I have consigned many items at Grey's Auctioneers in Cleveland. They offer free appraisals by appointment on most Fridays. The staff and owner Debora Grey are very knowledgeable and professional. I recently went to the Antiques Roadshow filming in Harrisburg Pa. June 2017. The roadshow appraiser was unable to identify an item that I had brought to be appraised. I took the same item to Gray's and they were able to find the item and appraise it in minutes. In my opinion this is the best auction house in Cleveland. . read more

Probably one of the most intelligent places I have been . Free appraisal Friday is such an asset. I have obtained such knowledge of some pieces I own. It was an honor to have my late husband, Bill Radawec's estate and art collection represented by Gray's Auctioneers. Deba, Serena, Flannery, Monica, Ella and Shamus made me feel like I was part of an extended family. They were professional, supportive and went beyond all of my expectations of the way they respectfully handled my late husband's artworks. Their auction catalog presented the history of Bill Radawec's life and art career in the most memorable way - it celebrated his enthusiasm for life, people, and history! Everyone at Gray's Auction House portrayed Bill's love of art through their well-orchestrated exhibition that generated much excitement about collecting his works and the collection of his beloved artist friends! Over the years, Bill and I often visited the fabulous art exhibitions at Gray's Auction House hosted by Deba and Serena. It was fitting to have Bill's final work exhibited here. Bill always wanted his work and collection to be shared with the people he loved. MY FAVORITE Auction House EVER! Deba and Serena are two of the MOST personable people you can imagine to work with! Every one of their auctions is always filled with an AMAZING array of items~ there is something for everyone! This auction house attracts everyone~ from high end collectors seeking exquisite works of art, to folks like me looking for interesting things for my home and my family too. i have found so many wonderful things at Gray's. The quality of their items is ALWAYS FIRST CLASS~ and you will come away with treasures quite often at VERY reasonable prices! History

Established in 2006.

Founded in 2006 by Deba Gray & Serena Harragin, Gray's opened for business in their current location on Detroit Avenue in Cleveland in June 2007. The only licensed, bonded & insured fine art and antiques auction house holding monthly auctions, which run live and on the web at the same time. With over three decades of experience as a fine art specialist & auctioneer most recently with Sotheby's, Deba Gray returned to Cleveland from New York to establish Gray's as the foremost regional auction house in Northeast Ohio.

Meet the Business Owner: Deba G.

Deba is one of the leading fine art & antiques experts in Northern Ohio. She returned to Cleveland Ohio in 2006 to establish Gray's Auctioneers & Appraisers after more than two decades away from Ohio, working as an auctioneer for both Leslie Hindman Auctioneers and Sotheby's. She has appraised and auctioned estates all over the world including Africa, Europe and the U.S. She has recognized and authenticated numerous works of art including a rare Turner which is now on display at the Cleveland Museum of Art; "Le Tub", a Degas bronze now in a private collection in the UK; and a previously 'lost' rare portrait by the French artist Jacques-Louis David.

It was a highlight of the trip! The market is right downtown in a gorgeous old building, make sure to look at the ceilings. There are public parking areas all around outside, but it does get busy. There are also side buildings and outdoor stalls nearby, so be sure to check them out. Inside is rows upon rows of amazing local vendors with food to enjoy there, or many items to buy and take home. Meat counters, fresh vegetables and fruit, sauces, Middle Eastern food, Greek, Mexican, Gyros, sandwiches, baked goods, salads and so much more are all over. Even stalls that repeat the same types of items have their own unique spin and history. It's busy, with people everywhere looking and enjoying their purchases. Prices are reasonable, especially how fresh and local everything is. I bought a bunch of small things to eat while we walked, together we bought shishkabobs and steak to enjoy at home the following day. It's a great place to shop local!

Well, I have to admit that I am biased but this is a great place to go shopping. If you are looking to decorate but don't want to pay a small fortune then come to Gray's auctioneers and see what you can get. with an auction every month you can find very cool retro furniture, rugs galore, paintings, glassware, dishware & silverware. If you are into artglass or pottery you can find neat finds. And what's more you'll be recycling in the best way possible. The quality of pieces made 50 to a hundred years ago is so much better than stuff that is mass marketed today. So I say stay local, buy local and be green. read more
