting an oil change. I entered the foyer where no associates were to be found. Even In tge service bay no one was in there. I found this very odd. Another customer came and lo and behold they git into that car. But. No one came to help me. After waiting in the foyer for over 10 minutes, I decided to leave. Only then did two guys peek their heads out of the garage. I told them this is poor service and it appeared that they didn't want to help me. So, I am going somewhere else to get an oil change. What is the point no appointment needed if you can't get any help? I can't support a business with poor customer service.. stay away from this chain. This place is great! The staff here is polite, friendly and just all around great. They are efficient and fast, so you can get in and out with little hassle; plus there is hot coffee in the lobby while you're waiting. I have had nothing but good experiences and have been coming here since we moved to the area in 2006. For a great price, they not only change the oil, but fluids get topped, car is vacuumed, windows are washed and tires are set to the right pressure. Don't go if you have an opinion as to how they should service your car. My truck is old but the engine has less than 60K. When I had my new engine installed, the manufacturer of that engine recommended the oil be changed with synthetic at every 5000 miles. Quick, friendly, complete service, and the easiest part of maintaining my 2011 Honda Pilot! The manager, David, is easy-going and helpful.

Short version - They tried to up sell me on synthetic oil, saying it's mandatory, because of my cars original factory turbo. This was flat out false. My manual says conventional 5w30 is fine for my turbo engine, as well as the mfg and dealership saying the same thing. The dealership/mfg said synthetic would help go longer, but it's not MANDATORY. They refused to service car, unless I bought synthetic. I've been to this location once before, for a basic oil change. I went today for the same thing. They pull my car in, and I go sit in the lobby. A guy comes in saying synthetic oil is ReQuiReD for my car, because it has a factory turbo. I know for a fact that this is incorrect. The manual itself calls out and 5w30 oil, and doesn't specify synthetic. The dealership/mfg also calls out conventional 5w30. Synthetic helps, but isn't required. I ask "So you're refusing to do the oil change unless it's synthetic?", to which they basically say they can't because it has a turbo. I've worked in Tire and Lube shops when I was younger, and was also a DPS Texas State Inspector during my time at Jiffy Lube in the earlier 2000s. I feel like they were trying to up-sell to meet #s... because that's what was forced on me when I worked at a lube shop. I refused to do this, because I felt this was unethical, I always suggested only what was needed, even if my manager chewed me out for not hitting #s. Long story short, I declined synthetic, and asked they give me my car back. They gave it back, I drove to Boulder since I work there, and went to the Grease Monkey there. I asked they give me a basic oil change. They also suggested synthetic, I declined and they said they'd note I waived the suggestion. Boom basic oil change done. Things like "higher mileage" and "synthetic" oil are not mandatory. Most cars don't even suggest oil changes at 3 months or every 3000 miles. Read your manual, follow the instructions, don't get up sold. I'm not sure what this location's deal was, but I still feel strongly that I was being up sold. My manual says conventional 5w30, the mfg and dealership say 5w30, and the dealership themselves did an oil change on my car last year with conventional 5w30. I'm not sure where they got their information, but it's incorrect. Synthetic is suggested, but not MANDATORY. I won't be coming to this location again... as a matter of fact, this has cemented my decision to just buy my own jack/jackstands and start changing my own oil. If you're not familiar with vehicle maintenance, don't get conned by the folks here that will try and up sell you. It's easy to change your own oil, and air filters. I've done it in the past, but unfortunately didn't bring my tools with me from where I moved. read more

I've had five oil changes on three vehicles done at this location in 2019. Once I had a severe oil leak afterward and took it to my regular mechanic, who found the drip plug was left loose. Another time and in a different vehicle I had oil drips on my driveway a few days after Grease Monkey's work. My mechanic found the oil filter was installed with the O-ring pinched and oil had pooled in the truck's skid plate until it started to drip. 1 star might seem severe if they did OK on 3 out of 5 oil changes, but this is their whole job. read more

Best of all, they didn't try to upsell me with 47 other services that I'd rather schedule with my mechanic. Quick service, kind staff and thorough explanations of what has been done/ what needs to be done with my car. I trust their advice and appreciate their service. We were randomly driving by here and decided to make a stop for a oil change. The man who greeted us was very friendly and told us our choices for services. He never tried to pressure us into getting something that was more than we needed. They were very knowledgeable and helpful. We were in and out within 15 minutes. I felt as if the customer service was outstanding compared to other places that we've been for oil changes. Normally mechanics and other car service employees tend to be extremely short and sometimes even rude if you don't fully understand what they are talking about. They told me that I could come back for free oil change. They even through in free windshield wiper blades and air filter. Good job too. I pulled up and was promptly meet by a gentleman and here explained the different prices. It was quick and affordable. Took my Mercury Milan to have the oil changed at Grease Monkey on 120th in Broomfield. My wife was behind me so she could pull forward to a parking spot a head, as one of the service tech's jumped in the Milan to pull in the garage, my wife started to pull forward to the parking spot a head. At that time the tech threw the Milan in reverse hitting my wife's new Jeep damaging the Milan and Jeep! The tech was very apologetic about the situation. I went in to talk to the assistant manager and he told me it was my wife's fault! He shrugged his shoulders like he didn't care, which he really didn't, after our cars were hit, he didn't even come out to ask if everyone was ok. He told me I have been to Grease Monkey several times! I asked him what does that have to do with anything? He just shrugged his shoulders again. The next day I got a hold of the manager and he said that he reviewed the cameras and said it was a pretty hard hit! He took my info and said that he was going to get in touch with the owner, it's been over a week and the owner still has not contacted me. I have tried several times to reach the owner Jason, it seems as if he is avoiding me! I contacted the Broomfield police department and they gave me a case number. Do not go to this Grease Monkey because obviously the owner doesn't care or wants to take responsibility for the damage done to both our vehicles! The tech should have looked before throwing the Milan into reverse. Pretty sad that nobody wants to take responsibility anymore! The owner Jason could have called me back to ask how we could take care of this, now I will take legal action! read more

I didn't have much time to wait for an oil change so we dropped off my 2011 honda civic. Came back 3 hours later to pick up the car and they said they didn't have the right filter. And would never have the right filter. For a honda civic?? In the three hours my car was at their shop, they didn't have 2 minutes to call and tell me there was a problem. Walked in on a Saturday afternoon for an oil change on a Honda, I was immediately told it would be a 45 minute wait (not terrible for the time frame.) After they gathered information from the car they came back in and began to put me in the computer. I didn't give him my address for personal reasons ( I don't like receiving junk mail), I think this agitated the man, he then asked for my phone number and I said I rather not give it. This really agitated him, he closed the program, stepped away from the computer and said "we wont be able to service your vehicle then, ill pull your car around back". I asked what he wanted my phone number for, to which he explained it was required for warranty purposes. So I cant change my oil in my car unless I own a phone? I gave it to him anyway. He then said "the only oil we have available for your car is $86.99. Your business revolves around changing oil in cars, why are you so limited on stock? I told them "in that case I will leave then". I believe they really wanted to get rid of me because they were falling behind on work and its easier to deal with less customers. Do you really want money to walk out the door? The place is a dump, small cramped waiting room that's filthy. Staff have little social skills and really give mechanics a bad rep. read more

I would give this place ZERO stars if possible!! I took my car here twice for an over priced oil change just because it was close. Later my car broke down and when I took it into the dealership that specializes in the make they told me that it didn't even look like the oil had been changed for two oil changes!! They said that the oil was very very low and that it was extremely black and tar. There was no leaks in my engine so the oil should have been full. I still had 1500 miles until my next oil change, anyone would know this is not normal. When I took my vehicle into grease monkey for the oil changes I just dropped it off so was never there to monitor if they even preformed the oil change. Had an issue with a previous oil change at this shop (it was not the store's fault, it was a faulty oil filter seal that allowed it to leak). I took it back in and they immediately fixed the problem. They also went above and beyond with a full refund of the service and free future oil change. They do not force any unnecessary products or services on the customer. read more

The best place in Broomfiels for an oil change. They are honest and on point. I was in and out in 15 minutes last week. They always treat me with respect. Vaccuumed the inside of my car. Cleaned my air filter instead of trying to sell me a new one. Topped off all tge fluids and even checked the transmission fluid. They also washed my undercarriage. Love these boys. read more

Went for an oil change while visiting from out of state. They said that they could not service the car because it's drain plug was stripped. They said that they could recommend a shop to fix it. I left, and had the oil changed in my home state. Asked them to watch for a stripped oil drain plug. They changed the oil, and found no problem. read more
