The song was released on the 1991 Nirvana album, Nevermind. Kurt Cobain grew up in a home just minutes away and this is the bridge that, during periods of homelessness in his youth, he claimed to have lived underneath. This claim was later countered by Krist Novoselic who co-founded the band Nirvana. He essentially felt it wasn't possible since the Wishkah River is tidal and can rise significantly during the day. After visiting, I believe that, at least for the majority of time, it would have been possible for Kurt to sleep there. Only a very high King Tide could have prevented him from sleeping under the bridge at the upper portion of the river bank. The bridge crosses over the muddy banks of the Wishkah River (memorialized in another Nirvana song) and it was one of Cobain's favorite places to hangout in Aberdeen which is considered to be the birthplace of Grunge music due to Cobain's birth and musical beginnings that took place here. * Note that Kurt Cobain hated the term "Grunge" and was quoted as saying "I have strong feelings towards Pearl Jam and Alice In Chains and bands like that. They're obviously just corporate puppets that are just trying to jump on the alternative bandwagon and we are being lumped into that category." To this day, Nirvana fans from all around the world make the pilgrimage to Aberdeen, WA to pay tribute to Nirvana and Kurt Cobain. If this is important to you, take note that this bridge is sadly slated to be demolished in the next few years and replaced with a new bridge as its "sufficiency rating" is at just 14.71 on a scale of 0 to 100. You have to go through the post office…read morehere and if you're like me where you work 9 to 5 job there is no way to pick up any of your packages unless you are there during their work hours because they won't utilize the island that they have in the post office to store packages for people to pick up after business hours, so if you like me and you work 9 to 5 job and if you currently don't have a car like I do I have no car that runs. I have no way to get my packages. I have to take off work and leave work early just so I can make sure that I get my packages and that they don't get returned to the sender so when I talked to the ladies that work at the post office and I simply told them that I have no way to pick up my packages unless they put them in the island for me to pick up after hours they just told me that they are too busy to do that , all I'm saying is they should have a solution for this because it's very frustrating. There is no good shops around here and online shopping for a lot of people. Is there only resort to get the things that they want and at the end of the day this establishment is very anti-consumer they don't have solutions for their problems. They'd rather get mad at the people who simply live here. Trust me living here is not a positive thing so I'm sorry to the employees that are tasked with the painstaking objective of putting away mail. We should all apologize as customers of the Cosmopolis post office for wanting to get our packages before they are returned to the sender since the people at the post office will just hold your package and not try to put it in a place where you can access it outside of business hours I really think they need a better system so people can pick their packages up past 5 o'clock because I am going to have to take time off work just to pick up my packages since they do not listen when I ask them kindly to put their packages in the island for me to pick up. they do not utilize that system at all. They would rather get mad at the citizens of Cosmopolis for simply wanting to get what they ordered , I'd rather shop local but no local store has anything at all except Walmart if I had an alternate way to get mail delivered to a different place, I would absolutely do it. I've had packages arrive, and I've had to argue with the employees about them being there when they insist that they weren't, but I was the one who was correct and the packages were there so you have to be assertive in situations where you shouldn't be, and they also are constantly messing up the Mail system and sending mail in the wrong places I would just keep an eye out if you live here because many times they will give me mail that isn't mine I can't wait for robots to take these jobs. At least the robots won't have an attitude when I ask them just to do a simple task, marines, construction and fireman all bow to the enduring and holy post office worker who has the hardest job on the planet and should be worshiped daily for their unwavering perseverance, and dedication to their country

It is right next to the water which brings the lumber to the mill which is kind of cool. This post office is small though and has parking on the street and it perfect for the size of this town. Housed in a renovated Carnegie library building around the corner from where the bus stops, they even have an old grandfather clock and their underground parking beats Aberdeen's tiny outside area. The only downside is the main collection is on the second floor, while the bathrooms are in the basement. I also wish they weren't closed on Mondays. As in other Timberland libraries, the WiFi is good and they even allow limited free printing. Their interlibrary loan is also free and you can return materials to any Timberland branch.

They said Huntington Glass was a "preferred provider" if I wanted to try them. An employee of the glass shop called me within a couple of hours. She was able to get me in the following Friday and also offered to put a temp on the next day (Saturday) if I needed it (I didn't, I have a second car). They did a great job and everyone I dealt with there was really nice and professional. I have no idea how they got every ounce of glass out of my hatchback but they did. I'd highly recommend using them, and I've now heard that from others too since I've told this story.
