When I asked how they arrived at the offer number, he was super vague...something like we take what we can get for them and then try and make a little money...lol. He said they don't do percentages. Well, when I figured it out, it turns out they offered 18% less than what the silver content was worth. That's a pretty big number. The reason for 2 stars is...it may be a good place to shop if you know what you're looking for and compare prices but it's definitely not the place to sell anything. They lowballed me on sports cards a few years ago...but that's another story.

They are very honest and I have no concerns about tampering/resealing with loose packs. Staff has always been friendly with me (even when I come in 15 minutes before they close). If you've got card questions or you're selling cards you should call ahead to make sure someone that does cards is available. Definitely a solid, reliable place to get cards. If you go check out the .25¢/.50¢ singles in the bargain bins.

However I did question a few things that I had won regarding their "newness" as I had purchased a slipcover for a loveseat, not original packing and dog hair embedded in it. I washed it and used it b/ci had bought it for b/c of our dogs. I also purchased a Michael Todd dermaplaner which was listed as "new", but had to question its new state since a couple of blades were missing from the package. Did I say anything to them then? No I gave it a good cleaning and purchased new blades. BUT I had to say something on one of my last purchases. It was listed as a "new" Rowenta clothes iron, so I bid on it, and was quite disappointed to find a battered taped up box, that contained a yellowed from original white color, and smelling of moth balls. No way this was new. So I called the number, and a guy answers the phone, never giving his name. Told him the issue, and he replies nonchalantly with, "if you don't like it, bring it back and we will refund you" (take it back to Avon), I said that's it, just bring it back? His reply was "yep is that all you want?" And when I said yes he hung up. So then I felt compelled to write a message via messenger to Westlake Liquidation, which I did, and I got a reply that "Sorry if there was a mix up on our end, just keep the iron, and a refund will be sent. Which they immediately sent and then BLOCKED me from bidding on their website. When I inquired why I was blocked I was told they have a zero tolerance for rude or aggressive behavior toward their staff. I was like wait, I'm the customer who should have received an apology, but because I shared my disappointment with them on their practices, I was blocked from their site, and no one would even talk with me. So BEWARE IF YOU BID ON THEIR STUFF THAT THEY SAY IS NEW!!!! And DONT YOU DARE SHARE YOUR DISAPPOINTMENT IN HOW THEY HANDLE CUSTOMERS SERVICE.!!!!!

The shelves are very messy, and there are always random clothes racks blocking aisles and racks (see pictures - taken on two separate trips!) Any hot finds literally have to be dug out. If I'm in the area, I'll still stop (especially as 2 other thrift stores are within mere minutes) but it's just a lot of effort to shop. Every time I have been there, the same lady has been at checkout. She's very pleasant and competent, but otherwise, this store has a lot of room for improvement.

I left a political bumper sticker under the rear wiper of a car in the parking lot that was displaying other stickers of similar views. She questioned what I was doing, and while I was in the store, she walked out to the parking lot and took it. Freedom of speech is a right. It's not her job to censor expression in a public parking lot. She's supposed to be processing donations. As long as she works there, I will never shop this location again.

Not much is vintage. Most things are newer. Everything is clean. Lots of wall pictures, area rugs, lamps, counter/bar stools and Knick knacks are scattered around. A lot of the vases, bowls, and pictures are tall and big. There are cool and unusual chandeliers. There is kitchen decor. The longer the consign item is on the floor the price goes down.
