I don't put my son in day care so it is great to have convenient, indoor, free spaces like this in Seattle. Highly recommended for parents to little ones!

My daughter was too shy and scared to go to the instructor's place because even tho we were only several steps away from her, she ignored us. I could not change another class for her because I was told that it is considered refund and they could not refund me anything. But I would not dare to take my daughter to that cold class again to "try" as the front desk staff recommended us to do it. Perhaps some sort of racism, but it's fine, keep going your way.

However none of those things has ever significantly impacted my ability to enjoy the activities overall. They offer a variety of drop-in programs including yoga, Chinese dance, Chinese meditation, and table tennis. We paid $3 to use their gym and it was definitely well worth the price of admission! Inside the small gym, there were a couple of step machines, treadmills, and weights. Perfect for those of us that like to keep the exercise simple! For those of us who are bookworms, check out the Seattle Public Library branch connected to the community center. There is a small collection of DVDs, fiction, and non-fiction to keep your mind fed after working on your body. Check it out!

I thought they might break out in song jk. This was the best swimming experience for my kids. They learned more in 30 minutes here than at the British Swim school. I also love the atmosphere as it reminded me of a community swim meet. Design and overall aesthetic of the community center is new and the center doesn't look run down. There was a random RV parked in front of the center but nothing sketch. As a parent I look out for these things. I'm excited to try more classes here for my kids.

This they ran out of funding so I save up extra money just in case because my daughter really wanted to try a sport this year. I wanted to put her in camps that would help build up her creativity/motor skills.. She is very good with her hands and she wanted to try more sports.. I signed my daughter up for a soccer camp that cost 180.00 for 5 days and 50 minute sessions each day, in doors...The camp started on a monday August 11th and she got sick sunday the day prior... I emailed another program coordinator earlier monday 9am prior to the camp starting at 1pm to notify that my daughter was not feeling well, and she may miss some days of the camp... I asked if we could move her to another camp that starts in September so that she don't miss multiple days. LeeMay replied back stating the don't give refunds and she disregarded my question about asking to move my daughter to another camp... And she didn't reply at all to any of the questions I asked about happy feet soccer for 2 yr olds... She advised she could put a request in but a doctor's note is advised not required. I advised It takes time and money taking my kids to the hospital for a tummy ache and frequent uses to the bathroom when I can handle it as a parent and how come my word is not enough..she ignored the rest of my emails and chose to not put a request in for my refund or reply back stating why she could not change the camp dates or give a credit to my account for another activity. LeeMay Kim choose to not put the request in and The community center kept my 180.00 dollars. Now my daughter cant do the camp at all because I Don't have funds and could not afford to flush 180.00 down the drain... And Seattle parks and recreation scholarship department have no way in helping assist me in getting my refund.. Very disappointed in LeeMay and her un professional habits in how she chose to assist me....And how she and the Department made it harder for a child who was really wanting to be involved in a summer camp and program... I highly recommend not working with LeeMay or giving this community center any funding for youth because they really don't care about the youth... Very digested.

This is located 1 block west of Queen Anne Ave N on top of the hill and the building south of McClure Middle (Jr. High when I went) School and is easily mistaken as part of the school. I learned soccer at the play field, Little League Baseball, and basketball in the gym. I learned to swim next door at the QA Aquatic Center. There is an outdoor playground, 3 baseball diamonds, and playfields (soccer usually). Locals call the playfield "Big Howe" although there is a sign on QACC that says "West Queen Anne Field House." Anybody who lives on QA that hasn't used QACC didn't grow up here. Lots of activities for all ages from toddlers to seniors. They have art classes, exercise, dance, martial arts, serve meals, etc... My kid attends the Fresh Air Preschool here and the Director has a Montessori certificate. 1 teacher per eight students and it's very affordable. They have MWF or TuTh. If they had a hotel here the Village People would've made a song: "It's fun to play at the QACC!"

Very affordable and the teacher is Montessori certified. Both of my kids attended and loved it there - she does a fantastic job with social, emotional, and cognitive learning. School age care is also fantastic. They always seem to pack in so many activities for the kids and make it all look so effortless. We were usually pulling our son away when it was time to go. The adult pottery class is a must try - huge room to work in, lots of wheels, tools, etc. Best part is you can use the room ANY TIME the community center is open while taking classes. The weight room is also open any time and offers drop in or a low monthly fee. This place is a must if you live near!

They both loved riding on the dozen + riding toys. Cars, motorcycles, tricycles, big wheels, etc. There's a great climbing toy with a tall slide. Big fields, a playground and a ball court all on the Community Center grounds. Parking can be a little tricky as its in a neighborhood and the dedicated parking spaces are minimal. But if you get there early or don't mind walking down the sidewalk a block or two - you'll be fine. They have community classes, preschool and after school care onsite also. I can't speak to those but have friends that have loved the teachers and programs there for the littles. Very loving and nurturing environment. Have met a few of the community center staff and volunteers and to me they can all be best described as big hearted! They are all so friendly and caring to our friends and family even though not all of us regularly attend classes or just show up for occasional events on site. The front desk has been very helpful and accommodating with my questions and requests for directions. Really, can't say enough good about the Loyal Heights Community Center. It's just a very warm place and the people there make you feel welcome and right at home!

Fantastic caring staff that actually remembers its community members. Super helpful and kind, and they have established a truly safe feeling space for me and my children as we have been so lucky to be a part of the community now for 5 years. My only issue is that I can't get into their childcare programs because they're so popular! the sparc sign up system is a bit frustrating, but the staff at the center have always been so helpful in circumventing that with me :D they throw killer events for our kiddos and really tie us all into a community. can't wait for that new playground to be finished!
