Working with Gravity Builders was a horrible experience . My Mom who is 91 hired them for a job. They did not follow their own contract, all of the work that they did had to be removed and replaced. Vince Hola of Gravity Builders LLC signed a contact with my Mom that stated that he owes her $18,000. He was supposed to pay her $1000 a month. Since November, she has received two payments of $1000.00, once in November and once in March. He has not paid her the $16,000 he owes her. As well, he has/had a $60,000 lawsuit against him, check out Labor and Industries. Beware of doing business with this company. I have never met such dishonest and poor workers before. Gravity Builders is closed and has been hijacked by criminals. I contacted them through the BBB website to do a siding replacement job. I guy named Mike, a BIPOC, called me back from the BBB request for quote. I hired them and on the day he showed up with a crew, Mike said they needed 50% of the bid upfront and asked me to pay through Zelle. I wrote Gravity Builders a personal check instead. The crew of 5 BIPOC's did about 2 hours of work which was very substandard. I called Mike to let him know the work was substandard, and he said they would return on Monday Morning to fix the issues, which included improperly hung siding at inconsistent intervals. One board was 4" wide and the one below that was 8" wide. It looked very unprofessional. The 4" wide board was also significantly canted out by more than 3/4". Mike and crew never showed up again and never refunded my $3000 deposit. I went to the business address and found the business had closed more than a year before. These criminals had somehow hijacked that BBB Washington website so they could respond to requests for quotes. Had a 3 bay concrete driveway, patio, and new front steps and decking installed by Gravity Builders. They messed up the front corner so it wouldn't drain properly. It took them forever to correct the install. Then they never sealed the driveway and patio like my contract said. Also, front steps are uneven and wobly. Never heard back from them after multiple attempts. read more

I reached out to Gravity Builders for my first "mini" remodel project for my kitchen. I needed to bring it up to code by removing a window and adding in a vent fan and I also took the opportunity to run a new water line for a fancy new fridge, add in a tiled backsplash, and make some faux drawer fronts actual functioning drawers. Overall: I would very much recommend Gravity Builders for your project. They were super easy to work with and made me feel comfortable with the whole process. Keep in mind that you'll need to have an eye for detail and quite a bit of flexibility throughout your project. More details below. ### Why I chose Gravity Builders: I received 5 different quotes from contractors when I was originally kicking off this project. Vince was the only person that did not speak down to me, genuinely seemed to want to collaborate with me on the project, and gave me a great breakdown of cost and timing. He didn't try to upsell me on the project but instead made me feel confident he was commited to providing me with the best service for the work I was requesting. The Quote and Contract Process: Vince made this as painless as possible - even when I threw him a curveball by asking for a fancy herringbone tile pattern. Vince took it in stride and made me feel confident that he understood my vision and was giving me the best price/estimate he could. He let me take my time reading through all of the contracts, answered my "new to construction" questions clearly, and sent over changes and clarifications quickly. The Construction: Unfortunately, the construction on the project was not the smoothest process. I have an almost 90 year old house and to say that it "has it's quirks" is pretty much an undestatement. We ran into electrical issues, tiling issues, and were unable to finish the project - cancelling the drawer add ins at the last minute (this was my decision). We ended up being 1.5wks over schedule. Throughout this process though, Vince and the team were super communicative which made the whole process easy - even if it was longer than intended right before a big holiday. I always knew what needed to be done, I always knew when the team was coming by - they would even message me ahead of time if they *might* be running late. When they ran into issues Vince would give me a run down of what was happening and why and what they were doing to fix everything. I don't think any construction process is "fun" or "comfortable" but Vince and the team made me feel like I was in good hands. The End Product: I'm very happy with the work done on my kitchen. The tiling is almost exactly how I envisioned and now, without the window, I have a vent fan and my dishwasher can open fully without hitting my stove! I also have a nice new fridge with an ice maker - a dream of mine! There are some small finishes that I feel could've been better - but we ended up with these finishes due to my "quirky" house. I was also in full control and approved the end product. ### Things I wasn't expecting/Things to keep in mind when working with them: - Be flexible with your timelines. Even when we were "on schedule" sometimes the team would arrive later than expected or need to stay later than originally planned. - Keep an eye on finishings and details throughout the whole process. Towards the end of my project I started noticing things around the finishes that weren't exactly what I wanted or didn't look quite right. We likely would've saved a bunch of time if I had been checking in on these things throughout the full process vs just at the end. - Have a clear idea of what you want AND what the process is to make that happen. I spent a lot of time in the beginning going back and forth on tile and appliances and being unsure of what I wanted. This delayed some planning and also caused the need for some last minute substitutions. Also, there were questions throughout that I wasn't sure how to answer because I was ignorant of the process "Do you want to add caulk here or grout?" etc etc. Doing a little more research ahead of time would've been beneficial for these types of questions. read more

For a long time, I have been wanting to pour concrete to expand my driveway and create more parking space at my home. I was overwhelmed by the prospect of looking for a concrete finisher company, I was looking for someone who was able to understand my vision and read my drawings. I would give Vince and Gravity Builders 6 stars if possible. Although my project involved only concrete repair, Vince's expertise, knowledge and advice was apparent at the onset. He made suggestions and recommendations based upon the best materials for the job at hand. I could sense his confidence and conviction for doing an excellent job that I would be pleased with. Vince's crew was well planned and briefed on every aspect of the job; they came prepared with appropriate staff everyday for the work at hand. We originally called Gravity Builders about pouring our foundation for our addition/remodel plans. In meeting with Vince, we learned they could also provide all the framing services we would need. Their prices were very much in line with our expectations. The work was meticulous, well thought out and best of all, the crew listened to what we wanted, needed and came back with ideas and explanations of everything they would do. Finding a female owned, local community small business was a priority for us. Working with this diverse crew was amazing. With the challenges of delays due to covid, the supply interruptions and our rainy spring, the crew kept on schedule as much possible. Our work site was cleaned every day. Something we didn't see with some other contractors. Plus, they are seriously great family people...taking time to say hello to the grandkids and family coming to see the work completed.
