The food delivery person asked why I stopped eating and told him such. He went and got me a phone call and that's how I got out. The food deliverer is more ethical than the devils who run the place.

Including: a video of 4 deputies beating my handcuffed ass and then, surprisingly, responding to my "kite", (jail complaint form) by claiming, again, in writing, that anyone that makes a King County Jail Deputy feel disrespected, gets their ass kicked. Please let me know if you have any interest. Warning, I'm a 59 year old lawyer, never been in trouble in my life, well, until last week. Arrested and assaulted by 4 deputies on Friday, July 12, charges (burglary kitchen arranging, I'm not kidding about that) released on Saturday, charges dismissed on Tuesday. The jail will not give up the video yet, they claim its release could threaten the security of the facility. The written statement by the deputy saying they have the right to assault anyone that "disrespects" they won't give up either, but they'll have to eventually. My experience in the jail was surreal. If you say anything wrong, you get punished, delays of communication, and blistering violence. Please take a look at what I have? It's another world in there and the deputies are running the place.

Truly the unsung heroes of 3-day weekends. The check-in process? Retro chic. You gotta show up in person and buzz in like you're entering an exclusive club... if the club had bars and sadness instead of cocktails and DJs. Now, let's talk payments. No Apple Pay, no debit--strictly old-school cash vibes. I haven't touched physical money since 2019, so finding an ATM was like a scavenger hunt through the 7 circles of inconvenience. Bathroom review: 5 stars. Spotless. Seriously, I've been to brunch places that were way sketchier. I almost wanted to hang out longer just for the facilities. If they ever list this place on Airbnb, I'm booking the bathroom suite. Would I come back? Hopefully not. But if I do, I know I'll be hydrated and comfortable. Staff 10/10 love them they're like family now seriously.

I was a guest here in 2014 and had the most disturbing experience. There first night I was there I…read moremet a young girl (I would say she was in her early 20's) and she was very ill. This was her first visit to jail and, at first I thought she was dope sick (seems like everyone is the first few days in jail, sadly) but then I could tell it was something far more serious. She informed me that she needed her heart medication and they would not listen to her. I even attempted to talk to the officer to let them know what was going on but those attempt's were useless. If you've ever been to jail you know their favorite response to any need you might have is "go fill out a kite" so I showed her how to do this and I'm pretty sure that kite was never even read by the staff before the traffic turn of events. I was in the cell next to here and assured her I would be there if she needed to talk and I would do what I could to help her. During the middle of the night I was woken by the sound of a defibrillator machine. And while they had covered my cell window so I couldn't see out, it didn't take long to figure out what was going on. With tears steaming down my face, I listened to them try to get this girls heart beating for what seemed like forever. They were unsuccessful and this poor girls life was taken and it could have been prevented. I've never witnessed such inhumane treatment in my life. This girl tried to tell the staff members many times and not one of them helped her. It was in the newspaper. A short paragraph telling of a 23 year old woman who died of "natural causes". No, Pierce County, she died from your negligence and it should have never happened. I don't know if her family was ever told what really happened and it's terrifying that the jail was never held accountable. This girl was not a druggie and was not trying to get drugs to get high or something. She was begging for someone to listen to her and give her the heart medication she needed. Not one person there had the human decency to help her.

Aside from the horrifying filthy conditions and sickening food (cold hot dogs in a cold bun, brown…read morelettuce etc). You are in a 4x9 cement cell most of the 24 hour day. If you need medication forget it. You will slowly deteriorate until some power hungry guard thinks you are "misbehaving"and either hits you or drags you to "solitary..or more likely, both. And if you have/need glasses to see and function forget that too. Rather be dead than in this hellhole.

On his first court date I…read moreattended, there was a nice lady to check you in and guide you to where you needed to be, she even walked us there. My son has told me he never wants to go back but that he will miss the staff and some kids he met there. When I went to visit, I could sit right by him and rub his back... I felt sad for my son but knew he was facing his consequences there. It seemed low key during visiting but i don't know how he felt when he had to go back to where he came from. Another positive I noticed was he was attending school inside the facility.

The process of scheduling, checking-in, and service were all outstanding. The person who completed the paperwork, took our photos, fees, etc., was helpful, friendly and efficient.
