There are already housing codes in place to protect and keep everyone safe. Call in a complaint and code enforcement can inspect the living conditions and force the landlord to make corrects or suffer fines. Other cities with similar registrations always increase fees and have yearly inspections where inspectors are paid several hundred dollars, but never inspect the homes. Hence, the provable corruption.

I would have paid $5.00 for just the sandwich because it was absolutely smoked to perfection!!! I didn't try the salad, it looked soggy and I was full from the brisket sandwich! I picked up their flyer and business card because I would definitely hire them to cater an event for me!

Straddling Boston Harbor Road, the park has a bridge that connects both sides of the sprawling property. On the East side of the park, you immediately feel like you've driven into a forest. Big and old trees line the park roadway. Several picnic areas are available, I assume by reservation, at least for the covered areas. I found a restroom building and took advantage. This place is well maintained. More picnic areas. Nd two more restroom buildings are on the West side of the park, and so is the Sound. Lots more parking, and a kids playground. Squaxin has something for everyone. Lots of hiking paths on both sides of the park that are now on my to do list. Squaxin is an oasis in Olympia!

I have…read morelived in this area for many years, have heard of and seen this park as we've been around town, but never actually visited. I can confidently say that after being there yesterday that my boys and I will be back! I decided on taking the kids there because I was looking for a new playground space. We had usually gone to other parks/playgrounds and we were all getting a wee bit tired of the same old, same old. I showed the pictures of the playground to the kids and they thought it looked fun too. We went there and were pleasantly surprised at what all else they had to do. The playground itself has a big toy that's shaped like a large ship, which they had fun playing on. However, it was the walking trails and beach access that they enjoyed the most. The trails are partly paved and partly unpaved (so do remember to wear your boots). They lead you through the woods, along and close to various benches and covered pavilions, and down the hills to the beach. The trail hills are not that steep, so it's doable and not extremely strenuous (my 6 year old made it around easily - and the 3 year old mostly was good ... just got tired near the end, after a couple of hours of walking and playing). The best part of the walk was getting down to the beach! It's a beautiful view and very easy to walk around. Hard-packed sand, shells, and flat made for a nice walk. Because of all the recent rain, it was a wee bit sloppy; but fun. My kids had a wonderful time walking/running around and watching the water, looking for shells, and just being kids! We felt very safe there and I never felt like I needed to be "on guard" like at some parks. Overall, the park is large enough to spend a couple of hours there, and yet small enough to not get lost of feel overwhelmed with the number and length of the trails. I asked the kids if they had fun and would want to come back again. They both immediately said yes to both questions. There you have it. We'll be back!!

Absolutly terrible service for a goverment enity that serves the public…read more Sitting in a court room for 90 + minutes without any type of explanation as to why no one has appeared to explain the incrediable delay. I asked the Door attendant and was informed waiting was part of the process and that they were holding another court next door. And that when they were done the judge would be over. I said would be nice if Someone bothered to let all the people sitting in the courtroom know. Really told to be here at 9am....???????

It was a beautiful and stately building. My office was near the chambers of the Chief Justice and next to the office of Slade Gorton, then Attorney General. It was very close to the main reading room of the Washington State Law Library.

Security was seen walking the docks regularly. Like other marinas, Swantown has a bit of a derelict vessel problem. There are some that need to be moved out of guest moorage, however this did not impact our enjoyable stay. Price was a bit expensive, but certainly doable. Stay in channel when approaching east or west waterways.

Doyou know how fun it is to watch Shakespeare as the dark slowly creeps, eating a subway sandwich, with your pups as they look longingly at the bunnies in the distance. You need to do this. Parking is easy and soemthing like 30 feet away from the meadow, there are big trees to give you shade in the heat where the plays are held, so you have no excuses.

Luckily it was one of the few days of sunshine and good weather in WA, so I could enjoy laying in the grass. There is something here for everyone. BBQ grills, rugby/soccer fields, baseball/softball fields, basketball courts, trails, doggie doo bags, public restrooms, sand volleyball courts, tennis courts, picnic shelters, child & toddler playgrounds and a skate park. It's very well kept and still looks brand new even though it's been around since 2004 I believe. Check this place out before summer is over.

I love going to City Hall!…read more Of course, I'm just going there for permits and things (nothing sexy). But everyone is extremely good at their jobs. Staff is friendly. Everything is efficient, streamlined, and as long as you have all of your things in hand you can usually get your permits issued on the spot. You can pay with your credit or debit card. Just fill out the necessary paperwork and you're off to the races! Most questions are answered right there. Dealing with city hall is a breeze! Oly, you're a bright spot. Don't change a thing.

But as its settled in, and gotten kids pictures in the windows, and hanging flower baskets, and just a little more worn around the edges, its become better. I was NOT happy when they made the homeless kids not sleep there late at night/ early in the morning - they were gathering there to be safe and to avoid the unhealthier parts of homeless life! But the city has since funded some shelter beds for specifically the young adults. Yay, go Olympia! The front desk people here are very funny and I always enjoy interacting with them. :)
