Only minor complaint is that there's nowhere to sit if you wanted to take a pause and read something for a bit, but the space is on the smaller side, so I understand why that might not be practical for them.

So I moved to a very uncomfortable wooden chair with no cushion. A little while later, another guy comes in. He had a cappuccino sat down on the comfy couches across from me. Stayed there for 10 minutes. The same guy came over asked him to get out of that area because it was reserved for wine and champagne. I'll never go back. I don't care how cute the place is you don't ask your customers to move out of a comfortable spot at 10 o'clock in the morning because they're not drinking wine and champagne. I think these people should not ask what little customers they do have to make themselves at home on a hard chair. While all the comfortable seating areas stay vacant. Bad business practices for sure! This place won't last.

Glad to see Barnes & Noble hanging in there…read more Most locations have the same layout and mostly the same selections, so this one was no different. Store is clean, spacious, and well stocked. If you frequent this business, you already know what's in here from the children's area to the 'cafe' area and all in between. There is a nice Harry Potter area for fans to enjoy and the children's area is stocked well. I didn't have any employee interactions, which was fine as I didn't need assistance as I was just browsing. Prices are what they are. Located in the Cortlandt Town Center, they have their own parking area (though you can walk from any area in the Center), so you don't need to deal with the madness or some of the bad drivers in the main lot. Say what you will about Barnes & Noble - and I've said it myself - the business is not perfect and has its flaws, but it's still nice to have a place where you can hold a book and browse books the way you want to in the world of digital phasing out some physical forms of media (which I'm not a fan of - whether books or movies).
