I was in MS and had major car trouble and my vehicle was towed to Gray-Daniels Toyota. Since I am on the road a lot, I got an appraisal on my sick vehicle. The following day, I went to the dealership, where I met Raven. She gave me a big hug (knowing I lived out of state) and told me they will do whatever they can to help me. She knew I just wanted to get home. Raven introduced me to Toshia, whom I believe is the best sales associate ever. She knew I was anxious, stressed and just wanted to get back to my home state. After looking at many vehicles, I decided to purchase a 2024 Grand Highlander. I knew it had gotten a ding on the door at the dealership. She spoke with a manager, decided I could take car and bring back at my convenience to have door fixed and hitch added , which I did. Zach, General Manager, gave me a lender car, at no cost. This was a very generous thing to do. He and Toshia also called/texted to give me updates on my vehicle. I called to let them know when I would be traveling back through MS. Zach told me he would try it ready for me, which he did. When we picked up the car, Zach had it squeaky clean and full of gas! It had no ding and a hitch added! I say all of this to say, Raven, Toshia and Zach took care of me. They were each very kind and sweet. Their concern was the client. Everyone that I interacted with was nice and put the client first. Bought like new 60,016 Mile Toyota Tacoma from Gray-Daniels FORD, excellent service, BUT taking it across the Street to Gray-Daniels Toyota for a few services was very dissatisfing. The service writer did not follow customers wishs and instead did an upsell, I imagine for a commission, on unrequested expensive services. They quoted TEN PERCENT of the purchase price for service on a vehicle that had a 96% quality rating with their 100 plus inspection service with the sale. Charged for fluids not installed, labor charges were questionable for time to do task. Did noe replace PCV as requested. Service manager were not comprehending my researched and requested services requests. I cancelled some of the up sell services this I could my self for about an hour and parts. Example, they wanted nearly $80 to remove a thin corrosion spot on the negative battery terminal, DIY in less than two minutes. Photo attached. Spent an hour with service manager who was apples to my oranges on these issues. The managers parting comment was " you can always go elsewhere, shop around". I was offered Three oil and filter change coupons, this instead of CASH, which I preferred so I would not have to deal with them again. I used their services since it was sold by their relater Gray-Daniels FORD dealership across the street. Considering that this has happened before at this same location, I know what "right" looks like. Beyond that, I am a manager. If anyone on my team--or within the company--has a gap in communication, I work to make it right, offer an apology when needed, and remain fully mindful of how I respond. I truly enjoy the reliability of a Toyota, and I typically visit the Brandon, MS location. In most instances, there are many friendly faces. Today, my car was greeted by a nice representative at roughly 9:40 a.m. Normally, I receive a phone call, text message, or someone personally comes to get me once my vehicle is finished. This time, I was sent a link with updates, which has been common in previous visits. I clicked the link and saw no updates--only communication about additional maintenance options. Time continued to pass, and still no update appeared. A friendly employee, I believe named Curtis, came by and noticed I had been waiting for a significant amount of time. He explained that my vehicle had actually been completed for quite a while. He was very empathetic. I explained that the link never updated. He walked me to the front of the service area and referred me to my advisor. Upon going to retrieve my vehicle from the designated pickup area, Curtis once again acknowledged the gap in communication and apologized. He recognized how long I had been waiting and showed genuine concern. I have absolutely no negativity regarding him--he was a delight to interact with, very cheerful, and clearly skilled at reading a room and treating people with respect. Russell Boyette, however, had excuses and showed no empathy, no remorse, and no ownership whatsoever. I explained that at this same location, a previous advisor once thought he had communicated with me but had not--he even checked the store's phone to confirm there was no call--and he comp'd my service to make it right. Because of that, I didn't complain. The current advisor, Russell Boyette though, had a completely unacceptable attitude. He suggested I may have been outside of a specific area; I clarified that I was not. He suggested I may have gone to the restroom; I had not. He said he texted me; I put my phone down and asked who he texted, because there was no text at all regarding pickup. I referred to the link, and he told me it typically does not work. I also communicated that I could clearly hear the PA system and would have heard my name if it had been called at a reasonable tone. He said they don't use those. There was no apology, no remorse, and honestly no respect. I plainly told him I would be contacting Toyota. I have no idea why this man is employed at your establishment. I have been a loyal Gray Daniel customer since 2015. I both a Toyota Yaris and a 2016 Scion ia. I have always taken both cars to Gray Daniel Toyota for oil changes and other services needed on both my car. However, I have recently been disappointed with Gray Daniels Toyota and me, and my family members will never purchase another vehicle from them. I had an issue with my Scion ia that I went into the dealership to be diagnosed. I was told that they did not see an issue, and in if I continued to have issues with the car I might want to take to the Mazda dealership. I thought that Gray Daniel Toyota backs up repairs for vehicles purchased from them and not try to push you off on another dealership. Shortly afterward the vehicle stopped on me twice on the interstate and had to be towed. I ended up seeking another mechanic who diagnosed the problem but couldn't get the issue resolved due to the car having Mazda parts. The car had to be towed back to Gray Daniels Dealership where I started. They didn't care that I had to pay another mechanic because they failed to diagnose the issue when I was there. I had to rent a car and pay the other mechanic. They acted as if I created this problem, of a car that I purchased from them with Mazda parts in a Toyota body. I am a senior citizen I felt as if I was taken advantage of, it was one thing after another. I ended up with a total of $2000 before that issue was resolved. However; I left the dealership with my ac broken which I was told ,it appears that I need a compressor not 100 percent sure because they could not complete the revap to know for sure. which would cost me an additional $2,000. read more

I'd rate this dealership 0 if I could. Kourtney was fine to deal with but the assistant sales manager was dismissive of the safety concerns we noted along with the dishonest pictures they supplied of the 2014 sequoia we drove 4 hours to view. We arrived to a dirty distressed truck with a dead battery, missing paint on every panel, cracked windshield, possible mice damage and bald tires along with multiple engine error codes for cam sensors and abs. I've included some photos of their original ad and the pictures we took in person. We came to purchase a used vehicle out right but the sales manager assumed we wanted to finance a 200k+ mile truck (which would be ridiculous) and told us they rarely financed trucks of this condition. We had no intentions of financing a truck that was in too bad of a shape to finance but apparently nice enough that they're asking top comp price for it. Make sure you ask for a video from your sales person since they will not be forthcoming unless prompted. Truck should've been sent to the auctions, instead they're happy to sell some poor soul a junker and kick the can down the road. No honesty here. read more

I've been meaning to post this review since mid-November, but between travel, the holidays, and personal matters, it was delayed. While traveling from California to Florida, our van began overheating in Flowood, Mississippi. After an initial repair at another shop, we were referred to Gray Daniels Toyota for further evaluation. We worked with a service representative named Raven, who told us their mechanics were "master certified" and that the vehicle had been thoroughly checked. She explained that although the radiator overflow tank that had been installed was aftermarket and smaller than the original, she assured us it would function adequately and that it was safe to continue driving. Based on that information, we continued our trip cautiously, stopping every couple hundred miles to monitor the vehicle. The van overheated in Alabama. We immediately pulled off the highway and called Raven. She did not answer but we left her a voice mail. After arriving in Florida, the van began overheating again. A Toyota dealership there performed a full inspection and advised us that the radiator overflow tank installed was not the correct part for our vehicle and was intended for a different model with a tow package. They further stated that, in order to make it fit, several original Toyota components had been removed. According to that dealership, the repeated overheating contributed to significant engine damage, with repair estimates of approximately $7,000. Based on these findings, the guidance we received at Gray Daniels Toyota did not align with the vehicle's condition as later diagnosed. That information influenced our decision to continue driving, which unfortunately resulted in additional damage and expense. P.S. I did call and speak with the Service Manager, Douglas Chambers. When he answered the call, he did not know who I was. We discussed what had occurred, and the only resolution he offered was that if we were ever in the area again, we could stop by and ask for him and he would see what he could do to make it right. Given that we will likely never be in the area again, any attempt to make this right would need to be addressed now, not at some uncertain point in the future. read more

I was told that my warranty didn't cover labor and they tried to charge me for that. BUYER BEWARE. I still stand beside the sales team being great (obviously they have to be). I hope the owner reads this and changes how things are done I had a very easy no pressure experience while buying a Toyota tundra. I was able to setup everything online and go in to sign the papers. Gray-Daniels Toyota in Brandon MS is the most unprofessional, unorganized, terrible excuse for a car dealership that I have ever dealt with. I was interested in a vehicle on their lot, spent an entire week communicating with several salespeople, decided I wanted it, even offered to put down a deposit to ensure there would be no issues. I was told no, that everything had to be done in person. After I was notified that all plans are in motion, I drove 2 hours to their dealership for Chloe (salesperson) to say "Oops, it's been sold". This was after ensuring me by text 12 hours prior that she was filling it up with gas and having it detailed for me. She was my primary salesperson and she 100% dropped the ball. This is absolutely unacceptable. I did everything right and had made the decision to buy this vehicle, only to be completely let down after driving 2 hours make the transaction. Not only has this been a huge inconvenience and let down for me, I have no trust in car dealerships now as a result of this. The salesperson, Chloe, should be held responsible for this situation. She had one job to do, did it with dishonesty and carelessness and caused what should have been a great situation become a terrible experience. read more

BEWARE - Great before the sale. Evasive, non-responsive, and unwilling to take responsibility after. My letter to the GM... Mr. Parker, Just and FYI on my recent experience. I bought a 2021 Hyundai from your dealership on 12/23/24. I am in Louisiana and the trade-in was registered to my ex-wife in Alabama. All this was made aware to your staff before I came in to purchase the car. After several phone calls, the bank got the paperwork 37 days later on 1/29. My bank here turned the paperwork in to the DMV and advised me I would get no tax credit on my trade-in because it would need to be titled in my name. My issue is that Lucky knew all of this going into the deal and never made me aware of what I needed to do to get the credit ($500). I've gone back and forth on emails and phone calls and where I landed with Lucky was that "she sold 300 cars a month and was very up to date on how tax credits worked, yet was under no obligation to advise me of the steps to take.". She also advised that "she has nothing to do with my taxes" . I buy a car once every 2 to 3 years and have for the last 25 years. I've always gotten the credit on the trade-in. This is the second issue I've had with this particular sale. The first was when the sales person "on video" said the backup camera worked and it didn't. I trusted the sales person and never checked it. So, I was stuck holding the bag. Lucky did split the cost of a replacement part after a month of calls and emails . The drive-up area is spacious and there are several lanes and spaces within each lane to pull up to for service. If I could go back I would never buy a car from these people. I bought an SUV from them 4 months ago. Two weeks later it wouldn't crank. Some days it cranks, some days it doesn't. Their service dept told me they weren't "dealing with that" and to take it to the nearest dealership. (I live 2 hours away.) It had left me stranded in another state where I had to rent a hotel room and an Uber to get back. It has left me and my child stranded in 100 degree weather more than once. It has been in the shop where they can't figure out what is wrong and why this is happening. I called Gray Daniel Toyota to talk to them about this since and was told to come in and they would get me in something else. I told them that I paid 5000 down 4 months ago for a car that won't crank half the time and couldn't do that again. I was put on hold and then told that the gm said they could fix it where I didn't have to pay another down payment. After taking off early and driving 2 hours to get there, that was all a lie to get us to come spend more money. The first thing they told us was that we would have to do another down payment. My husband and I have been looking for a "new to us" truck off and on for about 1 year. We had narrowed our list down to 2 trucks; and when one showed up on Gray Daniels Toyota's inventory, we went to the dealership to see it. It was Sunday, so the dealership was closed, but we both loved the truck and immediately went home to prepare our trade vehicle(s). The next afternoon, we went to Gray Daniels to test drive and hopefully purchase the truck (we brought the titles to both trades and a personal check for down payment). The truck met our expectations, and we began the purchase process. The first offer from GD was high. We told the salesman the trades were too low, doc fee too high, and they need to reduce the "bottom line" by $1500.00. The salesman stalled for a while, and then turned the printed first offer over and hand wrote a "promissory note" that stated: If the bottom line on the truck is lowered to $27,500.00 I will purchase the truck today - followed by a signature line with an X. Huh? We asked what on earth that was. He stated that management would know we were serious about the purchase if my husband signed the tacky note. My husband immediately stated that we needed the keys back to our trade vehicles, and we would be leaving. The salesman asked why to which my husband responded "my word stating that is where the price needs to be should be enough." The salesman again tried to get my husband to sign the statement to show he was serious. Short story long: the simple fact that we showed up with both titles, a check for down payment, had researched and knew what the fair trade value for our vehicles was should have let the salesman we were serious. He lost an easy sale, and my poor husband who rarely asks for or purchases anything for himself has no new truck. Super disappointed. read more

I had a great experience at this dealership! I was passing through Mississippi and needed service rather quickly. After speaking with the receptionist, I was encouraged to swing by for an oil change and tire rotation--although I don't drive a Toyota. After speaking with the Service Advisors, my car was in the bay in about 10 minutes. I was able to plug in to the wifi, make a call and get some work done while waiting. Surprisingly, my car was finished within 20 minutes! The Service Advisor in the neighboring bay gave me a handful of lozenges (thanks Jerry!) to soothe my sore throat and even offered encouraging words for the remainder of my journey. Next time I'm passing through and need service, I'll be sure to stop by. read more

They are charging $850 for "optional" Roadvantage gap financial insurance, $3345 for mechanical breakdown insurance, $399 for a "we Owe" document that is meaningless and presents dealer installed options that may or may not have been provided yet. They also collect earnest money or a down payment without a sales contract as they are unsure of exact delivery dates. read more

The paperwork to buy a minivan took longer than signing my mortgage. They sent a birthday card for a free car wash good for up to one week. I went in for an oil change and car wash, and I was told that they didn't have time to wash it that day, but the lady suggested that I come back the next morning by 8:00. I did. The original lady wasn't there. Some guy told me that the car washer was already "15 deep" at 8:00, and a free wash wasn't going to be possible. I drove around the corner to the automated car wash (that they didn't even offer to cover), and I haven't gone back to Gray-Daniels. I'd love a Nissan 370-Z Nissmo, but I will not buy it from Gray-Daniels. read more

Gray-Daniels Toyota Brandon service has gone to pot since they lost Justin Roberts. He took care of my car and me for 7 years. He always came to me a few minutes after I got there and explained what needed to be done and costs. He was concerned for my welfare. When I went yesterday, I waited an hour and no one came to discuss what my car needed. Finally, I went on a scavenger hunt looking for my car. It wasn't on the rack. It wasn't in line. It wasn't in the shop. Finally I found it parked off over to the side. I had no idea whether they had done anything to my car or not. So I walked around trying to find someone who could help me find out. None of the service people would even look at me, including the person sitting ten feet from me in glass office, the one who had greeted me when I first came in, who I later discovered was service manager. So I sat down in the lounge area and called the service telephone. I told the person who answered what was happening. He got busy and took care of me. He learned that they had changed my oil but nothing else. I had told service manager that I had two lights on--tire and maintenance. They had ignored my tires. Justin always saw to it that they rotated my tires as promised when I bought my tires from them. So this young man got my tires rotated and talked his service manager into giving me my oil change free. Thank you, James Albritton, for being the redemptive force in my otherwise awful experience. What would have bene nice would have been or the service manager--when I told him Justin usually took care of me but I hadn't been able to get him--to have graciously said, "I'm so sorry but Justin is no longer here. Let me introduce you to ___ who will take care of you. We appreciate your business." If I go back I'll ask for James, but I'm not sure I'll go back. Thank you for free oil change. read more

Very Disappointed! This dealership is poorly managed and does not have quality communication or inventory management, and their sales department seems to have no idea of how inventory works or how to communicate clearly with potential customers. My husband found the vehicle of his dreams and called to inquire since we are about a 2 hour drive away - we were told it was in stock, and we would receive a call back with more information and numbers for purchase. No call back and a few hours later we called again to inquire about the vehicle - again told it was in stock and the salesman was at the sales tower and would call back in ten minutes. AGAIN no call back, so we tried again and spoke with Tasha, who informed us the salesman had left early and the vehicle was currently being sold. The original salesman texted my husband the next morning saying "oh well, a truck is just a truck." Come to find out, the vehicle had not been sold, and we called yet again to be told they'd call back. Which they never did (surprise surprise!) So I called for the final time and spoke with Marquess who informed us the vehicle had been sold at 10AM but was still on the lot (and still listed online). Again, POOR communication and they missed out on a sale due to their lack of care for potential customers. read more

Very Disappointed! I bought a New Car and got a fair deal. My problem is that they have had my paperwork for almost 30 day which is the time limit before I get fined from Louisiana. They have overnighted the paperwork after a call yesterday. Which gives me the whole day of Friday, if the DMV is not overrun by others, to complete the paperwork before fines start. I just had a really disappointing experience given the amount of great reviews for Gray-Daniels Service. I am an out of state buyer of a car and was looking for a reputable dealer to do a pre-purchase inspection and compression check of a Toyota Land Cruiser. I called three dealerships and on the phone Gray-Daniels was the nicest and professional. I was able to confirm with TWO different representatives, the Service Advisor and the Customer Service Rep, what the price and time was going to be for this inspection. Around two hours of tech time and $250. That great experience stopped when I hung up the phone. Once the seller got to the dealership to drop the car off for inspection that same service advisor said the compression check alone was going to take 4-5 Hours, I talked to the Service Advisor over the phone to confirm the quote he AND the CSR had given me and the timing of the service, he was silent. They didn't care. What a horrible experience from a certified dealership of Toyota. I will be contacting Toyota as well. If my hometown dealership treated customers like this they wouldn't be in business. read more

Went into this thinking that it would be the same as last time, but they have a new car manager , Mark Murphree, and this is one nice guy! Tony Hughes is my go to guy here, he got me set up, but was off the day I came in,had Timothy Woo to step in, and all I can say is how painless this was! I usually buy two vehicles a year, and it is usually as fun as pulling teeth, but the team that they have at Gray-Daniels Toyota will make this an easy, and surprisingly enjoyable experience! I will be ordering a new Supra from them in the coming months, and am looking forward to it! These guys are not pushy, and really have the environment to make your buying experience a positive one. Have to give a shout out to their parts department as well, Sergio knows Toyota's backwards and forwards, from years of experience , and is a all around good guy. Do not waste your time at any other Toyota Dealership! All I can say is Thanks Guys, you made this task much more enjoyable than I have ever experienced! BUYER BEWARE! Attempted to buy a used car at Gray-Daniels Toyota last night and trade in my 2013 model. The finance guy tried to add additional $899 for some cleaning/deterrent that I did not agree to. Then tried to over price the vehicle by $1,000, instead of selling it at the Internet price listed and on top of that, he wanted to appraise my car extremely low because he said I have a "Takata airbag"! Well, looks like the Takata airbag is your problem Toyota and Nissan! Most of the cars on your lot have Takata airbags! I hope you are disclosing this to your customers. The bummer is this dealer tried to rip me off by $2,000 that was obvious. Because I'm a woman perhaps!!! Of course, that's the same amount they wanted as a down payment - what a coincidence! Best deal ever! I was in the market for a SUV and had narrowed it down to an Acura MDX or a Toyota Highlander. After a bad experience with Acura I was very happy to get a wonderful experience at Gray-Daniels. There is no need to go anywhere else. This dealership has the best sales people (Jimmy Gaiennie) and staff (manager Wayne Eldridge) you could ever hope for. You will get top notch courtesy and professional treatment. We were able to take the Highlander for the weekend to try it out. This SUV is so comfortable and easy to live with. Regular gas not premium and lower cost to own sold us easily plus a great deal made this a no brainer. Even my husband who does not like SUVs likes this one. read more
