It wasn't too crowded the day I was there but it's not a huge place. Prices are on the higher side, but what you'd expect at a quaint local shop. I wish I had a place like this in my neighborhood (in Danbury, not Manhattan) so I could stop by regularly.

The staff is helpful and so knowledgeable not only about what's on the shelves, but what is coming and what they love to read. The space is unique and full of character, with great books seemingly coming out every corner. The children's section is among the best I've ever seen in an independent bookstore--full sets of Nancy Drew and The Hardy Boys that I haven't seen on shelves in decades!
