I was a guest here in 2014 and had the most disturbing experience. There first night I was there I…read moremet a young girl (I would say she was in her early 20's) and she was very ill. This was her first visit to jail and, at first I thought she was dope sick (seems like everyone is the first few days in jail, sadly) but then I could tell it was something far more serious. She informed me that she needed her heart medication and they would not listen to her. I even attempted to talk to the officer to let them know what was going on but those attempt's were useless. If you've ever been to jail you know their favorite response to any need you might have is "go fill out a kite" so I showed her how to do this and I'm pretty sure that kite was never even read by the staff before the traffic turn of events. I was in the cell next to here and assured her I would be there if she needed to talk and I would do what I could to help her. During the middle of the night I was woken by the sound of a defibrillator machine. And while they had covered my cell window so I couldn't see out, it didn't take long to figure out what was going on. With tears steaming down my face, I listened to them try to get this girls heart beating for what seemed like forever. They were unsuccessful and this poor girls life was taken and it could have been prevented. I've never witnessed such inhumane treatment in my life. This girl tried to tell the staff members many times and not one of them helped her. It was in the newspaper. A short paragraph telling of a 23 year old woman who died of "natural causes". No, Pierce County, she died from your negligence and it should have never happened. I don't know if her family was ever told what really happened and it's terrifying that the jail was never held accountable. This girl was not a druggie and was not trying to get drugs to get high or something. She was begging for someone to listen to her and give her the heart medication she needed. Not one person there had the human decency to help her.

Aside from the horrifying filthy conditions and sickening food (cold hot dogs in a cold bun, brown…read morelettuce etc). You are in a 4x9 cement cell most of the 24 hour day. If you need medication forget it. You will slowly deteriorate until some power hungry guard thinks you are "misbehaving"and either hits you or drags you to "solitary..or more likely, both. And if you have/need glasses to see and function forget that too. Rather be dead than in this hellhole.

One fellow inmate was left in the holding cells over 24 hours they just forgot about him or something. When I was supposed to be released they got me mixed up and brought me to the waiting room to see a Judge, then they realized I was in the wrong room and the took me to release. Then during release it was shift change so they already had like 12 of us in the waiting room to leave dressed in our civilian clothes but would not let us leave because someone had to sign off on us leaving. The Jail was filthy in comparison to other I have been in, the CO's were abrasive unhelpful and unwilling to answer questions. Forms to make request were not stocked and writing utensils were not made available to fill them out. Vegetarian options were offered for food and sleeping quarters were cramped/ poor implimentation of bed placement. Beds are just part of the building no cushion other than your pillow and blanket.

Pioneers of EVIL. Someone didn't file paperwork after I got a DUI-In Control (I parked in my…read moreapartment parking spot, took a Xanax, and fell asleep as I hadn't slept in days) so a warrant went went out for my arrest. Wasn't read my Miranda Rights, wasn't told why I was being arrested, denied a phone call, and put in solitary confinement for 5 days. Never did an officer talk to me. The food delivery person asked why I stopped eating and told him such. He went and got me a phone call and that's how I got out. The food deliverer is more ethical than the devils who run the place.

This is one of the nicest, brightest, cleanest and aesthetically pleasing City Halls I've ever been…read moreto. The parking garage is easy to navigate, there is an amazing sculptural piece outside the glassed eastern lobby wall, and the interior itself is open and inviting. There is a manned customer service desk which I really liked (these are a dying breed in many City halls, as many municipalities have cut these employees and services, due to budget cuts). I was transfixed by the travertine floor which is inlaid with a variety of multi-shaped materials in various images. There is clear signage where to get various licences and do various municipal businesses. There is a lovely cafe/coffee stand in the lobby, and it seemed to be a popular place. The only reason I did not assign 5 stars to this beautiful facility is because of the parking charges. Thankfully, they will validate your parking if you are there on any official City business or if you are attending a City meeting there. Otherwise, it's exhorbitant (I think the rate is $25 for up to 3 hours, if memory serves me correctly). Wow.

This review is for Cindy S. at Bellevue Water customer service department. I called two times…read moreregarding two different matters for my water bill. She went above and beyond to help me, i'm still feeling so thankful. It's so rare to get exceptional customer service nowadays and Cindy made me think that it is still possible. She deserves recognition.
